Abstract

The learning process is a crucial activity in enhancing the quality of learning outcomes, making the active role of students a significant factor. Family support influences student engagement in their learning at school. The research aims to examine the role of self-concept towards student engagement with family support as a mediating variable. This study utilizes a quantitative method involving data collection through scale completion. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, where samples are selected based on specific characteristics. The results of this research indicate that self-concept plays a significant role in student engagement with family support as a mediator, with a Sobel test statistic of 2.202 > 1.96 and a two-tailed p-value of 0.02 < 0.05. This suggests that self-concept significantly and positively influences student engagement, and family support can mediate the emergence of student engagement behavior.

Abstract

Procrastination is a common behavioral issue in the academic domain, characterized by the tendency to delay tasks. This study investigates the relationship between parental social support and academic procrastination, examining the mediating role of self-concept among students at Institut Syekh Abdul Halim Hasan Binjai. The population of the study comprised 612 students, with a sample of 242 respondents selected through random sampling. Data were collected using three scales: self-concept, parental support, and academic procrastination. Multiple regression analysis was employed to assess the relationships between variables. The findings reveal a significant negative relationship between parental support and academic procrastination. Additionally, a negative relationship is identified between parental support, mediated by self-concept, and academic procrastination. The study indicates that 24% of the variance in academic procrastination is accounted for by parental support through self-concept. The study concludes that higher levels of parental support enhance students' self-concept, which in turn significantly reduces academic procrastination. These findings underscore the importance of parental involvement in fostering positive academic behaviors among students.

Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of absorption of graduates from SMK Negeri 1 Bangsri Jepara, Department of Motorcycle Engineering and Business, who work not according to their majors. The research method used is a qualitative method and the evaluation model used in this study is the CIPP evaluation model. Data collection techniques by means of in-depth interviews, observations and documentation studies. And data analysis techniques with data collection, data reduction, data presentation, verification and confirmation of conclusions.Research shows that context evaluation is appropriate, as evidenced by the learning process in schools that has been fulfilled in the implementation of direct practice in the world of work. Input evaluation is appropriate as evidenced by the planning, implementation and evaluation of Industrial Work Practices. Process evaluation found that students were able to carry out the Industrial Work Practice program well, but the monitoring activities of the supervising teacher were not optimal. Product evaluation has been well demonstrated by changes in the skills of competent students after carrying out the Industrial Work Practice program.The results of the study can be concluded that the Evaluation of the Industrial Work Practice Implementation Program using the CIPP model in the Motorcycle Engineering and Business Department at SMK Negeri 1 Bangsri Jepara through the stages of planning, implementation, evaluation and follow-up can provide information for improving the quality of Education in SMK.

Abstract

Employee work performance looks different even though they admit that they have the same job satisfaction, so the research questions to be asked are, is there a direct effect of job satisfaction on job performance? and is there an indirect effect of job satisfaction on job performance through resilience?. So far, it is known that job satisfaction is an important factor, but it does not measure the resilience that occurs in individuals, even though sustainable work performance occurs not only because they are satisfied with their jobs but resilience plays an important role in long-term work. This study uses a non-experimental quantitative approach with a case study approach because it aims to see a group of samples and not to generalize the results of the study. Samples were collected by being selected based on job performance assessments from the research location. Data were taken using three scales and analyzed with mediation. The results of this study explain that rejecting the first null hypothesis, which means that there is a direct effect of job satisfaction on job performance significantly. Then rejecting the second null hypothesis, which means that there is an indirect effect of job satisfaction on job performance through resilience significantly. The conclusions and suggestions in this study are explained further.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengukur bagaimana pengaruh Financial technology, Literasi Keuangan, Motivasi Investasi dan Persepsi Risiko terhadap Minat Investasi pada Generasi Z di Kecamatan Tambun Selatan. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dimana objek yang digunakan merupakan Generasi Z di Kecamatan Tambun Selatan yang berjumlah 106.298 dan menjadikan fokus populasi dalam analisis ini. Adapun jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 80 responden. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner dan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengujian hipotesis (hypothesis testing) dengan menggunakan Structural Equation Model (SEM) – SmartPLS 3.0. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan penjelasan bahwa variabel Motivasi Investasi (X3) memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Minat Investasi. Namun Financial Technology (X1), Literasi Keuangan (X2), dan Persepsi Risiko (X4) tidak berpengaruh terhadap Minat Investasi dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Acoustic materials such as plastic carpet, gypsum board, styrofoam and plywood can be used to reduce sound intensity. Nevertheless, the existing research has generally focused on single-ingredient studies. In this research, the optimum thickness of each material will be sought based on its efficiency in reducing the sound intensity level. Besides that, the efficiency of various types of materials will also be tested for reducing the level of sound intensity. In this study, a resonator tube was used in making measurements. Acoustic materials used as test materials, both single materials and combined materials, can be placed in the resonator tube. The distance between the sound source and the detector is 30 cm, with the position of the detector right behind the acoustic material. Tests on a single material show that the measured sound intensity level decreases in proportion to the thickness of the acoustic material, with styrofoam has the lowest efficiency. Meanwhile, the combined material that combines plastic carpet material at a frequency of 2000 Hz has an efficiency value that tends to be higher than the combination of materials without carpet with efficiency >30%. However, at a frequency of 1500 Hz, all combined materials have efficiency values that are not significantly different. All models of material combinations are proven to be able to reduce sound intensity levels compared to single materials. Thus, it can be concluded that the combined material has the potential as an efficient acoustic material.

