Abstract

Sudu turbin angin memiliki prinsip kerja mengkonversi energi angin menjadi energi mekanik. Bentuk sudu dipengaruhi oleh profil airfoil yang memiliki karakteristik aerodinamika berupa koefisien momen (CM) yang mempengaruhi peforma gaya aerodinamis yang dihasilkan oleh sudu. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peforma sudu turbin angin H-Rotor dengan jenis airfoil NACA 0018, SELIG 1210, dan FX 63-137 menggunakan metode Blade Element Theory. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan menguji karakteristik aerodinamika airfoil di terowongan angin rangkaian terbuka pada kecepatan angin 7,2 m/s. Metode analisis dilakukan dengan menganalisis gaya hambat (FD), gaya angkat (FL), gaya normal (FN), gaya tangensial (FT) yang dihasilkan setiap posisi sudu. Posisi sudu dipengaruhi oleh sudut azimuth yang terdapat pada setiap sudu turbin angin tipe H-Rotor sehingga nilai sudut serang berubah – ubah pada setiap posisi sudu. Hasil analisis menjelaskan gaya tangensial mempengaruhi torsi serta daya yang akan dihasilkan. Novelty dari penelitian ini terletak pada pendekatan sistematis dalam pemilihan airfoil yang optimal berdasarkan analisis gaya aerodinamis secara komprehensif, dengan fokus khusus pada perbandingan karakteristik udara dalam berbagai posisi sudu. Pemilihan airfoil NACA 0018 dengan sudut serang pemasangan awal sebesar 15° menghasilkan rata – rata gaya tangensial selama satu putaran sebesar 502,2 Newton menjadi pilihan yang tepat digunakan pada Turbin angin H-Rotor jenis 3 sudu.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of fifth grade students ofSDN 007 Samarinda Ulu, especially in the Arts and Culture subject. The purpose ofthis research is to determine the improvement in the learning outcomes of Arts andCulture on the Recycling of Used Paper Material by Using Experiment-BasedLearning Methods for Fifth Grade Students at SDN 007 Samarinda Ulu in the2024/2025 Academic Year.This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is conducted intwo cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. The procedure of this researchconsists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, reflection.The subjects in this study were 21 students of class V A SDN 007 Samarinda Uluand the object of this research was the results of learning Arts and Culture usingexperimental-based learning methods. Data collection techniques in this study usedobservation, tests and documentation. The instruments in this study used teacheractivity observation sheets, student activity observation sheets and student learningoutcome test sheets. The data analysis techniques in this study used averagevalues, percentages and diagrams.The results of the study showed an increase in the average value of students fromthe pre-cycle value of students 54.57 with a percentage of completion of 39%. Student learning outcomes in cycle I experienced an increase of 15% from the pre-cycle baseline value, with an average class value of 64.76 with a percentage of completion of 52%. Cycle II learning outcomes experienced an increase of 39.17%from the pre-cycle baseline value, with an average value of 75.95 with a percentageof completion of 85.71% with 18 students completing and 3 students not completing,and achieving more than the expected success indicator of 75%. Based on theresults of the study, it can be concluded that there was an increase in the learningoutcomes of Arts and Culture on the material of Recycling Used Paper UsingExperiment-Based Learning Methods in Class V A Students of SDN 007 SamarindaUlu in the 2024/2025 Academic Year.

Abstract

the purpose of this research is to know the implementation of learning using e-learning. This study uses descriptive qualitative research with a phenomenological approach and literature review as reference material. Data collection tools used in this research are observation, interviews, and documentation. This research study focuses on class 2019 students who carry out learning using e-learning applications. Data collected from students were then analyzed using reduction data, presentation data, and verification data. The results of this study are then poured into writing after checking the validity of the data so that the data can be trusted. Triangulation is one of the data validity techniques used in this study. So that the results obtained are that students' perceptions of learning using e-learning are different, namely: students and lecturers do not fully understand the implementation of e-learning; facilities provided by campuses do not support e-learning based learning, such as WiFi and internet quota subsidies; lack of interaction between lecturers and students, and some lecturers have not fully implemented e-learning.

