Abstract

Motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep perkalian masih menjadi tantangan dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar. Hal ini ditemukan pada siswa kelas III B SD Laboratorium UPI Purwakarta, di mana pembelajaran masih bergantung pada metode menghafal. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan pemahaman konsep perkalian dengan memanfaatkan website interaktif Ez Times. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) yang melibatkan kolaborasi aktif antara peneliti dan komunitas sekolah dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan, dan mengevaluasi kegiatan pengabdian. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa, terlihat dari naiknya minat belajar dari 47,65% menjadi 54,55%. Siswa juga menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi, partisipasi aktif, serta pemahaman konsep perkalian yang lebih baik berkat fitur tabel berjenjang dan kuis interaktif. Dengan demikian, penggunaan website Ez Times yang diimbangi dengan pendampingan langsung terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran perkalian di jenjang sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Pengelolaan kelas merupakan komponen penting dalam menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang efektif dan bermutu di sekolah dasar. Namun, berbagai penelitian menunjukkan masih terdapat kesenjangan antara praktik pengelolaan kelas ideal dan kondisi nyata di lapangan, seperti kurangnya pemahaman guru mengenai aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik siswa serta penerapan strategi yang belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan konsep, strategi, dan pendekatan pengelolaan kelas yang dapat meningkatkan efektivitas dan mutu pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menganalisis jurnal, buku, dan dokumen ilmiah relevan yang diterbitkan dalam sepuluh tahun terakhir. Analisis dilakukan melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan kelas yang efektif ditandai oleh kemampuan guru menjaga kondisi belajar yang kondusif, penerapan strategi yang variatif seperti diskusi, kerja kelompok, dan pembelajaran berbasis proyek, serta penggunaan pendekatan yang menyesuaikan karakteristik siswa. Selain itu, inovasi seperti gamifikasi terbukti meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi belajar. Simpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penguatan kompetensi manajerial guru dan penerapan pendekatan fleksibel sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pelatihan intensif bagi guru SD untuk menguasai strategi dan pendekatan pengelolaan kelas secara komprehensif.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the humanistic-democratic model in an effort to improve student motivation and learning discipline in elementary schools. Education as the main foundation in the formation of quality human resources requires a comprehensive learning approach, not only oriented to the cognitive aspect, but also paying attention to the affective and social aspects. The humanistic model emphasizes respect for the uniqueness and potential of each individual, while the democratic model emphasizes the principles of equality, justice, and active student participation in the learning process. The method used in this study is a literature study with a content analysis of relevant literature related to the theory and practice of the humanistic and democratic models. The results of the study revealed that the application of the model is able to create an inclusive, warm, and conducive learning environment, which significantly increases student motivation and learning discipline. This approach is also effective in building students' character to be independent, responsible, and have social empathy from an early age. The implications of this study provide practical guidance for educators in developing holistic and humanity-oriented classroom management strategies in elementary schools.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping character, fostering creativity, and enhancing discipline in students. Learning success is largely determined by the teacher's skill in optimally and effectively organizing and controlling the classroom, aiming to create a conducive learning atmosphere that fosters enthusiasm and fosters students' creative potential. The effectiveness of classroom management is influenced by several factors, both internal and external. Internal factors include psychological aspects such as self-awareness, interest, motivation, and a positive mindset. Students with high motivation and self-awareness tend to be more active and responsible. Learning success is largely determined by the teacher's skill in optimally organizing and controlling the classroom. Research shows that the most dominant external factors are a lack of parental supervision and support, as well as a community environment that does not support discipline. Therefore, the main conclusion is that teachers must take a strategic role in balancing these internal and external influences. This can be achieved through the implementation of planned, collaborative, and contextual classroom management strategies, an inclusive, participatory learning environment, and one that supports the development of student creativity.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the main determinant factors that most dominantly influence the interest and learning motivation of Elementary School (SD) students. Fluctuations in interest and motivation are often the main obstacles to achieving optimal learning outcomes at the elementary level. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, involving the critical identification, evaluation, and synthesis of relevant primary studies. The synthesis of empirical findings indicates that students' interest and motivation are significantly influenced by both internal and external factors. Internal factors include students' physical and mental condition, intelligence, and attitude towards the lesson, while the most dominant external factors relate to the teacher's role, encompassing teacher creativity in varied methods and media usage, and creating a conducive classroom environment. Furthermore, environmental support, particularly the role of parents and the availability of facilities, is also a crucial determinant. Intrinsic motivation factors, such as drive, needs in learning, and future aspirations, were found to be quite dominant. These findings confirm that effective learning strategies must be student-centered and supported by improving teacher competency in classroom management and instructional innovation, as well as active collaboration with parents.

