Abstract

This study examines how Darussalam Islamic Boarding School Martapura manages institutional practices to address radicalism, extremism, and Islamophobia. Using a qualitative case study, data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis involving leaders, teachers, students, alumni, and community figures. The analysis reveals that the pesantren’s response is not limited to value transmission but is embedded in a systematic management pattern that regulates curriculum design, moral authority, students’ information ecology, and public communication. The study identifies a protective–participatory management model operating through four interconnected pillars: (1) a deliberately moderated ideological curriculum, (2) the kyai’s moral authority as a daily mechanism of value control, (3) institutional regulation of students’ digital and informational exposure, and (4) proactive public engagement to counter Islamophobic stigma. This model demonstrates that the pesantren’s resilience against radicalism and Islamophobia lies not merely in its doctrinal commitment to moderation, but in how moderation is managerially engineered through institutional control and community participation. The study contributes analytically by reframing pesantren from sites of value education into organizational systems of ideological governance that actively filter, supervise, and communicate religious moderation in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mental health challenges faced by teachers teaching slow learners at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurul Huda Bondowoso and identify effective strategies for addressing them. A qualitative case study approach was used, using in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and analysis of school policy documents. The results indicate that teachers face high levels of emotional distress and stress due to the demands of adapting teaching methods to students' individual needs. While the Madrasah provides emotional and psychological support through counseling services and stress management training, barriers to seeking psychological help remain, including stigma. Collaboration between teachers, parents, and specialists has been shown to improve teaching effectiveness and student well-being. Furthermore, the implementation of adaptive teaching methods plays a significant role in reducing teacher stress levels and increasing slow learner engagement and learning outcomes. In conclusion, holistic support encompassing emotional, social, and pedagogical aspects is necessary to maintain teacher mental health and improve the quality of inclusive education in Madrasahs.

Abstract

The transformation of monetary systems from gold and silver to fiat and digital currencies has generated significant challenges for contemporary Islamic jurisprudence. Central to these debates is the concept of thamaniyyah (moneyness), which determines the legal status of money and the application of rulings related to riba, Sarf, zakat, debts, and financial obligations. Scholars continue to disagree on whether thamaniyyah is a legally effective cause (ʿillah sharʿiyyah) or a customary attribute (wasf ʿurfi) arising from social acceptance and economic practice. Using a qualitative doctrinal methodology that combines analytical, comparative, and maqasid-oriented approaches, this study examines classical juristic writings, works of usul al-fiqh, contemporary Islamic finance literature, and fiqh academy resolutions. The findings show that classical scholarship supports both interpretations: some jurists treated thamaniyyah as an operative cause for extending monetary rulings, while others emphasized custom, public acceptance, and institutional recognition. The study argues that thamaniyyah is best understood as a custom-based legal attribute that originates in social and economic recognition but acquires binding legal consequences within the Shariʿah framework. This interpretation preserves doctrinal continuity while enabling Islamic law to address fiat money, inflation, digital currencies, and future monetary transformations.

Abstract

Mental health challenges among adolescents have increased considerably due to academic pressure, technological changes, and social uncertainty. Islamic Religious Education has substantial potential to contribute to students’ psychological well-being by fostering spirituality, emotional regulation, and resilience. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of spiritual-based Islamic learning in strengthening students’ mental well-being. A mixed-method research design involving 274 senior high school students was conducted. Quantitative data were obtained using standardized resilience, emotional well-being, and spiritual intelligence scales, while qualitative data were collected through interviews and reflective journals. The findings demonstrate that integrating reflective Qur’anic learning, gratitude practices, dhikr, collaborative discussions, and positive psychology significantly improves students’ resilience, emotional stability, optimism, and stress management abilities. Furthermore, students develop stronger self-awareness and healthier coping strategies for academic and social challenges. The novelty of this study is the development of a Spiritual Well-Being Learning Model, integrating Islamic spirituality with positive psychology to enhance holistic student development in Islamic Religious Education

Abstract

Islamic educational institutions have historically played a pivotal role in shaping the intellectual and ethical development of students. This research examines modern pedagogical innovations within Islamic education systems and assesses their impact on students’ cognitive and ethical development. Through case studies of Islamic schools, universities, and other educational settings in both traditional and contemporary contexts, the study highlights the integration of Islamic principles with innovative teaching methods. The research emphasizes the role of technology, experiential learning, and student-centered approaches in fostering critical thinking, moral reasoning, and community engagement. Data collected from surveys, interviews, and classroom observations provide a comprehensive analysis of how these innovations are being implemented and their effectiveness in nurturing well-rounded individuals. The paper concludes with recommendations for further integrating modern pedagogical techniques within Islamic education, particularly in the context of global educational challenges.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital technology has significantly transformed Islamic religious education across formal and informal learning contexts. This article explores Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in the digital era through a multidisciplinary lens, integrating pedagogy, educational technology, and ethical studies. It examines how digital tools reshape teaching strategies, learning interactions, and moral development within Islamic education. By analyzing contemporary digital practices, the study highlights both opportunities—such as increased accessibility and learner engagement—and challenges, including ethical concerns and value preservation. Abstract

