Abstract

The aims of this research is to develop interactive presentation media regarding ablution material using Canva. The intention of developing presentation media is to simplify the educators in delivering learning materials more attractively. This research is conducted by adopting the 4-D development model modified according to the researcher's needs and capabilities, including the steps (Definition, Design, Development, and Dissemination). The developed presentation media used Canva. The developed media that has undergone expert and material validation tests, was then limitedly trailed on 5 students as well on a larger scale with 18 randomly selected fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 47 Parepare. The result of this study is an interactive presentation media regarding ablution material using Canva. Based on the final validity assessment by media validators, it achieved a score of 85.29%, categorized as good. The material validation test achieved a final score of 97,06%, categorized as very good. Furthermore, to measure the students’ responses, the researcher delivered a small-scale trial scored 81%, categorized as good, and a large-scale trial scored 90.55%, categorized as very good. Therefore, it can be assumed that the interactive presentation media toward ablution material using Canva developed in this research is viable to be used in Islamic education learning toward ablution material for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 47 Parepare.

Abstract

Waste management is a significant public health issue in rural areas, with most residents still disposing of waste on empty land in front of or behind their homes. Although proper management practices have been widely discussed in developing countries, limited studies are using comprehensive variables based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to analyze the factors influencing community participation in Waste Bank programs. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the determinants of community participation in Waste Bank program in Paleteang District, Pinrang Regency, using TPB approach. The procedures were carried out using a quantitative survey with a cross-sectional design. Data were then collected from 396 participants using validated questionnaires, followed by analysis with Chi-Square tests and multiple linear regression. The results showed that subjective norms and perceived behavioral control significantly influenced community participation, with p-values of 0.025 and 0.005, and OR values of 4.183 and 8.250, respectively. Meanwhile, attitudes and satisfaction with local facilities had no significant influence. This showed the importance of social support and a sense of personal control in encouraging engagement. The results were expected to serve as a reference for policymakers in designing more effective and sustainable waste management programs in rural areas.

Abstract

Obesity is a condition due to the imbalance of calories in the body. Obesity which appears in adolescence tend to continue into adulthood, and until the elder years. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of obesity risk factors in traffic police.Methods : The design used case-control. The number of respondents were 90,  which  consist  of  45  cases  and  45 controls, which were selected using simple random sampling. Bivariate data analysis used chi-square and multivariate used logistic regression.Results : Two variables that were significantly associated are excessive calorie intake rate (OR = 10.95 and 95% CI = 3.22 to 37.16) and lack of physical activity (OR = 3.78 and 95% CI = 1.04 to 13 ,66). If respondents possess both of the factors, chances for obesity will equal to ( 88 % ).Conclusion : Risk factors are excessive calorie intake rate and lack of physical activity. It is expected to increase the role of leaders and institutions involved in the promotion of healthy living and obesity prevention through socialization. Keywords : Obesity, risk factors, excessive calorie intake rate, lack of physical activity

Abstract

This study delves into the impact of MinMax normalization on Oriented FAST and Rotated BRIEF (ORB) data when utilized as input for an Artificial Neural Network (ANN). The primary objective is to compare the accuracy of an ANN model using two distinct types of input data: raw ORB data and MinMax-normalized ORB data. The results underscore the pivotal role played by MinMax normalization in significantly enhancing the performance of the ANN model. Through a series of comprehensive experiments, it becomes evident that MinMax-normalized ORB data consistently outperforms raw ORB data in terms of accuracy. Impressively, the highest accuracy attained through MinMax normalization reaches 76.6%, whereas the utilization of raw ORB data yields a maximum accuracy of merely 51.1%. This noteworthy improvement effectively validates the prowess of MinMax normalization in counteracting the adverse effects stemming from varied scales within raw data. As a result, the ANN benefits from improved pattern recognition capabilities and heightened predictive accuracy.

Abstract

Robotics has seen an explosive increase in usage in the past few decades owing to its abundance of benefits and automation capabilities. The use of robotics is especially prominent in industries where the demand for precise and automatic robots in order to increase production efficiency is high. One of the robots commonly used in these industries is the arm robot model, which is a machine designed specifically to mimic some of the human arm’s capabilities in order to execute certain tasks over and over again, either autonomously or not. This paper will discuss the design of a robotic arm with five degrees of freedom capable of picking up and placing objects with three different colors and sorting the objects based on their size, starting from the largest to the smallest. The inclusion of an additional degree of freedom allows the robot to adjust the rotation of its grip to properly grab rotated objects. With an ESP32-CAM acting as its eyes, the robot is aided by a Python program run remotely on a separate Laptop in order to analyze video stream uploaded by the camera to determine the coordinates, color, size, and rotation of objects placed within the Detection Zone. The implementation of inverse kinematics equations run on an ESP32 microcontroller allows the robot to reach arbitrary coordinates specified by the Python program. Testing revealed that the resulting robot is able to perform the tasks it was designed to, namely recognizing and sorting colored boxes of different colors and sizes, with an accuracy 100% in recognition tasks and an accuracy of 91.5% in sorting tasks.

