Abstract

Pembelajaran kooperatif merupakan metode belajar yang dilaksanakan dengan bekerja sama antar siswa, sehingga nantinya siswa tidak semata mencapai kesuksesan secara individual atau saling mengalahkan antar siswa. Namun mereka jugabisa membantu teman belajarnya yang berkemampuandi bawah standar minimum. Dengan demikian tumbuhlah jiwa sosial dalam diri siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji model pembelajaran koperatiflearning dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa secara konseptual dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kepustakaan dimana segala sumber baik primer maupun sekunder semuanya berasal dari literatur-literatur baik yang bersumber dari buku maupun jurnal. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa model pembelajaran cooperativelearning cocok untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran PAI, karena siswa ditekankan untuk mengkaitkan antar materi sehingga siswa dapat lebih cepat memahami materi dengan baik. Ketika proses pembelajaran dilaksanakan, siswa akan lebih aktif dan antusias dalam mengikutinya. Model pembelajaran ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam aspek memahami materi, namun juga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi dan keterampilan dalam memecahkan masalah, analisis kritis dan keterampilan lain yang dibutuhkan siswa. Model ini didesain agar siswa tidak mudah jenuh dalam belajar, tertekan atau stress karena akan membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi bervariasi. Namun dalam penerapan model pembelajaran ini waktu yang dibutuhkan cukup lama yang menyebabkan tidak tercapainya target kurikulum, membutuhkan keterampilan khusus yang dimiliki guru dalam memahami strategi belajar kooperatif, serta membutuhkan sifat Kerja sama yang tumbuh dalam diri siswa.

