Abstract

Dividend policy is a decision in using profits, whether the profits earned by the company will be distributed to shareholders as dividends or will be retained in the form of retained earning to finance investments in the future. The pharmaceutical sub-sector has a high investment realization value and in relation to dividends, investors definitely want a return, one of which is through dividends. This study takes 4 variabel as factors that influence dividend policy, including profitability (ROA), leverage (DER), liquidity (CR), and firm size. The research method uses multiple linear regression analysis with an observation period of 7 years. The results of the study reveal that simultaneously the variables of profitability (ROA), leverage (DER), liquidity (CR), and firm size have a significant effect on dividend policy in the pharmaceutical sub-sector. Partially, only the liquidity variable (CR) has a significant effect on dividend policy, while the profitability (ROA), leverage (DER) and firm size variables has no significant effect on dividend policy in pharmaceutical sub-sector.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and understand the dynamics of community participation in the village development planning process (Musrenbangdes) in Tambayoli Village, Soyo Jaya District, North Morowali Regency. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through purposive sampling, open data collection methods, and analysis of both textual and visual materials. The primary methods of data collection included participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document review. The findings reveal that, although some awareness of Musrenbangdes has been achieved through existing announcement systems, the overall effectiveness of community participation remains limited. Many residents perceive the process as a formality, with decisions dominated by specific stakeholders, leading to low levels of trust and engagement. The study identifies significant barriers to active participation, such as inadequate information dissemination, lack of transparency, and limited involvement in both the implementation and benefit-sharing of development projects. The research suggests that for Musrenbangdes to be more effective, there needs to be a concerted effort to enhance transparency, ensure equitable information distribution, and create a more inclusive participatory framework. These findings have implications for improving governance and promoting sustainable development at the village level.

Abstract

Empirically, this study aims to examine the relationship between Work Motivation and Optimism on the Adversity Quotient in Honorary Teachers. The population of this study consisted of 500 teachers, with a sample of 125 teachers selected through random sampling. Data collection techniques included questionnaires and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using regression and ANOVA tests. The results of this study show that Work Motivation and Optimism positively influence the Adversity Quotient. Based on the analysis, it was found that the Work Motivation variable (x1) influences the emergence of the Adversity Quotient (t = 34.181), while the Optimism variable (x2) does not significantly influence the emergence of the Adversity Quotient (t = 1.493). The combined influence of Work Motivation and Optimism on the emergence of the Adversity Quotient is 93.9%. The significance value for the simultaneous influence of X1 and X2 on Y is 0.000 < 0.05, and the calculated F value is 913.956 > F table value of 3.07.

Abstract

Advancements in technology and the internet have influenced the consumer behavior of society, including students. This phenomenon has become more evident with the ease of online shopping and the use of the Paylaterpayment system. From the perspective of Islamic economics, this consumptive behavior raises questions about its alignment with recommended principles. This research aims to analyze the consumptive behavior of students in online shopping using the Paylater system from an Islamic economic perspective. The study also seeks to understand the impact of the ease of online shopping on consumptive behavior and how it aligns with Islamic economic principles. Most previous research has focused more on consumer behavior in general or within the context of conventional economics. There is still little research that specifically examines consumptive behavior in online shopping using the paylater system from an Islamic economic perspective, especially involving students as research subjects. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The research results indicate that the consumptive behavior of students in online shopping is influenced by the convenience and ease offered by the paylater system. From the perspective of Islamic economics, this behavior can be considered inappropriate as it encourages purchases not based on actual needs but rather on desires or prestige. Islam emphasizes meeting needs in a simple way and avoiding wasteful or extravagant behavior. This research has important implications for educational policies and the regulation of financial technology usage among students. There is a need for education on the importance of prudent financial management in accordance with Islamic economic principles. Additionally, the results of this study can serve as a basis for developing stricter policies related to the use of the paylater system to reduce excessive consumptive behavior.

Abstract

This study investigates sedimentation in open channels utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The validation indicates a strong agreement between the simulation and the reference data. Flow velocity substantially decreases in the branched channel post-bifurcation. Similarly, at a 90o bend, there is a notable drop in flow velocity after the curve. A vortex forms in areas where the velocity decreases. Sedimentation prediction can be achieved by observing these velocity reductions in specific channel sections. In the branched channel, low velocities and localized water eddies are found after the bifurcation point. In a channel with a 90o bend, the velocity diminishes on the inner side of the curve, with vortices forming, acting as potential sediment traps. This study highlights the utility of CFD as an effective method for enhancing the understanding of sedimentation processes in river systems.

Abstract

IntroductionEconomic education plays a crucial role in empowering communities to recognize and manage the potential of local resources. In the of increasing global competitiveness, local resources are often overlooked, though they possess strategic value for community-based development. When aligned with Sharia entrepreneurial principles, the optimization of local resources can contribute not only to income growth but also to ethical and sustainable economic practices.ObjectivesThis study aims to explore the role of economic education in promoting Sharia-based entrepreneurship for optimizing local resource potential. Specifically, it investigates how economic education affects economic literacy and business diversification, and how it contributes to increasing community income.MethodThe research employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data to provide a comprehensive analysis. Quantitative data were collected via a structured survey involving 300 respondents, while qualitative insights were obtained through in-depth interviews with 15 selected participants. Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools were used to assist in refining and analyzing the content for clarity and coherence.ResultsThe findings reveal that economic education significantly enhances economic literacy, as shown by an increase in literacy scores from 3.1 to 4.3. Moreover, 40% of respondents diversified their businesses after participating in the training—primarily into value-added agricultural products and tourism services. Interview data also highlight a shift in mindset, with communities beginning to focus on the development and management of local resources rather than merely utilizing them in traditional ways.ImplicationsThe study underscores the importance of practice-based economic education programs that incorporate technology and uphold Sharia principles. Effective collaboration among government institutions, private sectors, and educational bodies is essential to support infrastructure and funding for sustainable impact.Originality/NoveltyThis study uniquely combines the perspectives of economic education and Sharia entrepreneurship in the context of local resource optimization, an approach that has rarely been addressed in previous empirical studies. It also integrates AI-assisted analysis for enhanced validity and relevance in community development frameworks.
