Abstract

Problem-solving ability is one of the abilities that support the achievement of the Profil Pelajar Pancasila. In reality, problem-solving skills are still low and need to be improved. Based on the literature study, student worksheet learning tools using the inquiry model can train problem-solving skills. The research objective is expected to produce an effective student worksheet to improve problem-solving skills on the material of factors that affect the reaction rate. The student worksheet was developed following the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) stages, up to the develop and pilot implementation stage. The pilot implementation target was 28 students of class XI-3 SMA Negeri 7 Surabaya. Student worksheets in this study were developed referring to the indicators of problem-solving ability, namely recognising the problem, describing the problem, planning a solution, executing the plan, and evaluating the solution. The effectiveness of the student worksheets was determined based on the results of the problem-solving ability test. The effectiveness test design used was a one-group pretest-posttest Design. Pretest and posttest data were analyzed using a normality test and a paired t-test. The student worksheet developed was declared effective if there was an increase in students' problem-solving ability test scores between before and after the trial.  The problem-solving ability test results were tested with the Shapiro-Wilk test. The prerequisite test results showed normal distribution because the p-value> 0.05. Followed by hypothesis testing using a paired t-test (one-tail).  Data analysis using a paired t-test (one-tailed) resulted in a p-value of 0.000 <0.005, so there was a significant increase in the problem-solving score. Thus, student worksheets developed using the inquiry model are declared effective for improving students' problem-solving skills in the material of factors that affect the reaction rate.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the village government in empowering purun artisan businesses in Mekar Jaya Village, Wampu District, Lalat Regency. The method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The research informants include village heads, community empowerment officers, and purun artisans. The study results show that the village government's role in empowering purun artisans in Mekar Jaya Village is very strategic, including the role of regulator, dynamizer, facilitator, and catalyst. The village government runs various programs such as skills training, marketing facilitation, network development, and supervision and evaluation of empowerment programs, which positively impact the capacity, productivity, and welfare of artisans. However, empowerment efforts still face challenges such as limited access to capital, low quality of human resources, limited marketing, inadequate infrastructure, fierce market competition, and lack of private sector support. Therefore, an integrated and collaborative sustainable strategy is needed to increase program effectiveness, expand access to technology and markets, and strengthen partnerships with various parties to support village economic growth and community welfare.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the effect of stock return, firm’s age, and firm’s value on leverage on the firms listed in the IDX30. The samples were taken by purposive sampling from IDX30, there were 15 samples. The study conducted found that there was no significant effect of stock return on leverage. There was a negative and significant effect of firm’s age on leverage. And there was a positive and significant relationship of firm’s value on leverage. This study also found that pecking order theory applies to the relationship between firm’s age on leverage. Signaling theory applies to the relationship of firm’s value on leverage but does not apply to the relationship between the stock return on leverage.

Abstract

In the rapidly evolving digital era, multimodal texts—integrating visual, auditory, and textual elements—have become increasingly essential in English language instruction. However, limited research exists on how students perceive the pedagogical value of these texts in secondary education, especially within the Indonesian context. This study aims to explore students’ perceptions of the benefits of multimodal texts as used by English teachers at SMA Uswatun Hasanah Padang Panjang during the 2024/2025 academic year. Employing a quantitative approach with a descriptive design, data were collected from 28 eleventh-grade students selected through total sampling. A closed-ended questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale was administered, and data were analyzed based on Djemari’s perception classification (as cited in Fitri, 2016). Findings revealed that the majority of students held favorable views: 46.4% had a positive perception, 42.9% had a strongly positive perception, and only 10.7% had a negative perception. Notably, students perceived multimodal texts positively in the cognitive and conative components and strongly positive in the affective domain. These results highlight the importance of integrating multimodal strategies to enhance student engagement and comprehension in English learning. The study contributes to current ELT practices by underscoring the pedagogical relevance of multimodal texts in fostering meaningful and emotionally engaging learning experiences.

Abstract

Abstract

A study has been conducted on the development of Student Worksheets (LKM) based on Connected Learning Cycle (CLC) to improve Science Process Skills and Science Literacy. This study is included in the development research using the ADDIE model which is limited to the development stage. Validation is measured using a validation sheet assessed by five expert validators in the field of chemistry and chemistry education. It is said to be valid if it gets a very good mode. The data shows that the LKM developed received a very good assessment so that it can be said to be valid or worthy and can be continued to the trial stage for students. This study is useful as an effort to improve students' abilities in understanding science process skills and science literacy skills.
