ABSTRACT The design of this study was cross sectional with simple random sampling technique and the number of samples was 42 students. The instrument for the perception variable was questionnaire and the SDL variable using the Self Directed Learning Readiness Scale (SDLR). The study was conducted 21-23 June 2021 with data analysis of rank spearman correlation. The results of the study were most of the students of the nursing profession had a good perception 61.9% (26 respondents) and had moderate SDL readiness 50% (21 respondents). Based on the statistical test of the Spearman rank correlation between the perception variable and the SDL variable, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 with a correlation coefficient of 0.572. It is expected that the application of varied learning methods in the academic and clinical environment can create a comfortable atmosphere and good interactions, so it can increase the effectiveness of the learning process and SDL readiness. ABSTRAK Desain penelitian ini menggunakan cross sectional dengan teknik sampling simple random dan jumlah sampel 42 mahasiswa. Instrumen untuk variabel persepsi adalah kuesioner dan variabel SDL menggunakan Self Directed Learning Readiness Scale (SDLR). Penelitian dilakukan 21-23 Juni 2021 dengan analisis data korelasi rank spearman. Hasil penelitian sebagian besar mahasiswa profesi keperawatan memiliki persepsi yang baik yaitu 61,9 % (26 responden) dan memiliki kesiapan SDL yang sedang yaitu 50% (21 responden). Berdasarkan uji statistik korelasi rank spearman antara variabel persepsi dengan variabel SDL, diketahui nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 yaitu < 0,05 dengan correlation coefficient sebesar 0,572. Diharapkan adanya penerapan metode pembelajaran yang bervariasi di lingkungan akademik dan lingkungan klinik mampu menciptakan suasana pembelajaran nyaman dengan interaksi yang baik, sehingga meningkatkan keefektifan proses pembelajaran dan kesiapan SDL.