Educational transformation continues to evolve beyond Education 4.0 and Society 5.0 toward the emerging concept of Education 6.0, emphasizing intelligent technologies, sustainability, global citizenship, and holistic human development. Islamic Religious Education must proactively respond to this paradigm shift while preserving its foundational spiritual and ethical principles. This study aims to reconstruct the future paradigm of Islamic Religious Education by integrating artificial intelligence, sustainability education, spiritual intelligence, and transformative pedagogy. A qualitative conceptual research design employing systematic literature review and theoretical synthesis was conducted. The findings suggest that future Islamic education should prioritize adaptive learning, AI-assisted instruction, interdisciplinary curriculum design, ecological responsibility, ethical digital citizenship, and lifelong spiritual development. The proposed framework positions Islamic education as a catalyst for producing globally competent, technologically literate, morally responsible, and spiritually grounded learners capable of addressing future societal challenges. The novelty of this study is the formulation of the Education 6.0 Islamic Learning Ecosystem, a comprehensive theoretical model integrating emerging technologies, sustainable education, human-centered innovation, and Islamic educational philosophy as the foundation for the future of Islamic Religious Education

Abstract

Financial management is all activities related to how to obtain, use and manage funds to achieve overall family goals. Family financial management has four indicators, namely the obligation to pay debts, basic needs, desires/social and charity. The purpose of this study is to find out how Family Financial Literacy as a Life Skill Prevents Divorce in Central Kalimantan Province. This study uses a library research method with a qualitative-descriptive approach. The author can dig up the information data needed in this writing through interviews and observations that examine the provisions of family financial literacy as a life skill to prevent divorce. The results of this study (1) that earning a living is the husband's obligation, but if the wife wants to work and earn a living together, this is highly recommended because the income of the husband and wife who work will be more optimal and can help cover household needs, so that if household needs are met properly, it will reduce conflict in the household and indirectly will reduce the divorce rate in Central Kalimantan Province. (2) A harmonious atmosphere at home helps create balance in daily life, allowing family members to focus more on other aspects of life such as career, education, and hobbies. Happy moments and family togetherness create lifelong memories, building a strong foundation for lasting family relationships. Harmony within the household can prevent conflict and divorce in Central Kalimantan Province, resulting in a significant drop in the divorce rate.

Abstract

Undang-Undang Guru dan Dosen mensyaratkan dua pilar utama profesionalisme guru, yaitu kualifikasi akademik minimal sarjana (S1) dan sertifikat pendidik yang diperoleh melalui Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG). Pada jenjang Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), kedua syarat tersebut tidak selalu berjalan paralel sehingga memunculkan kesenjangan struktural antara guru yang telah memenuhi kualifikasi akademik namun belum berstatus profesional, dan guru yang telah berstatus profesional namun latar pendidikannya tidak selalu linear. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pola kesenjangan tersebut serta faktor-faktor yang melatarinya melalui pendekatan mixed-methods sekuensial eksplanatori pada guru MI di tiga kabupaten binaan Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei terhadap 124 guru, wawancara mendalam terhadap 14 informan kunci, dan studi dokumen data kepegawaian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya 48,4% guru berkualifikasi S1 linear PGMI yang telah tersertifikasi melalui PPG, sementara guru dengan latar S1 non-kependidikan hampir seluruhnya belum memiliki akses memadai terhadap program tersebut. Kesenjangan ini dipengaruhi oleh kuota PPG yang terbatas, mekanisme seleksi yang belum sepenuhnya berbasis kebutuhan riil madrasah, serta minimnya afirmasi bagi madrasah di wilayah tertinggal. Temuan ini berimplikasi pada perlunya redesain kebijakan distribusi kuota PPG yang lebih berpihak pada kesetaraan akses bagi guru madrasah, khususnya pada satuan pendidikan dasar keagamaan yang selama ini relatif termarginalkan dari arus utama kebijakan pendidikan nasional.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the roots of the failure of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in achieving its ultimate goal, namely to form students who are faithful, pious, and have noble character in everyday life. Through a qualitative approach with content analysis methods and comprehensive literature studies, this study identifies fundamental factors that cause the gap between the ideals and the reality of PAI implementation in Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that there are several main factors for PAI failure, including: problems with the curriculum that is not contextual, learning methods that tend to be indoctrinative, lack of teacher competence, limited infrastructure, disparities in education policies, the influence of globalization and digitalization, and minimal collaboration between three educational centers. The implication of this study is the need for a comprehensive reformulation and revitalization of the PAI system that involves all stakeholders, by considering philosophical, sociological, psychological, and technical pedagogical aspects to realize the ultimate goal of PAI in forming perfect human beings who reflect Islamic values ​​in life.
