Abstract

Infancy is a crucial golden period for determining the quality of a child's future growth and development. Infant massage has long been recognized for its numerous benefits for infant growth and development. Various studies have shown that infant massage can increase weight gain, improve sleep quality, strengthen the immune system, and aid digestion. Many parents still lack understanding of infant massage. Some assume that infant massage is only performed on sick babies and is performed by traditional healers or medical personnel skilled in infant massage. The purpose of this community service is to increase mothers' knowledge about infant massage through outreach. The target audience was 22 mothers with babies in Gampong Barat, Nisam District, North Aceh Regency. The implementation method used was lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. The results showed that the majority of mothers' knowledge was in the good category after the outreach. This was due to the mothers' enthusiasm in participating in the outreach. Outreach is an effective method for increasing knowledge. Mothers are expected to continue to improve their knowledge about infant massage by increasing their interest in seeking information, whether through reading books, the media, or other sources.

Abstract

Physiological adaptation of the musculoskeletal system is one of the changes that pregnant women often complain about, especially in the third trimester of pregnancy, namely back pain which has long-term impacts that increase the tendency of postpartum back pain and the risk of suffering from venous thrombosis. Several complementary therapies to reduce back pain by doing effleurage and endorphin massage. Back pain can occur at any time so that a companion who can perform massage is needed. This community service activity aims to provide training in effleurage and endorphin massage to companions of pregnant women to reduce back pain during pregnancy in the Working Area of the Syamtalira Bayu Community Health Center, North Aceh Regency. The target audience is 76 people, including 38 cadres as companions of pregnant women and 38 pregnant women in the third trimester who experience back pain during pregnancy in the Working Area of the Syamtalira Bayu Community Health Center, North Aceh Regency. The implementation of the activity began with a pre-test to explore the knowledge of the target audience, then provided education about efforts to treat back pain and trained companions of pregnant women, namely cadres, about effleurage and endorphin messages. Evaluations were conducted two weeks after the training, using a Google Form to assess back pain after efflurage and endorphin massage, and to evaluate the skills of the cadres through videos sent during efflurage and endorphin massage sessions on pregnant women. The efflurage and endorphin massage training improved the knowledge and skills of the pregnant women's companions and effectively reduced pain levels. It is hoped that future community service providers can continue the training in other areas with regular evaluations and integrate the efflurage and endorphin massage training program into maternal health services for broader and more sustainable benefits

Abstract

Background : Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) remains a major public health challenge in Indonesia, with most districts experiencing moderate to high endemicity. Although vector control and public education programs such as 3M Plus, G1R1J, and school initiatives continue to be implemented, dengue cases remain fluctuating, especially in urban areas. Persistent transmission is strongly associated with community behavior, low risk perception, and irregular preventive practices. Studies consistently show a knowledge–practice gap—high awareness does not always translate into action—highlighting the need to strengthen motivation, behavior change interventions, and community participation. Objective : To analyze how community behavior, health education, and community participation influence the effectiveness of dengue prevention in endemic areas; to summarize research findings from 2015–2025; and to identify gaps between knowledge and preventive practices to provide evidence-based recommendations for improving community-based dengue control strategies in Indonesia. Research Methods / Implementation Methods : A systematic narrative literature review was conducted using articles from PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, DOAJ, Garuda, and ResearchGate. Keywords included terms related to “Dengue,” “public health education,” and “community participation.” Studies published in English or Indonesian with quantitative, qualitative, mixed-method, or review designs were included. Of 132 articles identified, 15 met inclusion criteria. Each study was appraised using the JBI Critical Appraisal Tool. Data were synthesized thematically into three areas: community knowledge–attitudes–practices (KAP), educational effectiveness, and behavioral barriers, then compared with national and WHO reports. Results : Across the 15 included studies (2015–2025), community knowledge about dengue was generally high, but preventive practices remained inconsistent, confirming the knowledge–practice gap. School-based and community education programs improved awareness and behavior, especially when using interactive and participatory methods rather than lectures. Community participation initiatives such as One House One Jumantik (G1R1J) increased household involvement but frequently faced challenges related to limited supervision, low motivation, and poor sustainability. Successful programs demonstrated strong community empowerment, ongoing education, and collaboration between local leaders, schools, and health authorities. Conclusion / Lesson Learned : Effective dengue prevention requires behavioral change, continuous health education, and active community participation. Although public knowledge is high, preventive actions remain irregular. Strengthening motivation, sustaining cross-sector collaboration, and empowering communities are key to achieving long-term behavior change and sustainable dengue control in endemic regions.

