Hermeneutics has changed the paradigm of the study of contemporary Islamic thought towards the direction of Islamic science, placing modern Islamic issues into the discourse of theodiplomacy. Many modernist scholars have initiated an overhaul of the concept of "soar skyward" Islam, offering through hermeneutics a "down-to-earth" idea of Islam. Hermeneutics has given birth to various controversies through the use of the methods "to explain," "to interpret," and "to say," ignoring the approaches of al-shadaf (charismatic study), al-lubab (essence study), tahqiq (ensuring the exploration of the position of words), and tadqiq (comparing to the opinions of competent scholars). This study was conducted using qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The results showed that hermeneutics has initiated the occurrence of rereading, reinterpretation, rethinking, renewing, and rebuilding to strive for adjustments toward the new Islamic order. Therefore, the existence of Hermeneutics does not make calculations of right and wrong, strong and weak, black and white, and Islam-West in every interpretation of the Qur'an. It's just that the interpretation of modernity issues carried out by the approach of Islamization of science and applied Islamology giving birth to various worldview controversies such as Progressive Islam, pluralist Islam, humanist Islam, and reverse Islam.

The classification of modernist versus traditionalist, is no longer appropriate to describe the spectrum of contemporary Islamic intellectualism. This article analyzes how the concept of modernism is defined and elaborated by Indonesian Islamic scholars. It also , in particular, examines the dynamics of Islamic modernism growth that have shaped the distinctive characteristics of Indonesian Islam compared to those in other Southeast Asian countries. This article come from library research using a qualitative approach for data collection and analysis. By an emphasis on document and text analysis, in particular, this article shows that modernism in the history of Islamic intellectualism in Indonesia could be imaged as axis of dialectical discourse in the formation of Indonesian Islamic characteristics; moderate and flowering Islam. This article, in particular, argues that the emergence of modernism in Islam plays a role in confirming the existence of Indonesian Islam as an integral, not peripheral, part of the Islamic world civilization.

This study discusses the relevance of Islamic political principles proposed by Al-Mawardi in Al-Ahkam As-Sulthaniyyah for the context of the current Indonesian government and financial management. The method used in this study is a literature review with a heuristic analysis approach. The findings of this study indicate that al-Mawardi's thoughts in al-Ahkam al-Sulthaniyyah provide the philosophical foundations include the concepts of al-'Adl (justice), Amanah (moral responsibility), and maslahah (public welfare). Al-Mawardi's principles are in line with the Indonesian government system that prioritizes morality, people's welfare, and wise state governance. President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita vision, reflected in economic development, strengthening human resources, international cooperation, and industrial and infrastructure development, reflects Islamic moral values in realizing "Golden Indonesia 2045”.

The realization of a harmonious community life is the goal of every country, including Indonesia. But increasing ethnic identity politics often breaks the harmony. So that the harmonious life of a pluralistic society has a high risk of social conflict. This field research aims to find out the forms of social integration and the factors that influence social integration in Pesawaran District, Lampung Province. Research data obtained by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Then the data is analyzed descriptively-qualitatively with a sociological-political approach. The results showed that social integration in the community of Pesawaran Regency was normative - functional. Social integration occurs in the cultural dimension and socio-economic dimension. The factors that influence the formation of social integration include tolerance of society, equality of education and economics, geographical location of Pesawaran district, as well as the local wisdom of Lampung's indigenous people. This study concluded that social integration can be formed naturally through the values of wisdom owned by the community. Therefore, it is urgent to develop indigenous wisdom values that are owned by the community.

Fenomena fundamentalisme dalam Islam cukup mendapat perhatian dari khalayak. Fundamentalisme merupakan paham dan gerakan dalam agama yang berupaya kembali kepada apa yang diyakini sebagai dasar-dasar atau asas-asas agama. Penggunaan istilah fundamentalisme dalam konteks Islam hingga saat ini masih menyisakan persoalan, karena bukan hanya berasal dari tradisi non muslim, fundamentalisme juga dimaknai sebagai paham atau gerakan yang mengandung makna minor.

Salah satu hal mendasar dan prinsip dalam kehidupan manusia adalah agama. Oleh karena itu, tak mengherankan jika interaksi antar pemeluk agama sejauh ini sering diwarnai ketegangan. Dalam hal ini umat beragama sering dihinggapi anggapan miring terhadap eksistensi agama lain. Di bawah bayang-bayang klaim kebenaran (truth claim) yang menyertai pemahaman beragama, anggapan miring tersebut acapkali didemonstrasikan dengan pada sikap-sikap yang kurang manusiawi (destruktif). Dalam kasus Islam, sebenarnya al-Qur’an telah memberikan penjelasan yang cukup maksimal mengenai hubungan antar agama ini. Demikian juga Nabi Muhammad saw telah mencontohkan kepada umat dalam menyikapi perbedaan agama ini. Bahkan pengakuan terhadap eksistensi agama lain tersebut menjadi salah satu hal yang terkait dengan keimanan umat Islam.