Abstract

The background of this study stems from the issue of low student learningoutcomes, which are attributed to a lack of active engagement in the learningprocess and the suboptimal use of instructional media. This study aims to examinethe effect of the Inquiry Learning model assisted by Educaplay media on students’cognitive learning outcomes in the topic of Map Components for fourth-gradeelementary students. The method used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the nonequivalent control group design. Theresearch subjects consisted of two classes: the experimental class, whichimplemented the Guided Inquiry model assisted by Educaplay, and the controlclass, which used the Modified Free Inquiry model. The research instrument was acognitive learning outcome test in the form of 20 multiple-choice questions. Thedata analysis results showed that the Inquiry Learning model assisted byEducaplay led to a 66% improvement in students’ cognitive learning outcomes,categorized as moderately effective. Meanwhile, the class using the Modified FreeInquiry model showed a 42% improvement, which falls into the less effectivecategory. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Inquiry Learning model assistedby Educaplay has a positive effect on improving elementary school students’cognitive learning outcomes, with a difference in improvement of 18.4%.

Abstract

Elementary school is a level of education that can shape students' personalities and develop the potential embedded within themselves. Apart from delivering academic material, there is also a need for other school programs to support student growth and development, one of which is extracurricular activities. Extracurricular activities are an integral part of school life that can provide various benefits for students. knowledgeable and character. To achieve optimal educational goals, there needs to be supporting factors from various parties, one of which is the role of teachers in schools to develop creativity, interests and talents. This research uses a literature study method by looking for theoretical references and written summaries such as from books, journals or e-books by organizing or integrating them into the necessary topics. Participating in extracurricular activities is one way for students to explore their interests and talents. Students' potential and abilities can be seen by participating in these activities. By knowing one's talents, interests and potential, it will be easier for a person to determine steps in achieving more focused life goals.

Abstract

In the field of education, which is constantly changing to innovate, implementing various methods in learning is important to strengthen students' understanding and creativity. Through integrated learning, students can gain direct experience, which enhances their ability to receive, retain, and apply learned concepts. This approach not only fosters a deeper comprehension of academic subjects but also encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, integrated learning helps students make meaningful connections between different disciplines, promoting a more holistic educational experience. This research is qualitative in nature, using a literature study approach, with books and literature as the main sources. By analyzing existing studies and theoretical frameworks, this research aims to identify effective strategies for integrating different subjects and activities in the classroom. This study is expected to contribute to the implementation of integrated learning to enhance creativity in elementary school students. Abstract

This article discusses the use of rewards and punishments in managing classrooms in elementary schools, which are common strategies for teachers to manage student behavior and create a conducive learning environment. Rewards are given as a form of appreciation for students' positive behavior, while punishment is used to reduce negative behavior. Based on literature studies, the use of rewards can increase learning motivation and strengthen positive behavior, while punishment can reduce deviant behavior and increase discipline in the classroom. However, teachers must use rewards and punishment proportionally and fairly so as not to have a negative effect on students. This article also discusses effective strategies for implementing rewards and punishment, as well as the importance of consistency in managing the classroom.

Abstract

Character education in primary schools is a crucial aspect in shaping quality generations, not only academically but also morally. This article aims to explore various dimensions of character education, including theoretical frameworks, successful models, and the challenges and opportunities in its implementation in Indonesia. Integrating character education with 21st-century skills such as creativity, collaboration, and communication is a primary focus, emphasizing the importance of a holistic approach to learning. Additionally, this article offers practical recommendations for linking character education with various teaching methods, including project-based learning, that involve collaboration between schools, parents, and the community. This research also reflects the novelty compared to previous literature, which often remains disconnected from practical contexts. By emphasizing the synergy among stakeholders, it is hoped that an environment supporting student character development can be created, allowing character education to become a key pillar in primary education in Indonesia.