Abstract

This study presents a literature review on the development of a Nahwu learning model using chart media in Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools. The main problem is the difficulty students face in understanding i’rab and Arabic grammar rules through traditional methods such as lectures and memorization. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of chart media as a visual tool that simplifies complex grammatical concepts, evaluate the challenges and opportunities in its implementation, and formulate theoretical and practical contributions to improve Nahwu learning. A systematic review approach was used to review national and international journal articles published over the last 5–15 years. The findings of this study indicate that chart media promotes better conceptual understanding, increases student engagement, and provides pedagogical innovations relevant to the pesantren context. This study concludes that the chart-based model has a significant impact.

Abstract

This article reconstructs the concept and practice of fulfillment of children's rights is a fundamental issue in social and educational development, encompassing not only legal and social aspects but also spiritual dimensions. From the perspective of Islamic Sharia, children are considered divine trusts endowed with inherent rights to life, growth, education, and protection from all forms of violence and injustice. However, the practical implementation of these rights within contemporary Islamic educational institutions still faces structural and cultural challenges. This study critically analyzes the reconstruction of children’s rights within Islamic law and their implementation in modern Islamic education. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, the study synthesizes findings from 16 academic articles published between 2015 and 2025 in databases such as SINTA, DOAJ, and Google Scholar. The results indicate that (1) Islamic principles of child protection are rooted in the objectives of Sharia (maq??id al-syar?‘ah), particularly ?if? al-nafs, ?if? al-‘aql, and ?if? al-nasl; (2) a significant gap persists between normative Islamic values and actual implementation in educational institutions; and (3) reconstructing child rights fulfillment requires integrating values of compassion (rahmah) and maq??id-based frameworks into curricula, teacher training, and institutional policies. This study underscores the urgency of developing a child-friendly, justice-oriented Islamic education system grounded in holistic protection of children’s rights.

Abstract

This study explores tahnik and aqiqah as expressions of fulfilling children's rights within the framework of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) and Islamic education. Both are classified as sunnah muakkadah practices that hold not only ritual significance but also deep spiritual, social, and pedagogical values. The aim is to analyze how these practices function as early educational media to instill monotheism, compassion, and moral responsibility from birth. This research employs a library-based approach with thematic analysis of classical and contemporary sources. Findings indicate that tahnik serves as the child’s first spiritual education, introducing faith and parental affection, while aqiqah embodies gratitude, social care, and character formation. The integration of fiqh and tarbiyah Islamiyah highlights that fulfilling children’s rights in Islam begins at birth through spiritually and educationally meaningful practices. The study underscores the importance of revitalizing the meaning of tahnik and aqiqah beyond tradition, as integral instruments for nurturing morality and spirituality in Muslim families.

Abstract

The most significant hurdle to Islamic religious education and character education learning at vocational school was pupils' low enthusiasm in learning, especially in participation and attentiveness. Traditional learning approaches might not suit all student styles. Thus, this study seeks to empirically evaluate the SAVI learning model (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) compared to standard learning approaches in enhancing student interest in learning. This quantitative study used a quasi-experimental posttest-only control group design. At Vocational School 1 Bandar Lampung, grade XI pupils were divided into two groups: the experimental class (provided the SAVI model therapy) and the control class (given the conventional method treatment). The instrument was a learning interest questionnaire. Analysis included precondition tests (normality and homogeneity) and t-tests. The study confirmed normality (Sig. > 0.200) and homogeneity (Sig. Levene's Test = 0.601). A 2-tailed hypothesis test significance value of 0.031 was obtained. The null hypothesis (H0) is rejected because this value is less than 0.05, showing a significant learning interest difference. The mean difference value of 3.4667 shows that SAVI-taught students had considerably higher learning interest than the control group. This interest boosts targeted deficits in pupils' desire to learn. This study suggests an innovative learning paradigm that boosts interest in Islamic religious education and character education. This study supports the holistic learning approach, which stresses combining physical, aural, visual, and intellectual aspects to engage students.
