Abstract

This study critically inquires the role of religious figures within the framework of instilling the concept of religious moderation in Indonesia. The main reason for this study is that social facts in Indonesia today, indicate that there are certain people who interpret religion in extreme ways. This is the background behind the issuance of Presidential Regulation Number 18 of 2020 which places religious moderation as a fundamental social capital for nation building. In line with that, this paper maps out the strategies run by religious leaders in carrying out their roles in grounding the concept of religious moderation. This article is based on socio-legal research. The data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The result of this study shows that religious leaders play an important role in instilling religious moderation by acting as inspirations in inter-religious interactions, motivators in understanding religious moderation, role models in moderation behavior, initiators of moderate religious perspectives, promoters of internal and external dialogue, mediators, catalysts, in carrying out Islam as rahmatan li al-alamin, and is at the forefront (spearhead) in socializing the concept of religious moderation.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of psychological, social, and demographic aspects on Indonesian individual stock investors' decisions. With the help of Indonesian Stock Exchange Representative Offices in all provinces where there are representatives, this research is based on survey data and involves sending questionnaire links via WhatsApp, telegrams, and emails to participants. Following President Joko Widodo's announcement that social restrictions imposed during the previous pandemic had been lifted, the spread began after an initial one-week period in the first week of 2023. Thus, 108 questionnaire responses were collected for the survey. The findings demonstrated that individual stock investors' behavior was unaffected by gender, age, or marital status. Work, education, and experience have a positive and considerable influence on individual investors' investment behavior; however, the removal of social restraints has a negative impact on this behavior. According to the study's findings, education degree is the main variable that significantly affects stock investors' behavior.

Abstract

This study examines long-term GNSS-derived velocities along southern Java during 2011–2020 to characterize regional crustal deformation. Data from six InaCORS stations operated by BIG were processed using GAMIT/GLOBK to produce time series and estimate horizontal and vertical velocities. Horizontal velocities range from 21.35 mm/yr to 27.54 mm/yr toward the southeast, reflecting strong Eurasian Plate influence. The time series indicates gradual, continuous displacement without significant co-seismic offsets, despite several Mw ~6 earthquakes in the region. Vertical velocities show both uplift and subsidence, ranging from −13.84 mm/yr to 12.61 mm/yr, likely resulting from combined tectonic and non-tectonic processes. Because vertical GNSS measurements generally have higher uncertainty, these results must be interpreted cautiously. Although station motions appear stable, this does not indicate low seismic hazard. Instead, it may suggest ongoing strain accumulation within a seismic gap that could generate a future major earthquake. Overall, these findings enhance understanding of southern Java’s subduction dynamics and support improved earthquake hazard assessment and disaster preparedness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of principal communication on teachers’ tolerance behavior and work discipline at Bernas Public Elementary School. The background of the study is based on preliminary observations indicating several issues, such as teachers’ tardiness, insufficient lesson preparation, and limited ability to accommodate student diversity. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of all 32 teachers at Bernas Public Elementary School, and total sampling was applied. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation, while data analysis included a normality test and a paired sample t-test. The results revealed that principal communication had a significant effect on teachers’ tolerance behavior and work discipline, with a significance value of 0.000. The mean score of teachers’ tolerance behavior was 80.07, while the mean score of work discipline was 84.68. The novelty of this study lies in emphasizing the strategic role of principal communication in simultaneously fostering tolerance and discipline among teachers. The practical implications indicate that effective, open, and continuous communication from school principals can create a conducive working environment and enhance teacher professionalism. This study contributes to the development of elementary school management, particularly in strengthening leadership communication practices in educational settings.

Abstract

The fast-food SME partnership sector faces increasingly intense competition alongside rapid digital transformation. Business partners demand transparent communication, consistent operational support, and strong brand value to sustain profitability and long-term collaboration. Sukaku Fried Chicken experienced fluctuations in partner turnover, indicating that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), social media marketing, and perceived value may not yet be optimally translated into satisfaction and loyalty. Strengthening strategic alignment among these variables is therefore essential to maintain sustainable partner relationships. This study aims to analyze the influence of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), social media marketing, and perceived value on customer loyalty, with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable in the SME fast-food partnership context. This research employed a quantitative survey design involving 163 Sukaku Fried Chicken business partners selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The findings reveal that CSR directly influences customer loyalty but does not significantly affect customer satisfaction. Social media marketing and perceived value significantly influence customer satisfaction, and customer satisfaction significantly influences loyalty. Furthermore, customer satisfaction fully mediates the effects of social media marketing and perceived value on loyalty, but does not mediate the relationship between CSR and loyalty. Customer satisfaction plays a central mediating role in building loyalty within SME partnerships. Managerially, the company should prioritize satisfaction-driven strategies by strengthening interactive digital engagement, enhancing perceived partner benefits, and aligning CSR initiatives with tangible partner impacts to ensure sustainable business loyalty.

Abstract

This article analyzes maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah as a basis for reforming Islamic family law through a comparative study of Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam. The study begins with three main questions: how the principles of ḥifẓ al-dīn, al-nafs, al-‘aql, al-nasl, and al-māl serve as foundations for family law reform; the extent to which these principles are implemented in legislative policies and judicial practices; and how the differing legal-political frameworks of the two countries influence the effectiveness of maqāṣid application. This research employs a normative-comparative legal method with statutory, conceptual, and policy-analysis approaches. The findings show that Indonesia adopts an adaptive reform model through the integration of Islamic law into the national legal system, whereas Brunei implements a more normative and centralized model of sharī‘ah codification. The novelty of this study lies in utilizing maqāṣid as an evaluative instrument for family law politics, rather than merely as an ethical doctrine. The article concludes that maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah can serve as an effective methodological tool for formulating family laws that are responsive and oriented toward the protection of fundamental rights.

Abstract

Objectives: This study aims to analyze the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), social media, and perceived value on customer loyalty, with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable in fast-food MSMEs, namely Sukaku Fried Chicken. Methodology: This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method with purposive sampling. Data were collected from 163 respondents and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Finding: The results show that CSR, social media, and perceived value have a significant positive effect on customer loyalty. CSR has no significant effect on customer satisfaction, while social media and perceived value significantly increase customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction significantly increases customer loyalty and mediates the effect of social media and perceived value on customer loyalty. However, customer satisfaction does not mediate the effect of CSR on customer loyalty. Conclusion: Based on Expectancy Confirmation Theory (ECT), perceived value that consistently meets customer expectations will enhance satisfaction as the primary determinant of loyalty, wherein the influence of social media and perceived value on loyalty occurs through the mediation of customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The aim of research was to form students’ ecological citizenship by using a nature-based learning model. Some problems of natural damage such as forest fires, landslides, and floods must be everyone’s concern and responsibility. Therefore, schools needed to prepare a generation who had a responsibility towards nature. The method applied in the research was a descriptive method, while data collection technique was done by means of literature study. Data analysis techniques were in-depth reading to find more accurate data. They were compiled using logical arguments based on the results of analysis. The results of research indicate that forming ecological citizenship in a school environment can be done with environmental knowledge, environmental skills, and environmental ethics. These three aspects can be obtained using a learning model that is in accordance with the basic competencies to be achieved. The learning model that brings students closer to nature is a nature-based learning model outside the classroom that is also adjusted to the basic competencies contained in the Pancasila and Citizenship Education subject. The three aspects of ecological citizenship formation in these schools can be implemented properly if they are socialized to teachers and students. The purpose of this socialization is that teachers can integrate environmental problems into lessons. In contrast, socialization to students is carried out in the hope that an attitude of loving the environment is formed.
