Abstract

Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) has a drawback in its use that it is very prone to cause fires because it is a hydrocarbon in the form of propane and butane. LPG storage must also use a strong cylinder and has no leakage. If the gas storage cylinder leaks, it will easily cause fire and explode when it is used. LPG must meet several particular criteria in terms of safety, so it does not damage the equipment used and can be efficient in its use. A gas leak detection system is required to reduce the risk of material and life loss due to gas cylinder leaks, which can later be used as a safety system or warning of gas leaks. The users can quickly response to gas leaks around them. The warning given can be a short message or an alarm as a reminder to the users. The purpose of this research is, first, to create an LPG gas leak pressure measurement algorithm using the MQ6 sensor and GSM SIM 900A for a Smart home. The second is to design an Arduino-based gas leak notification through an SMS Gateway. The method used in this study is experimental. This is a method that is generally used in laboratory research. The second is the prototype method, in which the device changes are carried out many times until the goal of the device to be developed is achieved. The research results are the first to produce an algorithm for measuring LPG gas leakage pressure using the MQ6 sensor, which can be installed in Smart home, testing this algorithm using a board on the Arduino microcontroller, which is connected directly to the MQ6 sensor as an input medium. After the algorithm is embedded to measure the gas leak pressure on the MQ6 sensor, it works as a sensor that only detects LPG, propane, butane and its types explicitly. In the results of trials that have been carried out by going through 4 stages of testing this detector, it will be more optimal to detect gas leaks at a distance of 5 cm. The second is to generate Arduino-based gas leak notification information using an SMS Gateway. This tool is also equipped with a GSM SIM 900A module that functions as an SMS gateway so that if a gas leak occurs, the GSM SIM 900A can be a communicator among the user's mobile devices to provide information via SMS. The better the quality of the available network, the faster the notification will be sent.

Abstract

Studies on Sufi poetry indicate that symbolism functions not only as an aesthetic expression but also as a medium of complex spiritual experience. However, previous research often separates religious symbols from existential imagery, resulting in fragmented interpretations of meaning. This study aims to analyze the symbols of the Beloved and the sea in the poetry of Ahmadun Yosi Herfanda using a Sufi symbolic approach. This research employs a qualitative method of textual analysis grounded in Vladimir Braginsky's symbolic-Sufi framework. The data consist of selected poems analyzed through symbol identification, interpretation of meaning, and their relation to Sufi concepts. The findings reveal that the Beloved's symbol represents the ultimate goal of union with the Divine. At the same time, the sea symbolizes the spiritual journey characterized by longing, trials, and alienation. Both symbols are integrated into a unified mystical structure connecting journey and union. The study concludes that mystical experience in Ahmadun Yosi Herfanda’s poetry is integrative and multidimensional. Its scholarly contribution lies in developing a Sufi symbolic reading that combines relational (Beloved) and processual (sea) dimensions within a systematic analytical framework.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of religious activities, identify the level of religious character, and examine the relationship between both variables among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 16 Gresik. The study used a quantitative correlational design. The population consisted of 295 students, and 75 students were selected through proportionate random sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires on religious activities and students' religious character. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics, normality and linearity tests, Pearson Product Moment correlation, and coefficient of determination. The results show that religious activities were in the high category (M = 61.46), while students' religious character was also high (M = 61.00). The prerequisite tests confirmed normal distribution and linear relationship. Hypothesis testing revealed a positive and significant relationship between religious activities and students' religious character (r = 0.612; p < 0.05). Religious activities contributed 37.4% to the formation of religious character. These findings indicate that systematic school religious programs support the internalization of religious values in students' daily lives.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector plays a significant role in driving economic growth while improving community welfare. However, many business actors still face challenges in financial management, particularly due to low levels of financial literacy, the absence of systematic recording practices, and limitations in developing sustainable business planning. These issues are also experienced by Yuni Emping MSME in Gedong Tataan, Pesawaran Regency, which encounters difficulties in monitoring its financial condition and managing production activities optimally. This study aims to strengthen business management capacity through the implementation of financial accounting strategies based on the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK EMKM). The research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, as well as training and mentoring activities involving business partners. The stages of the study include problem identification, implementation of basic financial recording training, and evaluation of the application of transaction recording systems. The findings indicate that prior to the mentoring activities, the business actors had not implemented structured financial recording and still mixed business finances with personal finances. After the training and mentoring were conducted, the partners demonstrated improved understanding in recording transactions, preparing simple income statements, and managing business cash flow. These results confirm that the implementation of SAK EMKM-based financial recording, supported by mentoring activities, can enhance financial management capabilities and facilitate more structured and sustainable business decision-making.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze occupational accident trends during the 2015–2025 period and evaluate the impact of implementing a digitalized K3L Patrol application based on the Kaizen approach on occupational safety performance at PT XYZ . The research employed a quantitative longitudinal design with a quasi-experimental approach by comparing the period before and after the implementation of digitalization, namely the pre-digitalization period (2015–2022) and the post-digitalization period (2023–2025).The secondary data analyzed included the number of occupational accidents, total working hours, and lost workdays. The safety performance indicators used in this study were Frequency Rate (FR), Severity Rate (SR), and Safety-T Score. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics to examine accident trends and inferential analysis using an independent samples t-test to determine differences in safety indicators between the two research periods. The results show that the average Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) decreased from 1.29 in the pre-digitalization period to 0.76 in the post-digitalization period (a reduction of 41%), although the difference was not statistically significant (t = 2.21; p = 0.054). In contrast, the average Lost Time Injury Severity Rate (LTISR) significantly decreased from 5.05 to 2.03 (a reduction of 60%) with t-test results (t = 2.78; p = 0.024). The Safety-T Score values during the study period were within the ±2 range, indicating that accident variations remained within normal limits (common cause variation).Furthermore, employee participation in hazard reporting increased by 60.7% after the implementation of the digitalized K3L Patrol system. These findings indicate that the digitalization of the safety reporting system based on the Kaizen approach can enhance employee participation in safety monitoring and contribute to reducing the severity level of occupational accidents. This study concludes that the digitalization of the occupational safety system based on the Kaizen approach is an effective strategy to support the improvement of safety culture toward dependent and interdependent levels and to support efforts to achieve zero accidents in industrial environments.

