Abstract

Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code (New Criminal Code) was finally passed as a substitute for the old Criminal Code or Law Number 1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations; in the new Criminal Code, several articles have received pros and cons in the community, one of which is related to the inclusion of articles on laws that live in society (Customary Law). The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze carefully the role of customary Law in the specifics of criminal Law after its inclusion in the new Criminal Code so that we can find out about its position as a law that was once known as unwritten Law into written Law. The legal research method used is normative juridical legal research, which is conducted on library materials using the statute, conceptual, case, and historical approaches. The results of the research that the author has obtained that the Law that lives in the community (Customary Law) in the specific criminal Law in the new Criminal Code will be made a Government Regulation (PP) as the implementation of the regulation so that it can be used as a guideline for the Regional Government in making Regional Regulations (PERDA) on the Law that lives in the community (Customary Law) and researchers also provide the concept of applying the Law that lives in the community (Customary Law) with the approach of the principle of restorative justice for law enforcement officials in carrying out their duties as representatives of the state related to the process of enforcing customary criminal Law.

Abstract

This research comprehensively investigates the pedagogical effectiveness of integrating Augmented Reality (AR)-based digital visualization, facilitated by Assemblr EDU platform using Anchored Instruction (AI) learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills. The research method employed was a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design, involving 60 seventh grade students (average age of 13-15 years old) from Global Islamic School Al Amin Junior High School Gondanglegi. The primary instrument for data collection was a valid and reliable critical thinking skills test (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.82), which was specifically designed to measure six crucial aspects of critical thinking. The experimental group adopted learning process that integrated an environmental pollution case study as an anchor by utilizing interactive AR model and visualization creation task using Assemblr EDU. In contrast, the control group was given a lesson using the same AI model but without the AR digital visualization component. The research findings portrayed a statistically significant difference (p < 0.05) in the improvement of critical thinking skills scores between the experimental group (mean gain score 19.7, SD = 3.1) and the control group (mean gain score 9.7, SD = 2.8). The Cohen's d effect size of 2.56 indicated a powerful impact of the intervention. This research provides important implications for science education practice, highlighting the transformative potential of visualization technology, particularly AR through easily accessible platforms such as Assemblr EDU, in enhancing student engagement, facilitating the understanding of complex concepts and empowering the development of their critical thinking skills in facing the increasingly complex environmental challenges

Abstract

This research aims at finding out the form of indigenous knowledge of the Tebat Benawa Community toward Tebat Bukit conservation. The researchers conducted this descriptive study from December 2019 to January 2020. The object of the study was the Tebat Benawa Village Community. The data were collected through literature study, observation, and semi-structured interviews. The results show that the community has five indigenous knowledge in the implementation of Tebat Bukit conservation which is classified into three indicators: the availability of tebat (artificial lake) water, Tebat Bukit, and ghumbus; the use of tebat water called Siring Ayik; tebat and its water management, namely nebasi jalan, ghumbus, and society knowledge transfer in preserving Tebat Bukit through direct experience sharing. The experience sharing is conducted by fishing in tebat, implementing indigenous tradition, socializing with the village administration, giving parental advice, and fostering petatah-petitih (oral tradition on local wisdom).

Abstract

Air merupakan komponen penting yang harus ada di bumi dan tetap harus di jaga kelestariannya dengan konservasi air yang diajarkan sejak dini, melalui sistem belajar yang kompleks pada materi siklus air dan mengaitkannya dengan berpikir sistem dikembangkanlah LKPD berbasis system approach pada topik siklus air di SMP yang di uji kevalidan dan kepraktisannya melalui metode Developmental Research tipe II oleh Richey & Klein (2005) dengan dua tahapan yaitu fase eksplorasi dan uji coba kepada peserta didik. Fase uji coba dilakukan melalui metode lesson study yang diobservasi oleh lima orang observer dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Hasil LKPD divalidasi oleh lima orang validator untuk menguji kevalidan LKPD dengan menggunakan skala likert. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh berupa persentasi uji kevalidan dengan rata-rata78% yang artinya LKPD sudah dalam kategori valid. Kemudian dari hasil uji praktikalitas peserta didik diperoleh hasil rata-rata 81,02% yang menunjukkan kategori sangat praktis. Sehingga di hasilkanlah LKPD yang mempunyai nilai kevalidan dan kepraktisan yang layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran siklus air.

Abstract

Waqf, as one of the Islamic social and economic institutions has enormous potentials in encouraging efforts to improve people’s economy. As a country with a huge population and the Muslim majority, Indonesia needs to explore and develops the potential of this religious institution. The combination of religious orders and social values can be utilized as a strong ideological backdrop for the government in managing waqfs so as to grow and be productive. This study tries to examine the status of land endowed in wakaf in Demak district before and after the enactment of Waqaf Law Number 41/ 2004 as well as to identify factors supporting and hindering efforts to optimize wakaf empowerment. This research used a socio-normative approach and it was conducted in several locations within Demak Regency. This study reveals that wakaf institutions in Demak Regency have not been able to improve the welfare of the community. This is because a lot of wakaf land in the area are not managed professionally and productively. Therefore, in the future, it is necessary to develop the professionalism of the Nazir (curator) so that Wakaf institutions can be developed optimally and innovatively to achieve the prosperity of muslim society.