Abstract

The Royal Palm (Roystonea regia) is a type of monocotyledonous plant that is widely planted, especially as an ornamental plant that is part of the urban landscape. However, in its growth, there is a natural cycle where the royal palm leaves will fall and end up as waste. In this case, the royal palm leaf sheath is thought to have potential as a composite reinforcement material. However, in its utilization as a composite reinforcement material, basic information such as the physical and mechanical characteristics of the material needs to be known. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the physical and mechanical properties and potential utilization of the royal palm leaf sheath. The research shows that the green royal palm leaf sheath's water content and density are higher than the brown leaf sheath. In addition, the dimensional stability of the green leaf sheath is higher than that of the brown leaf sheath. The tensile strength of the green conditions is lower than that of the brown conditions, and the strength decreases towards the core of the royal palm leaf sheath. Meanwhile, the tensile strength of the fibers from the two leaf sheath conditions is not significantly different. This test shows that the royal palm leaf sheath fiber is classified into fiber class II. This shows that the royal palm leaf sheath has the potential as a composite reinforcement material.

Abstract

Abstrak —Pada pelayanan pembelian tiket kapal di pelabuhan penyeberangan kota Gorontalo sering terjadi antrian. Antrian terjadi karena adanya masalah dalam pelayanan, masalah tersebut terjadi karena tingkat kedatangan pelanggan lebih besar dari pada tingkat pelayanan. Karena hal ini membuat konsumen menunggu untuk dilayani. Oleh karena itu, untuk melihat kinerja sistem layanan loket pembelian tiket kapal di pelabuhan penyeberangan Gorontalo maka diperlukan  simulasi sistem antrian menggunakan aplikasi ProModel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berapa lama waktu antrian setiap konsumen dalam mendapatkan pelayanan pada pembelian tiket di Pelabuhan Penyeberangan Gorontalo dan untuk Mengetahui kinerja  pelayanan  pada pembelian tiket kapal feri di pelabuhan penyeberangan Gorontalo menggunakan aplikasi simulasi ProModel. Adapun hasil report tingkat kesibukan pada loket administrasi sebesar 22,17%, validasi vaksin 58,02% dan loket pembelian tiket 92,30% dengan rata-rata waktu pelayanan pada loket administrasi sebesar 1,90 penumpang dalam 1 menit, validasi vaksin 0,84 penumpang dalam 1 menit dan loket pembelian tiket 1,02 penumpang dalam 1 menit.Currently, queues often occur when purchasing ferry ticket at the ferry port in Gororntalo, and it occurs due to experiencing problems in service particularly when the arrival rate of customers is greater than the level of service. Consequently, this makes consumers wait to be served. Therefore, to observe the performance of boat ticket counter service system at the Gorontalo ferry port, it is necessary to simulate the queuing system using ProModel application. This present research aims to determine how long the queue time for each consumer is to obtain service for purchasing tickets at the Gorontalo ferry port. Also, it aims to determine the service performance for purchasing ferry tickets at the Gorontalo ferry port using ProModel simulation application. The result of report reveal that the level of activityat the administration counter is 22,17% validation of vaccines is 58,02% and ticket counter is 92,30%. Abstract

Penentuan kualitas kopra merupakan proses penting dalam industri perkebunan kelapa yang bertujuan untuk menentukan kualitas kopra yang dihasilkan. Namun, proses ini seringkali sulit dilakukan secara manual karena dipengaruhi oleh subyektivitas dari petugas yang melakukan pengamatan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu metode yang objektif untuk membantu proses tersebut, salah satunya adalah logika fuzzy. Logika fuzzy dapat digunakan untuk mengelola informasi tidak jelas dengan menggunakan aturan-aturan matematis dimulai dengan definisi himpunan fuzzy, definisi aturan fuzzy, proses fuzzyfikasi dan terakhir defuzzyfikasi. Studi ini bertujuan guna membangun sistem yang bisa menolong dalam penentuan mutu kopra di PT Multi Nabati Sulawesi dengan memanfaatkan logika fuzzy. Hasil dari riset ini menampilkan kalau sistem yang dibentuk bisa menentukan kualitas kopra dengan akurasi sebesar 95% dan memberikan rekomendasi kualitas yang sesuai dengan kondisi sampel yang diuji.Determining the quality of copra is an important process in the coconut farming industry that aims to determine the quality of copra produced. However, this process is often difficult to perform manually due to the subjectivity of the officers performing the observation. Therefore, an objective method is required to assist in this process, one of which is fuzzy logic. Fuzzy logic can be used to manage unclear information using mathematical rules, starting with the definition of fuzzy sets, definition of fuzzy rules, fuzzyfication process, and lastly defuzzification process. This research aims to develop a system that can assist in determining the quality of copra in PT Multi Nabati Sulawesi using fuzzy logic. The results of this research show that the system developed can determine the quality of copra with an accuracy of 95% and provide appropriate quality recommendations based on the conditions of the samples tested

Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of waste in the cheese banana chips production process at Flamboyan UKM and find out how to minimize waste in the production process. This study uses the lean manufacturing method in evaluating the formulation to identify and reduce waste that occurs in Flamboyan UKM. The results of this study are two wastes, namely waiting time where waiting activities occur in the stacking of finished products in the draining process with a time of 247.13 seconds and in the cooling process with a time of 251.77, and waste defects where there are cracked chips, charred chips and packaging processes that are not good , causing the chips to not be crispy. The conclusion of this research is to minimize waste wasting time by adding a spinner machine in the draining process, as well as for the cooling process to minimize waste waiting time for the chips to be separated into several containers. Furthermore, for waste defects, conduct training for employees and carry out product checks or checks. Suggestions for Flamboyan SMEs need training for employees to be more effective in carrying out good work and making continuous improvements in order to get good product results
