Abstract

Kurikulum pendidikan agama memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk nilai-nilai moral siswa di lingkungan sekolah. Pendidikan agama tidak hanya menekankan penguasaan pengetahuan keagamaan, tetapi juga internalisasi nilai moral yang tercermin dalam sikap dan perilaku peserta didik. Melalui materi ajar, metode pembelajaran, dan keteladanan, kurikulum pendidikan agama berfungsi sebagai pedoman dalam membentuk sikap religius, etika sosial, tanggung jawab, kejujuran, dan toleransi. Kurikulum yang disusun secara sistematis dan kontekstual diharapkan mampu menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai moral dalam kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh kurikulum pendidikan agama terhadap pembentukan nilai moral siswa dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi kepustakaan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif-analitis untuk memahami peran kurikulum, materi, metode, dan guru dalam pembentukan karakter. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum pendidikan agama yang didukung keteladanan guru dan lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif berkontribusi signifikan dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai moral siswa, sehingga optimalisasi kurikulum menjadi faktor penting dalam pembinaan karakter peserta didik.

Abstract

Adapum penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan budaya sekolah di SMK Kesehatan Athalla Putra Palembang dan untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan budaya sekolah di SMK Kesehatan Athalla Putra Palembang. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Dalam hal ini yang menjadi informan penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah, waka kesiswaan, guru BK. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik yang digunakan dalam analisi data adalahreduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pelaksanaan budaya sekolah di SMK Kesehatan Athalla Putra Palembang dilakukan dengan baik. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dilihat dalam pelaksanaan budaya sekolah di SMK Kesehatan Athalla Putra Palembang dengan adanya koordinasi dalam pelaksanaan budaya sekolah, motivasi dalam pelaksanaan budaya sekolah, pengarahan dalam pelaksanaan budaya sekolah, dan komunikasi dalam pelaksanaan budaya sekolah. Adapun faktor pendukung dalam pelaksanaan budaya sekolah di SMK Kesehatan Athalla Putra Palembang yaitu adanya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang efektip, guru dan staf sekolah yang kompeten, peserta didik yang patuh, pembelajaran yang interaktif, fasilitas yang memadai, biaya yang mencukupi, adanya kerjasama dengan orang tua. Sedangkan faktor penghambat pelaksaan budaya sekolah di SMK Kesehatan Athalla Putra Palembang yaitu kurangnya keterlibatan masyarakat di sekitar lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

This research empirically examines the philosophical dimensions of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), namely ontology, epistemology, and axiology, to develop an ethical foundation for the presence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in elementary schools. This study is urgent due to government policies mandating Coding and AI (KKA) lessons and the limited philosophical PAI studies on AI. The study employs an interpretive phenomenological qualitative approach at Az-Zahrah Islamic Elementary School in Palembang, which adheres to Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah (specifically Ḥifẓ al-Dīn and Ḥifẓ al-‘Aql). Data were collected through interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis. The main findings are structured by dimension: 1) Ontologically, PAI positions AI as an inanimate tool (a non-divine creation), maintaining Ḥifẓ al-Dīn (rejecting AI authority) and Ḥifẓ al-'Aql (viewing AI as a human intellectual extension). 2) Epistemologically, PAI establishes the Qur'an and Hadith as the ultimate ethical filters for AI algorithmic information and emphasizes citing sources (plagiarism is considered ghishsh). 3) Axiologically, PAI uses the principles of maṣlaḥah (greatest good) and mas'uliyah (full user moral responsibility) as a moral compass, rejecting technological determinism. The PAI philosophical framework successfully serves as an adaptive and critical ethical basis for AI, aiming to produce a competent, reflective, and responsible generation aligned with Islamic values.

Abstract

This study examines global challenges in enhancing elementary school students' speaking skills with a focus on the effective implementation of the storytelling method. The aim of the research is to analyze the implementation of storytelling to improve speaking skills and identify obstacles encountered during the learning process. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, with subjects consisting of teachers and fourth-grade students at MI Al Adli Palembang. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the systematic application of the storytelling method through stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation effectively improved students' speaking competence, enthusiasm, and self-confidence, despite challenges related to language and classroom management. The conclusion affirms storytelling as a valuable pedagogical approach that requires adaptive teaching strategies and a supportive learning environment to optimize its benefits in Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

The Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum holds a strategic position in Indonesia’s national education system as a guide for fostering moral, spiritual, and character-based development among students. This study aims to describe the concept, objectives, and benefits of the PAI curriculum in shaping individuals who are faithful, pious, and possess noble character. The research employs a qualitative approach through library research, analyzing various literature sources such as curriculum documents, academic books, and scholarly journals.The findings indicate that the PAI curriculum is systematically designed to integrate Islamic values with the development of intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence. It serves to balance cognitive understanding and moral formation while preparing students to face the challenges of globalization with strong faith and ethical resilience. Furthermore, the PAI curriculum plays an essential role in cultivating Islamic character, strengthening moral integrity, and guiding educators in designing contextual and relevant learning processes.