Abstract

The Digital Simulation course consists of both theoretical and practical components, where students must first master the theory before engaging in practice. Theoretical knowledge is delivered through lectures and supplemented with online weblog materials about designing interactive learning media using the Peth Simulation application, focusing on the topic of fractions, and utilizing a website platform. To design interactive learning media on fractions using the Peth Simulation application and Google Sites as the website, students must understand the software application. By mastering the procedures for designing web-based interactive learning media using Peth Simulation, students are expected to produce outputs in the form of images and text. The issue examined in this study is whether there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between students taught using a group discussion model and those without it. To address this issue, an experimental study was conducted at Universitas UPGRIS, specifically among fourth-semester undergraduate students majoring in Information Technology Education who were enrolled in the Digital Simulation course. The study involved one class, with an average of 32 students. A total of 30 students were selected as research subjects, divided into two groups of 15. Two types of data were collected in this study: (1) data from the group taught using group discussion regarding their ability to design web-based interactive learning media using Peth Simulation on the topic of fractions, and (2) data from the group without group discussion on the same task. The data were obtained through assignments and analyzed statistically using a t-test to determine the difference in learning outcomes between the two groups. The results of the t-test showed a significant difference in learning achievement, with the group that used the group discussion model performing significantly better in designing web-based interactive learning media using Peth Simulation on the topic of fractions than the group without group discussion.Keywords : Ability; Designing; Learning Media; Peth Simulation; Website.

Abstract

There are difficulties in accustoming students to hone their metacognitive abilities in learning human anatomy and physiology in the era of the 4.0 revolution due to the lack of availability of SETS-based multimedia assessments. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of SETS-based multimedia assessments on students' metacognitive abilities. The research method was a quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design pretest-posttest. The research sample was 2 classes (the experimental class was called A and the control class was called B) with 17 students in the experimental class, and 24 students in the control class in the Biology Education Study Program of IKIP Budi Utomo, who were taking the human anatomy and physiology course. The research instrument was pretest and posttest questions on the SETS-based multimedia assessment as many as 15 multiple-choice questions containing indicators of metacognitive abilities. The research data were in the form of pretest and posttest scores from the experimental class and the control class. The research data analysis technique used the Anacova test via SPSS for Windows. The results showed that SETS-based multimedia assessments affected students' metacognitive abilities (sig < 0.05). The study concludes that SETS-based multimedia assessment affects students' metacognitive abilities in human anatomy and physiology courses. The results of this study are recommended as assessment development materials to be integrated into the higher education curriculum as an effort to empower students' metacognitive abilities.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. So far, the concentration of capsaicin in food has been determined using the tongue. Several analytical methods were developed to determine the concentration of capsaicin, but they have many drawbacks such as being expensive, long analysis time, requiring hazardous chemicals, and being difficult to operate. This research aims to prepare a material that has high stability and excellent electrocatalytic activity to determine capsaicin concentration. The research was conducted by preparing powdered platinum electrodes mixed with polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The mixture of the two materials is added with tetrahydrofuran (THF), dried, and pressed so that it becomes a solid electrode which is a platinum powder composite (PPC). These electrodes are used as working electrodes for the analysis of capsaicin in food sauce. The results showed that the NaOH electrolyte was the best electrolyte for capsaicin analysis using platinum powder composite electrodes. The PPC electrode showed good test method validation results, namely recovery of 108.69%, LOD, and LOQ of 5.9 x 10-1 mM and 19.9 x 10-1 mM, respectively. The capsaicin concentration in the food sauce was 0.029 M in a 0.5 g sample. Keywords: Capsaicin, composite, cyclic voltammetry, platinum powder, sensor

Abstract

This study aimed at testing the feasibility of Learning Media with Blended Learning Model and Augmented Reality-assisted MOOCs. The research was conducted at Bengkulu University in 2020. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire to test the validity of the material, a questionnaire to test the validity of the blended learning model, and a questionnaire to test the validity of augmented reality-assisted MOOCs used in learning media. Each of the three questionnaires was filled out by 3 validators. The results of this study indicated that the 3 instruments used were valid. This was evidenced by the results of the validity calculation which states that all questions are valid and no questions are issued. The results of this study showed that the learning media developed was feasible to use both in terms of material, blended learning model design, and in terms of the augmented reality-assisted MOOCs used.

Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi kerja tersebut adalah variabel kompetensi, disiplin kerja dan pelatihan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuisioner yang disebarkan kepada 49 responden. Uji kualitas data dengan menggunakan uji validitas, uji reliabilitas dan uji normalitas. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial dengan menggunakan perhitungan statistik dengan rumus regresi berganda, uji parsial uji simultan dan koefisien determinasi.Hasil penelitian didapat kompetensi, disiplin kerja dan pelatihan berpengaruh signifikan secara bersama-sama terhadap motivasi kerja Personel Polri Pada Bidang Satreskrim Polres Empat Lawang. Kompetensi, disiplin kerja dan pelatihan berpengaruh signifikan secara sendiri-sendiri terhadap motivasi kerja Personel Polri Pada Bidang Satreskrim Polres Empat Lawang.