Abstract

Peternak Di Desa Aras Kabu, menghadapi kendala memperoleh pakan ternak karena harga yang sangat tinggi, sementara  sumber daya lokal seperti limbah sagu belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal sebagai pakan alternatif. Tujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan masyarakat dalam mengolah limbah sagu menjadi pakan ternak alternatif, serta menganalisis protein dari formula pakan yang dihasilkan. Kegiatan berfokus pada pendekatan edukatif serta mengajarkan ketrampilan mengolah limbah menjadi pakan ternak. Metode pelatihan diberikan kepada 15 peternak itik di Desa Aras Kabu. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan uji statistik t-berpasangan (dependent t-test). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan peserta sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan (p = 0,000), serta perbedaan yang signifikan pada aspek sikap (p = 0,048). Namun, tidak ditemukan perbedaan signifikan pada aspek tindakan (p = 0,055). Uji laboratorium terhadap tiga formula menunjukkan bahwa Formula II (campuran dedak, sagu, dan limbah ikan) memiliki kadar protein sebesar 14,5%, lebih tinggi dibandingkan Formula I (dedak dan sagu) sebesar 4,88%, dan mendekati kadar protein pakan komersial (Formula III) sebesar 18,1%. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa formula hasil olahan lokal memiliki potensi alternatif ekonomis dan bergizi untuk pakan ternak. Pendekatan berbasis edukasi dan pelatihan membantu peternak menghadapi kesulitan pakan dan menekan biaya produksi. Kegiatan ini perlu dukungan berkelanjutan dari pemerintah desa dan lembaga kemasyarakat untuk mengembangkan program pelatihan lanjutan, penyediaan alat produksi sederhana, serta pembentukan kelompok usaha bersama guna memperkuat ketahanan pakan ternak berbasis lokal.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model on the cognitive abilities of fifth-grade students in learning the topic “My Region, My Pride” at MIS Maura El-Mumtaz, Binjai City. The research seeks to determine whether CTL, which connects learning material to real-life experiences, enhances students’ understanding compared to conventional methods. A quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group was employed. The sample consisted of 40 students divided into an experimental group (taught using CTL) and a control group (taught without CTL). Data were collected through pretests and posttests, and statistical analysis, including N-Gain scores, was used to measure learning improvement. The findings revealed a significant difference in posttest scores between the experimental and control groups (*p* < 0.05), with the CTL group achieving a higher average score (89.95) compared to the control group (75.65). The N-Gain analysis further confirmed greater improvement in the experimental class (82.70) than in the control class (57.16). This study contributes to existing literature by empirically validating the effectiveness of CTL in enhancing cognitive abilities in social studies, particularly in local wisdom-based learning an area that has received limited attention in prior research. The results suggest that educators should consider adopting CTL strategies to make learning more meaningful and engaging, particularly in subjects requiring contextual understanding, such as social studies. This research provides evidence supporting CTL as an effective pedagogical approach, offering insights for curriculum developers and teachers aiming to improve student learning outcomes through experiential and context-based instruction.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of Diorama media on fifth-grade students’ critical thinking skills in social studies at MIS Asmaul Husna. A quantitative experimental design was employed, involving 38 fifth-grade students divided equally into control and experimental groups (19 students each). Data were collected through pretest-posttest assessments to measure critical thinking skills before and after Diorama media implementation in the experimental group. Hypothesis testing revealed a statistically significant effect (sig. 2-tailed = 0.000 < 0.05), confirming that Diorama media enhances critical thinking skills. The experimental group showed marked improvement compared to the control group, leading to the acceptance of Ha (alternative hypothesis) and rejection of Ho (null hypothesis). This study pioneers the application of Diorama media in social studies education at the elementary level, demonstrating its efficacy as an innovative pedagogical tool for fostering higher-order thinking skills. Educators can adopt Diorama media to create engaging, tactile learning experiences that promote active student participation and critical analysis in social studies curricula. The findings provide empirical evidence supporting the integration of visual-spatial learning tools in elementary education, offering a replicable model for enhancing critical thinking through multisensory instruction.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of an Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) module for the topic “My Indonesia is Rich” in enhancing critical thinking skills among fifth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Employing Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), the module underwent rigorous validation by material, media, and language experts, achieving an average score of 4.00 (very good category). Effectiveness was tested via pretest-posttest assessments involving 20 students. The module significantly improved critical thinking, with average scores rising from 52.50 (pretest) to 83.25 (posttest) and an N-Gain of 0.65 (medium–high category). Student feedback yielded an average score of 68.5/80 (very good), confirming the module’s usability and appeal. This study pioneers an IBL-based module tailored to Madrasah Ibtidaiyah’s social studies curriculum, bridging pedagogical innovation with cultural relevance in Indonesian elementary education. The validated module offers teachers a ready-to-use, contextual tool to foster active, meaningful learning aligned with madrasa students’ needs. The research provides an evidence-based model for developing IBL materials that enhance critical thinking while preserving local cultural context, applicable to similar educational settings.

Abstract

This study aims to develop illustrated thematic box media for Social Studies, specifically focusing on the material about the History of the Entry of Islam from the perspective of Surah Al-Hasyr, Verse 18, at SMPN 1 Pagar Merbau. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The validation results from material, media, and language experts indicate that the media is suitable for use, with an average score exceeding 75%. The practicality test conducted by teachers yielded a result of 88%, indicating that the media is practical for use in the learning process. Meanwhile, the results of a limited trial with 35 students showed a feasibility level of 98.85%, accompanied by an increase in learning outcomes, with a standard gain value of 0.355, which falls into the moderate category. The results of the Independent Samples t-Test revealed a significant difference between the experimental and control classes (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05), with the average learning outcomes of students in the experimental class being 9.42 points higher. Therefore, the illustrated thematic box media has proven to be effective in enhancing students’ understanding, motivation, and involvement in interactive and contextual Social Studies learning, and is capable of integrating Islamic values through a thematic approach.