Abstract

This study investigates the representation of the phoneme [ŋ] in the onset position of Bahasa Indonesia (BI) and the factors influencing its changes among foreign speakers learning BI as a third language (L3). It employed a qualitative approach. Five BIPA students served as subjects. Their L1 and L2 typological proximity to BI was determined by language-family classification. Data were collected through elicitation and interviews, and analysis involved comparing the representation of the phoneme [ŋ] in subjects' speech with standard BI speech. Results show that the representation of the phoneme [ŋ] in the onset position by subjects whose L1 is typologically close to BI aligns with standard BI speech. This is attributed to their L1 having a similar phonological system to BI. Conversely, for foreign speakers whose L1 and L2 are typologically distant from BI, their phonological systems exhibit differences in speech compared to standard BI. In the speech of these subjects, the representation of [ŋ] in the onset position shows specific alterations. These include: 1) the epenthesis of [g] after [ŋ]; and 2) the shifting of [ŋ] from the onset to the coda of the preceding syllable, with the original onset position then being replaced by [g]. Two factors influence these changes: 1) the phonological systems of L1 and L2 lack [ŋ] in the onset position, though they permit it in medial and final positions; and 2) foreign speakers misinterpret the /ng/ form as a sequence of [n] and [g] ([n-g]), which leads to pronunciation errors.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the optimization strategies, describe constraints, and analyze the role of reading corners in encouraging reading literacy in grade V students of Muhammadiyah Robbani Elementary School. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach involving 20 Grade V Al Farabi students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using reduction, display, and verification. Reading literacy was assessed through six indicators: frequency, duration, engagement in discussions, material variety, interest and motivation, and participation. Reading corner aspects were examined based on eight characteristics: design, book collection, location, literacy activities, teacher support, parental involvement, comfort, and accessibility. Findings revealed strategies to optimize reading corners, such as parental involvement in creating and donating books. Constraints included limited book collections and differences in students’ abilities and interests, making it difficult for teachers to facilitate discussions. Overall, reading corners play an essential role in promoting reading literacy by providing convenient classroom access and fostering engagement. The study presents several key implications: (1) reading corners represent a cost-effective and scalable approach to promoting reading literacy; (2) educators are encouraged to design reading corners that are both visually engaging and inclusive in terms of content and learning preferences; (3) future initiatives should focus on enriching book collections and incorporating interactive, literacy-based activities; (4) policymakers should provide sustained support to schools by ensuring access to adequate and culturally relevant reading materials; and (5) the development of early reading literacy skills should be prioritized as a foundation for long-term academic success.

Abstract

This paper investigates a case study on short term forecasting for East Kalimantan, with emphasis on special days, such as public holidays. A time series of load demand electricity recorded at hourly intervals contains more than one seasonal pattern. There is a great attraction in using a modelling time series method that is able to capture triple seasonalities. The Triple SARIMA model has been adapted for this purpose and competitive for modelling load. Using the least squares method to estimate the coefficients in a triple SARIMA model, followed by model building, model assumptions and comparing model criteria, we propose and demonstration the triple Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average model with AIC 290631.9 and SBC 290674.2 as the best model for this study. The Triple seasonal ARIMA is one of the alternative strategy to propose accurate forecasts of electricity load Kalimantan data for planning, operation maintenance and market related activities.