Bekam merupakan salah satu metode pengobatan yang belakangan mulai digemari masyarakat. Bahkan bagi ummat Islam, metode pengobatan ini tidak hanya dianggap efektif, tetapi juga memiliki nilai teologis. Banyak hadits yang memberitakan tentang bekam ini, sehingga kebenaran tentang bekam tidak diraguan lagi. Namun demikian, dari sekian banyak hadits yang meriwayatkan tentang bekam ini, ditemukan dualisme atau kontradiksi antara satu hadits dengan lainnya, karena berbicara pada satu tema dan memiliki kualitas sanad yang sama-sama baik. Lebih lanjut makalah ini mencoba memahami kontradiksi ini dengan asbāb al-wurūd hadith dan nāsikh wa mansūkh terhadap hadis-hadis yang nampak kontradiktif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan adanya kebolehan bekam bagi orang yang berpuasa dengan kata lain bekam tidak membatalkan puasa seseorang. Selain itu, tidak ada larangan bagi seseorang untuk berprofesi sebagai praktisi bekam dan mengambil keuntungan darinya. AbstractCupping is one method of treatment that recently began popular among the public. Even for Muslims, this treatment method is not only considered to be effective, but also has a theological value. Many hadiths preach about this cupping, so that it’s truth is not doubt again. However, many of hadith narrated about this cupping, discovered dualism or contradiction between one and another hadith, because talking on the same theme and have quality sanad equally well. Furthermore, this paper attempts to understand this contradiction by asbāb wurud al-hadith and nāsikh wa mansukh on the traditions that seem contradictory. The study results the permissibility of cupping for a fasting person, in other words not invalidate the fast bruise someone. In addition, there is no prohibition for a person to work as cupping practitioners and take advantage of it. Kata kunci : dualisme, hadits, bekam.

AbstractAs a holy book, al-Qur'an has function as a law and a way of life for Muslims. In this context, Muslims in modern times have problem in understanding the whole contents of the Qur’an. Therefore, exegetes formulate a method of understanding the Qur'an in line with certain themes or so-called the Maudlu'i interpretation method. This article aims to describe the Maudlu'i interpretation, the problems of the Maudlu'i interpretation, and examples of the Maudlu'i interpretation. This literature review use descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study indicate that the interpretation of Maudlu'i is a method of interpretation that seeks to explain the contents of the Qur'an based on a particular theme. There are three focuses of Maudlu'i interpretation that developed in the 20th century, namely the Maudlu'i method of interpretation which focuses on terminology, the Maudlu'i method of interpretation which focuses on themes or topics in the Qur’an, and the Maudlu'i method of interpretation which focuses on one particular chapter in the Qur’an. Regardless of the dynamics of strengths and weaknesses, Maudlu'i interpretation is more suitable with the living conditions of modern-day Muslims. This study reveal that the Maudlu'i method of interpretation plays an important role in understanding the content of the Qur'an. AbstrakSebagai kitab suci, al-Qur’an berfungsi sebagai undang-undang dan pedoman hidup umat Islam. Dalam konteks ini, umat Islam pada zaman modern seringkali kesulitan dalam memahami isi al-Qur’an secara keseluruhan. Oleh karena itu, para ahli tafsir kemudian merumuskan sebuah metode memahami al-Qur’an sesuai dengan tema-tema tertentu atau yang disebut sebagai metode tafsir Maudlu’i. Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan tentang Tafsir Maudlu’i, problematika tafsir Maudlu’i, dan contoh tafsir maudlu’i. Kajian pustaka ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa tafsir Maudlu’i merupakan metode tafsir yang berusaha menjelaskan isi kandungan al-Qur’an berdasarkan tema tertentu. Metode tafsir yang berkembang pada abad 20 tersebut dibagi menjadi 3 kategori, yaitu tafsir maudlu’i yang fokus pada terminologi, tafir maudlu’i yang fokus pada tema atau topik dalam al-Qur’an, dan tafsir maudlu’i yang fokus pada satu surat tertentu dalam al-Qur’an. Terlepas dari dinamika kelebihan dan kekurangannya, tafsir Maudlu’i lebih sesuai dengan kondisi kehidupan umat Islam zaman modern ini. Hasil kajian menyimpulkan bahwa metode tafsir Mau’dlu’i memiliki peran penting dalam memahami isi kandungan al-Qur’an. Kata Kunci: Metode Mauḍu’ī, Tafsir dan Aplikatif.

This study aims to examine the effect of profitability, liquidity, leverage, capital structure, and firm size on firm value in the energy sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2023 period. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data in the form of company financial reports. The sampling method used was purposive sampling with a total of 224 observations from 56 companies over four years. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression. The results show that leverage, capital structure, and firm size have a significant effect on firm value. Leverage has a negative effect, while capital structure has a positive effect, and firm size has a negative effect on firm value. Meanwhile, profitability and liquidity do not have a significant effect on firm value. These findings imply that energy sector companies need to pay attention to managing their capital structure and debt levels to avoid reducing the company's value in the eyes of investors. Furthermore, large company size does not always reflect high market value if it is not balanced with efficiency and good growth prospects.
