Abstract

The prevalence of self-medication among the population of Malang City reached 64.35% in 2022. This figure indicates a considerable potential risk, particularly related to inappropriate medication practices. Analgesics are among the most used drugs for pain relief through self-medication. Improper use of analgesics may lead to adverse effects, including gastrointestinal disturbances, hypersensitivity reactions, and damage to the kidneys and liver. This study aims to examine self-medication behavior involving analgesics and to analyze the relationship between respondents’ sociodemographic factors and such behavior. The research employed quantitative analytic observational design with a cross-sectional approach and survey method. Sampling was conducted using a non-probability sampling technique, involving 100 respondents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analysis was performed using non-parametric statistical tests, namely the Chi-Square test for gender, occupation, and residence variables, and the Spearman Rank test for age, income, and education level. The results showed that the self-medication behavior with analgesics among the people of Malang City was categorized as “moderate,” with a prevalence of 72%. Statistical analysis revealed significant associations between age, income, education level, and residential area with analgesic self-medication practices. Abstract

Some waste has the potential to cause pollution, but there is waste that is useful as a mortar mixture, namely sugar cane bagasse ash (AAT). This study aims to determine the chemical composition of SBA and its suitability as a material for reducing cement content in the mortar formation process. Laboratory tests, including chemical composition tests, XRD, and SEM, were conducted to determine the morphological structure of SBA and mortar. Additionally, physical tests were conducted on the mortar-forming materials to verify whether they met the standards. Furthermore, mortar samples with SBA content of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25% SBA content, with dimensions of 5x5x5 cm³, were prepared for compressive strength testing at 7, 14, and 28 days, and with a diameter of 7.5 cm and length of 15 cm for splitting tensile strength and water absorption testing at 28 days. Tensile strength and water absorption tests were conducted at 28 days. The compressive strength test results showed that mortar with 5% SBA content had the highest compressive strength and split tensile strength at 28 days, specifically 22.26 MPa and 4.48 MPa, representing increases of 29.02% and 13.71% from mortar with 0% SBA. Meanwhile, the results of the water absorption test showed that the 5% SBA mortar had the lowest water absorption rate, which was 8.59%.

Abstract

Abstract

The acceleration of digital transformation has fundamentally reshaped the paradigm of human competence, shifting from a focus on technical proficiency to adaptive and continuously evolving capabilities. This study aims to explore how adaptive human resource management (HRM) practices shape and strengthen human competence amid technological disruption. A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed, involving 15 key informants—including HR division heads, managers, employees, and HR consultants—from three organizational sectors: public administration, higher education, and financial services. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, and analyzed using thematic analysis supported by NVivo 14 software. The findings reveal four core dimensions of adaptive competence in the digital era: digital literacy, cognitive flexibility, collaborative intelligence, and transformative mindset. These dimensions collectively form the Adaptive Human Competence Framework (AHCF), which illustrates the dynamic interplay among individuals, organizations, and technology. The study further highlights that adaptive HR practices—such as learning ecosystems, digital mentoring, and agile performance management—serve as strategic catalysts for fostering trust-based and innovation-driven organizational cultures. Theoretically, this study extends the concept of competence-based HRM by integrating dynamic capabilities and adaptive learning theory. Practically, the findings emphasize the importance of developing collaborative, flexible, and human-centered digital learning ecosystems to ensure sustainable organizational performance in the digital transformation era.

Abstract

Fusarium species are destructive plant pathogens responsible for severe crop losses thereby posing a critical threat to global food security. Sustainable strategies to control Fusarium-induced diseases are urgently needed due to limitations of synthetic fungicides. This study investigated the interaction of phytochemicals from potato (Solanum tuberosum), cassava (Manihot esculenta), and purple yam (Dioscorea alata) with three Fusarium proteins: LaeA, Pep2, and VeA. Protein structures were modeled and validated using stereochemical analyses, followed by molecular docking with representative metabolites, including pyrogallol, cyclogallipharaol, scopoletin, linamarin, cyanidin-3-glucoside, and peonidin-3-glucoside. Docking results showed that potato metabolites exhibited moderate binding activity, cassava metabolites displayed broader inhibitory potential, and purple yam anthocyanins demonstrated the strongest affinities (–6.7 to –7.4 kcal/mol) through multiple hydrogen bonds, hydrophobic contacts, and electrostatic interactions. Among the targets, Pep2 showed consistently stable interactions, while LaeA and VeA exhibited greater flexibility but remained responsive to anthocyanins. These findings highlight the potential of edible crop-derived phytochemicals, particularly anthocyanins and scopoletin, as eco-friendly antifungal agents. The structural basis provided here supports future experimental validation and the development of sustainable crop protection strategies.