Abstract

Indonesia’s education system is undergoing a significant transformation that requires a learning approach grounded in flexibility, relevance, and the development of 21st-century competencies. The Merdeka Learning framework emerges as a conceptual foundation that places students at the center of the learning process through curriculum flexibility, differentiated instruction, and character reinforcement. This article examines the theoretical foundations, operational principles, and implementation implications of Merdeka Learning within the broader transformation of Indonesia’s educational system. Drawing on constructivist theory, competency-based learning, and ecological perspectives on education, the analysis highlights that successful transformation depends not only on curriculum design but also on the readiness of the entire educational ecosystem. The study concludes that Merdeka Learning has the potential to strengthen educational quality when supported by policy alignment, teacher capacity, and equitable access to learning infrastructure.

Abstract

Peter Jarvis' theory of adult learning offers a rich conceptual framework for understanding the dynamics of cultural externalization in collaborative learning. This study aims to analyze how learning processes involving social interaction and experience can facilitate cultural externalization as an integral part of collaborative learning. Through the use of a qualitative approach based on literature studies, this article explores the relationship between individual experiences, group interactions, and cultural constructions produced through the learning process. The results of the study indicate that collaborative learning based on the principles of Jarvis' Theory creates a dialogic space that allows individuals to integrate personal experiences with group norms and values. Cultural externalization occurs when the results of the dialogue are expressed in the form of new symbols, practices, or knowledge that can be shared. It is identified that key elements in the dynamics of cultural externalization include openness to diverse perspectives, the ability to reflect, and the continuity of interaction in the learning context

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of storytelling activities using wayang media on the social and emotional development of children aged 5-6 years at Tatuka Kesuma Kindergarten, Palembang. The method applied in this study is an experimental method, which focuses on the analysis of cause-and-effect relationships between the variables studied. The research design used is a One Group Pretest Posttest Design, which allows researchers to measure changes that occur before and after the intervention. The population that became the subject of this study were 11 children in grade B at Tatuka Kesuma Kindergarten, Palembang. The selection of this subject was based on initial observations that indicated problems in the social and emotional aspects of children at the school. The observations were aimed at understanding more deeply the social and emotional conditions of children in grade B, as well as to assess the effect of storytelling activities using wayang media. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the social and emotional development of children aged 5-6 years after participating in storytelling activities using wayang media. This increase included aspects such as the ability to interact, empathy, and emotional management. Thus, it can be concluded that storytelling activities using wayang media have a positive influence on the social and emotional development of children at Tatuka Kesuma Kindergarten, Palembang. This study provides evidence that creative and interactive storytelling methods can be an effective tool in supporting the social and emotional development of early childhood, and highlights the importance of using engaging media in the learning process. Furthermore, the results of this study can also serve as a reference for educators and parents to pay more attention to teaching methods that can improve children's social and emotional skills.

Abstract

The rapid technological shift in education increasingly requires teachers to demonstrate strong digital literacy aligned with continuous curriculum reform processes. In Indonesia, the Merdeka Curriculum promotes learner-centred pedagogy and systematic technology integration; however, many Islamic Education teachers still struggle to effectively apply digital competencies in lesson planning, instructional delivery, and assessment practices. This qualitative case study examined how innovative school leadership supports and strengthens teachers’ digital literacy development in a public secondary school in South Sumatra. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant classroom observations, and document analysis involving principals, teachers, administrative staff, and students. The data were analysed thematically using iterative analytical procedures supported by trustworthiness strategies. The findings reveal that leadership practices such as shared vision building, mentoring, instructional supervision, and collaborative professional learning consistently embed digital competence within school planning and ongoing professional development. These practices enhance teachers’ confidence, adaptability, and their use of digital tools in the classroom. Overall, leadership bridges curriculum reform objectives with teachers’ digital readiness in Education contexts.

Abstract

This article on Optimizing the Utilization of Technology in Islamic Education was written with the aim of forming good morals and morals in individuals. This study was conducted using two methods, namely a qualitative survey and literature review through a review of previous studies whose subject matter is of course related to the title of this article. Character education is very important for someone, because good character will form a good and moral person. Character learning naturally forms a person's character based on what is learned, so that the character remains in it and even forms an identity in the future. In the current era of modernization, character education can be achieved through Islamic learning. So that someone even though living in the era of globalization can preserve Islamic values ​​that are rooted within him.