Abstract

Bioethanol derived from cassava has the potential as an alternative energy material because cassava plants contain starch, sugar or cellulose which can be used in the process of making alternative and environmentally friendly fuels. This study aims to make bioethanol from cassava starch. This research method starts from material preparation to the process stage consisting of the fermentation process, distillation process, and the final stage, namely testing ethanol content and adding fuel. 5 kg of cassava is used to produce 98 ml of bioethanol distillation with 16% rendition. The combustion test was carried out to obtain a comparison of the calorific value between the fuel mixture - Bioethanol and fuel -Alcohol, Mixing partalalite - Bioethanol 1: 19 (95% partalaite: 5% Bioethanol) and fuel - Alcohol 1: 19 (95% partalite: 5 % alcohol). The results of the research obtained the calorific value of combustion of the partalalite - alcohol mixture: 11,649.48 kcal/kg, while for the partalalite - bioethanol mixture: 11,486.15 kcal/kg. So that the higher the concentration of ethanol mixed in partalite, the higher the calorific value.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the improvement of science learning outcomes by applying the RODE learning model. The subjects in this study were 19 students in the eighth grade of SMPN 3 Karang Intan in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. Three observers assessed the RODE model implemented by the science teacher in her class on hydrostatics pressure material in the first cycle and Archimedes' law material in the second cycle. The Four pretest-posttest questions calculated the students' science learning outcomes. The success criterion of this study was that ≥ 75% of the research subjects obtained a score of ≥70. The data analysis used mode scores on observation data and pretest-posttest results for each cycle. According to the data analysis results, Teachers can apply the RODE learning model very well, with the mode score increasing from 3 in the first cycle to 4 in the second. 100% of students' science learning outcomes increased, with a mode score of 5 becoming 70 in the first cycle and a mode score of 30 becoming 100 in the second. Thus, the RODE learning model enhanced the science learning outcomes of eighth-grade students of SMPN 3 Karang Intan.

Abstract

World seaweed production in 2020 published by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Indonesia was ranked second as the largest seaweed producer with production of 11.8 million tons. The aim of this research is: To analyze the characteristics of seaweed liquid waste at PT. XYZ. To design a seaweed liquid waste processing process at PT. XYZ based on physics-chemistry as recycled water. Methods include analysis and experiments. This method is used to analyze the characteristics of liquid waste and determine the design of the seaweed liquid waste processing process at PT. XYZ. Research results: The characteristics of the seaweed liquid waste produced do not meet the quality standards in Kep.08/Men. LH/2009 concerning Industrial Waste. A physic-chemical based liquid waste processing process with neutralization, filtering and aeration can be used as recycled water in the alkali treatment process.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the validity of the physics e-module for grade X Senior High School students. The type of research used is research and development (R&D) by adopting the ADDIE development model. The stages of the ADDIE development model consist of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data analysis was conducted to assess the validity of the physics e-module in three aspects: media, content, and language. Validity was evaluated by six experts: two media experts, two content experts, and two language experts. The results of the validity test of the physics e-module obtained from media experts was 79% with the category "Valid", from content experts was 94% with the category "Very Valid", and from language experts was an average of 90% with the category "Very Valid". It can be concluded that the physics e-module is valid and suitable for use in physics learning for grade X Senior High School students.

Abstract

This study evaluates the efficiency of water usage in the Department of Environmental Engineering at Universitas Andalas (Unand) by analyzing water consumption volume, identifying potential leaks, and comparing the findings with applicable standards for laboratories and offices. A 1.5-inch water meter was installed at the outlet of the rooftop reservoir on the 4th floor to measure water usage volume, and manual attendance devices were used to record the number of water users in the office and laboratory. Leakage testing was performed using the step test method, where water flow was stopped for 16 hours overnight to monitor changes in the water meter readings, with results indicating no leakage. The study found that the highest water consumption was 39.66 L/person/day in the laboratory and 55.06 L/person/day in the office. Water consumption in laboratories was found to be 100-200 L/person/day according to the standard, while water use in offices slightly exceeds the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 03-7065-2005 of 50 L/person/day. The study recommends implementing water conservation technologies, such as automatic faucets and dual-flush toilet systems, to reduce water consumption and enhance water efficiency.

Abstract

Programming instruction in Vocational Basics for Software and Game Development (PPLG) often encounters challenges such as limited lab practice time, restricted learning media, and conventional one-way teaching methods. This study aims to develop a Moodle-based Learning Management System (LMS) integrated with a Virtual Programming Lab (VPL) that is valid, practical, and effective. Utilizing the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), the LMS was tested on 36 grade X PPLG students at SMKN 2 Padang. Results showed high validity with a score of 4.4 (highly feasible), practicality scores of 5.0 (teachers) and 4.4 (students) (highly practical), and effectiveness with an N-gain of 0.80 (high). The findings indicate that the LMS significantly enhances learning outcomes, offering a flexible and effective solution for teaching Vocational Basics. This study concludes that the Moodle-based LMS with VPL integration is a viable tool to address existing instructional challenges in PPLG education.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective Google Sites-based interactive learning media for Grade XI Physics. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method, utilizing the 4D development model which consists of four phases: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The data sources included assessments from experts, educators, and students, which described the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed media. The validity test results indicated that the Google Sites-based interactive learning media is suitable for implementation in the learning process according to experts. The responses from educators and students also demonstrated that the media is practical for use in learning. The effectiveness test results revealed that the developed interactive learning media is effective in improving student learning outcomes, with an N-Gain score of 0.76 for the knowledge aspect. Meanwhile, for the skills aspect, it was categorized as moderately effective with an N-Gain score of 0.73. Therefore, the Google Sites-based interactive learning media is valid, practical, and effective for use in the Physics learning process.