Abstract

The availability of clean water is a fundamental need for every individual, and PERUMDA Air Minum, has an important role in meeting this need in Indonesia. Water quality has a great influence on human health, so it cannot be ignored. This research developed an Internet of Things (IoT)-based raw water quality monitoring device for PERUMDA Air Minum Tirta Khatulistiwa Pontianak using a Raspberry Pi Pico W microcontroller. This device enables real-time monitoring, overcomes limitations in manual water quality monitoring, and provides remote monitoring access through the Blynk application. In addition, this research also implements the ARIMA method to predict the pH, temperature, and turbidity values of raw water in the sedimentation basin within the next seven days to support planning and treatment steps for raw water. The development of this tool aims to improve monitoring efficiency and proactive response to changes in water conditions, with the hope of being able to maintain clean water supply more effectively and overcome the constraints of manual monitoring. The results showed that the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of the performance of the constructed PDAM water quality monitoring device was 0,58%, while the MAPE of the predicted performance was 5,88%.

Abstract

The calculation of volume within a three-dimensional structure has the potential to determine its enclosed mass. This research aims to create a system that utilizes data from the HC-SR04 sensor to calculate volume, incorporating the Internet of Things (IoT) for remote monitoring. The study involves the use of HC-SR04 and DHT11 sensors to gather data on filled height and temperature. The measurement approach encompasses mathematical formulas for volume and surface area that correspond to the shape of the compartment. The ESP32 microcontroller serves as the central processing unit. Experimental trials are conducted, manipulating different height levels within the object. The results reveal differences between theoretical estimations and sensor-derived assessments, highlighted by varying outcomes in specific scenarios. The calculated volume of the filled compartment is displayed on OLED-1 and transmitted through the Blynk application. This study significantly contributes to the advancement of a sensor- and IoT-driven monitoring infrastructure, facilitating the observation of filled height and volume in physical objects. Despite certain variations observed in the trials, the outcomes consistently demonstrate minimal error rates.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut dengan kondisi jaringan periodontal pada Siswa SMA Negeri 1 Salem Kecamatan Salem Kabupaten Brebes. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian observasional dengan metode deskriptif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah Siswa Kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Salem Kecamatan Salem Kabupaten Brebes yang berjumlah 36 orang, semua populasi dijadikan sampel dalam penelitian. Data primer yang diambil yaitu penyakit jaringan periodontal dan kebutuhan perawatan pada Siswa Kelas XI IPS 1 dengan pemeriksaan Community Periodontal Index of  Treatment Needs (CPITN), pengolahan dan analisis data menggunakan distribusi frekuensi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: 1) Rata-rata kondisi jaringan periodontal siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMAN 1 Salem berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan Community Periodontal Index of Treatment Needs (CPITN) yaitu adanya subgingival calculus; 2) Rata-rata siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMAN 1 Salem memiliki perilaku pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut dengan kriteria sedang

Abstract

The lack of teaching materials for Pencak Silat and several movements in the Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) textbook is needed by teachers. This research aims to produce a Student Worksheet (LKPD) for PJOK Pencak Silat based on QR codes for 7th-grade students and assist PJOK teachers in facilitating PJOK learning, specifically in Pencak Silat. The method used in this research is Research and Development, using the Borg and Gall method. The subjects of this study were 7th-grade students in junior high school. The research instruments used were media assessment, material assessment, and teacher assessment. Based on the results of the assessment of the QR code-based LKPD for PJOK Pencak Silat by media experts, subject experts, and PJOK teachers, it obtained feasibility values of 89.3%, 80%, and 83.3% with the criteria of Very Feasible, Feasible, and Very Feasible, with an average assessment of 84.2%. Based on the description, it can be concluded that the QR code-based LKPD for PJOK Pencak Silat developed by the researchers is highly feasible to use. The researcher also tested the reliability of the Pencak Silat LKPD instrument using the K-R 20 formula and obtained a result of r11 0.864, which is greater than the r-table value of 0.234. This research resulted in a QR code-based LKPD for PJOK Pencak Silat that is suitable for use and can help PJOK teachers facilitate PJOK learning, particularly in the Pencak Silat subject.

Abstract

The attitude, spirit, and ability to create something new that is very valuable and useful for oneself and others is a form of entrepreneurship. The Role of entrepreneurship learning, higher education is intended to be able to form students who have an entrepreneurial mentality, in which there is a spirit of never giving up, good at seeing opportunities, brave to take risks, creative and innovative, apart from that, it can produce graduates who are ready to enter the world of work, and are even able to create jobs. This research aims to determine the growth of students' interest in entrepreneurship at the Al-Azhaar Lubuklinggau Islamic Institute students who have taken entrepreneurship courses using a sample of 56 students as respondents. The method used is quantitative in the form of a survey. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires online in the form of a Google Form with a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 4. Data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results of the study found that entrepreneurship learning plays a role in fostering student entrepreneurship interest. The research implications emphasize the importance of a holistic entrepreneurial learning approach and practical experience in increasing students' entrepreneurial interest. This highlights the active role that educational institutions can play in preparing students to become successful entrepreneurs and innovate.