Abstract

This study aims to explore teachers’ perceptions of the development of Integrated Social Studies (IPS) Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on social and religious values in State Elementary School 152979 Pandan 1. The study is grounded in the importance of integrating character values into Social Studies learning to support the formation of the Pancasila Student Profile. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, supported by quantitative data from a four-point Likert-scale questionnaire, in-depth interviews, and a document review of the LKPD. The research subjects were 10 teachers involved in Social Studies instruction. The questionnaire instrument comprised four dimensions: the urgency and benefits of value-based LKPD, ease of development and implementation, availability of support, and impact on students’ attitudes, interests, and social interactions. The findings revealed that the “impact on students” dimension scored the highest (3.90), followed by “urgency and benefits” (3.85), “ease of development and implementation” (3.10), and “availability of support” (2.75). Teachers believe that value-based LKPD is effective in improving students’ learning motivation, social skills, and positive attitudes, although technical constraints and limited institutional support remain challenges. The study recommends continuous training, provision of relevant references, and strengthening teacher collaboration to ensure the sustainability of value-based LKPD implementation in elementary schools.

Abstract

Technological advances have had a major influence on the development of learning, one of which is by providing educational videos which are carried out at MIN 7 Medan City. The purpose of this article is to reveal how to implement educational videos in social studies learning with the following focus. First, how to plan educational video media in social studies learning at MIN 7 Medan City. Second, make the implementation and student learning outcomes of the use of educational videos. Third, what are the obstacles in implementing educational videos in social studies learning and the solutions to these obstacles. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with the method of collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. Then, to ensure the validity of the data is used through triangulation. The research results obtained as follows. First, in planning lessons using educational video media, it is the duty of the principal and teacher to plan learning in class according to the RPP and develop it. Second, in the implementation of the lesson, it has displayed videos obtained from Youtube in the form of videos of short duration ± 10 minutes when learning is in progress. Third, there are still obstacles felt by teachers and students related to learning such as managing time and teacher skills in designing videos. However, solutions are carried out by teachers such as intense discussions between teachers and students, sharing video selection, and learning innovations. So it can be concluded that the implementation of learning using educational videos is very helpful for teachers and students as a learning support tool in the ongoing learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan gambaran tentang kemampuan guru dalam mengintegrasikan media short card dan efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan minat belajar peserta diidk. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan informan kunci adalah guru IPS SD Nurul Islam Indonesia. Data diperoleh dari hasil observasi dan wawancara. Ketika data terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori versi Miles dkk yakni reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran. Data wawancara yang dianalisis menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa menilai media Short Card memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik dan menyenangkan dibandingkan metode konvensional sebelumnya. Peserta didik menyatakan kepuasan terhadap pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif dan menyenangkan, serta merasa lebih termotivasi untuk terlibat dalam pembelajaran. Keseluruhan, artikel ini memberikan kontribusi berharga untuk pemahaman praktis tentang penerapan media short card dalam pembelajaran IPS di SD Nurul Islam Indonesia.

Abstract

Inovasi pembelajaran ialah pembinaan pembelajaran yang diatur agar memotivasi buah pikiran yang terbaru dan merupakan hasil dari learning how to learn guna untuk melangsungkan sintaks dalam pembelajaran, sehingga menghasilkan perkembangan hasil belajar. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan agar mendeskripsikan inovasi pembelajaran yang berfokus pada mata pelajaran ilmu pendidikan sosial. Model penelitian yang dilakukan adalah kualitatif deskriptif ialah penelitian yang berbentuk pemaparan data dengan dinarasikan. Rujukan penelitian ini menggunakan studi pustaka yang dikaji dengan menggunakan google scholar, sehingga memperoleh kajian yang berasosiasi. Berkenaan dengan rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini yaitu: (1) apa pengertian inovasi IPS; (2) bagaimana tujuan dari inovasi IPS; (3) hal apa saja yang menjadi prinsip inovasi IPS; (4) bagaimana karakteristik inovasi IPS. Mengenai hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa adanya inovasi pada suatu pembelajaran berguna untuk terjadinya proses aktivitas pembelajaran yang berjalan lancar, kondusif, kreatif, hingga mampu memberikan motivasi belajar pada peserta didik. Selain itu, dapat menjangkau tujuan dari pembelajaran yang mampu memajukan kinerja peserta didik.
