Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of designing a three-tier multiple choice diagnostic test in detecting salt hydrolysis misconceptions and to determine students’ responses to the diagnostic test design has been developed. This research and development study involved students at one Islamic high school in Palembang and five validators. Data were gathered through validation sheets, questionnaires, interviews, and tests. The results showed that the three-tier multiple choice diagnostic test design on the developed salt hydrolysis material was declared valid and meeting the criteria for good items. The students responded positively to the design of the diagnostic test. Applications to larger data sources can be carried out further by adjusting the time in solving problems.Keywords: Chemistry; misconception; salt hydrolysis; three-tier multiple choice diagnostic test

Abstract

Penelitian ini diatarbelakangi oleh kemajuan zaman yang mengakibatkan miskonsepsi tentang pemahaman keagamaan peserta didik sehingga menimbulkan sikap intoleran dan pemahaman agama yang ekstrem dalam pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas moderasi beragama sebagai solusi untuk tantangan pendidikan Islam era kontemporer. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kepustakaan dan teknik analisisnya menggunakan analisis isi (content analisys). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa moderasi beragama dapat menjadi solusi pendidikan Islam kontemporer melalui praktik nyata dalam dunia pendidikan. Nilai-nilai moderasi beragama harus diintegrasi secara mendalam ke dalam kurikulum, menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang dialogis dan efektif, penguatan peran guru sebagai teladan, dan menciptakan lingkungan moderat di lembaga pendidikan.

Abstract

This research is a developmental study aimed at producing valid, practical, and effective Pop-Up Book learning media using a Deep Learning approach to improve student learning activities. This development utilizes Rowntree's development model and Tessmer's formative evaluation. This developmental research was conducted at SD Negeri 05 Indralaya. This study demonstrated that the Pop-Up Book media was validated for its validity and practicality. The validation results were categorized as very valid by the material (content) experts, with a score of 88, and by the media experts with a score of 88, indicating that the Pop-Up Book media has been validated. The one-on-one testing phase yielded an average N-Gain of 0.77 for the three stories, categorized as high. The small group evaluation phase yielded an average N-Gain of 0.84 for the three stories, categorized as high. The field testing phase yielded an average N-Gain of 0.80 for the three stories, categorized as high, indicating that the product is highly practical and easy to use for children.The results of this study are expected to enable teachers to use Pop Up Book media using the Deep Learning approach and for other researchers as a reference for developing Pop Up Book media with other materials.

Abstract

Mutual cooperation which is an important part of strengthening character education. However, in fact, the value of mutual cooperation is beginning to erode due to the influence of individualism that is getting stronger. Therefore, the value of mutual cooperation in schools, especially elementary schools, needs to internalize this value from an early age. This study aims to describe teachers' strategies in instilling the values of mutual cooperation through SBdP (Music Arts) learning in Grade III students at Yayasan IBA Palembang Elementary School. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The subjects of the study include Music Arts teachers, grade III students, and school principals. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain comprehensive data. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn, while the validity of the data is tested through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study show that teachers' strategies in instilling the values of mutual cooperation through SBdP lessons, especially in music arts for grade III students, are carried out through various ways ranging from learning strategies, learning media, and learning evaluation. Supporting factors in the implementation of the strategy include students, parental support, and school support, inhibiting factors include limited learning time, experience playing music, and differences in students' character and social attitudes. Grade III students already have a good character of mutual cooperation seen from togetherness, please help, unity, socialization and family. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that teacher strategies that are designed in a planned and consistent manner are able to instill the values of mutual cooperation in elementary school students. This research can inspire elementary school teachers in instilling the values of mutual cooperation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze pedagogical innovation in Islamic educational institutions and examine the paradigm shift from traditional teacher-centered learning toward modern student-centered learning approaches. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method following the PRISMA framework to synthesize relevant literature on learning innovation in Islamic education. Data were collected from the Scopus database, resulting in 120 initial articles, of which 20 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed in depth. The findings indicate that pedagogical innovation in Islamic education is primarily reflected in the integration of digital technologies, the adoption of inquiry-based and problem-based learning approaches, the implementation of experiential and contextual learning, and the use of multimedia and interactive learning tools in Islamic studies. The review also reveals a significant paradigm shift from traditional teacher-centered learning toward more flexible, student-centered, and technology-supported learning environments. However, several challenges remain, including limited technological infrastructure, low digital literacy among educators, and the need to maintain Islamic ethical values within digital learning environments. Furthermore, the study proposes a conceptual model of pedagogical innovation in Islamic education that integrates technological development, learner-centered pedagogy, and value-based Islamic education. This model emphasizes that successful innovation requires a balanced integration of modern educational practices with Islamic moral and spiritual values. The findings contribute to the development of innovative pedagogical frameworks for Islamic educational institutions and provide recommendations for policymakers, educators, and researchers seeking to improve the quality and relevance of Islamic education in the digital era.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of a professional development program for Islamic education teachers organized by the Palembang City Government, Indonesia. Despite the growing number of teacher-training initiatives, empirical evaluations of programs specifically designed for Islamic education teachers remain limited, particularly at the local government level. Therefore, this study aims to examine the program’s effectiveness in improving teachers’ competencies using the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) evaluation framework. The study employed a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires from 66 Islamic education teachers, while qualitative data were obtained through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The quantitative results indicate very high levels of agreement across all CIPP components: 94.53% for context evaluation, 95.53% for input, 97.02% for process, and 98.51% for product evaluation. The findings also indicate improvements in teachers’ professional, pedagogical, personality, and social competencies after participating in the program. These results suggest that the program effectively enhances teachers’ instructional capacity and supports improvements in the quality of Islamic education. This study provides empirical evidence on the effectiveness of local government-led professional development programs and contributes to the application of the CIPP evaluation model in Islamic education policy contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Project Based Learning (PjBL) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) kelas IV MI Al-Awwal Palembang. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya partisipasi aktif peserta didik, kurangnya keterampilan kolaborasi, serta pencapaian hasil belajar yang belum optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen) dan desain posttest only control group. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas IV yang terdiri dari 45 siswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh, di mana kelas IV A sebagai kelompok kontrol (24 siswa) dan kelas IV B sebagai kelompok eksperimen (21 siswa). Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji-t (Independent Samples T-Test) dengan bantuan SPSS versi 26. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol dalam hal keterampilan kolaborasi dan hasil belajar, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (< 0,05). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model Project Based Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPAS. Oleh karena itu, model ini direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif inovatif dalam proses pembelajaran berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Compassion-Based Curriculum in strengthening students’ character in an Islamic boarding school setting and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing its implementation. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method by collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation involving school leaders, teachers, students, dormitory supervisors, and parents. The findings indicate that compassion values were integrated into classroom learning, religious habituation, pesantren culture, and students’ daily interactions. The principal and teachers played an active role in fostering empathy, discipline, responsibility, and mutual respect through both instructional activities and school culture. The implementation process was supported by a strong collective commitment among school members, a conducive boarding school environment, and parental involvement. Nevertheless, differences in students’ backgrounds and external social influences remained challenges in maintaining sustainable character development. This study demonstrates that the Compassion-Based Curriculum provides a meaningful approach to integrating emotional, spiritual, and social values within Islamic boarding school education.
