Abstract

The interpretation of the Qur'an during the Ottoman Empire is thought to have faced a period of stagnation, attributed to a lack of interpretive literature production. However, recent philological studies suggest a notable flourishing of Quranic interpretation during its golden age. This study aims to challenge this assumption by proposing a hypothesis that the practice of interpreting the Qur'an in the Ottoman Empire was shaped by historical conditions, political turmoil, and the intellectual capabilities of its people. It delves into the dynamics of Quranic interpretation activities, exploring chronological periods during the Ottoman era. Employing descriptive-analytical techniques within a historical context, the study conducts a literature review with primary sources, including Quranic commentary books by Ottoman interpreters, and secondary sources, such as journal articles and books on Quranic interpretation and Ottoman Empire history. The findings reveal that Quranic interpretation during the Ottoman Empire exhibited adaptability to historical changes. The observed dynamics are categorized into three periods: the interaction period, marked by the introduction of classical interpretive works; the culmination period, representing the peak of Quranic interpretation practice; and the decline period, characterized by a weakening tradition due to internal and external challenges faced by the Empire.

Abstract

The reform of civil law plays a crucial role in guiding society towards better gender justice. This article investigates the impact of civil law reform on women's empowerment and the enhancement of gender equality across various aspects of life. The primary focus involves analyzing legal changes aimed at addressing gender disparities in civil rights, property ownership, and family responsibilities. The discussion includes evaluating the impact of civil law reform on traditional structures that may limit women's roles. Additionally, this article highlights concrete steps taken to provide stronger legal protection for women, encouraging active participation in social and economic life. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the article also reviews the psychological and social impacts of civil law reform on societal perceptions of gender roles. Thus, the author argues that civil law reform is not only about legal reform but also a critical step towards a more just and equal society. In conclusion, civil law reform is not merely a legal necessity but also a catalyst for profound social change. This article hopes to stimulate further discussion on how legal efforts can continue to promote gender equality within a broader legal framework.

Abstract

The indication of students who uphold the values ​​of Pancasila is having steadfastness and confidence in a nation which can be seen from the attitude of nationalism and love for the homeland which is born in the form of the 4th principle of the people's attitude which is led by wisdom in deliberation/representation which means being able to following the dynamics in actualizing the values ​​of Pancasila in the life of the nation and state. This research aims to determine the application of students' democratic attitudes as a manifestation of the 4th principle value through Civics subjects at SMA N 2 Sikakap and explore how the 4th principle is implemented in school. The research method used is qualitative with a case study design. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation and literature. Research data sources consist of primary and secondary sources. The results of the research show that students at SMA N 2 Sikakap show that PPKn subjects make a contribution to students so that students are able to understand the values ​​of Pancasila, are able to understand the principles of democracy and are able to appreciate the diversity and tolerance that exist in the Sikakap area accordingly. with the principles of the 4th principle and being a socializer in the social environment.

Abstract

Pernikahan adalah salah satu bagian dari perintah agama yang telah ditetapkan berdasarkan syari’at Islam. Pernikahan juga merupakan sarana penyaluran hasrat seksual yang dihalalkan oleh agama. Pada perpektif ini, ketika sesorang dengan pasangan lawan jenisnya melakukan pernikahan maka ia bukan hanya melaksanakan perintah agama (syari’at), tetapi juga memiliki tujuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan biologisnya yang secara kodrat memang harus disalurkan.Perkawinan pada umumnya dilakukan oleh orang dewasa dengan tidak memandang pada profesi, agama, suku bangsa, miskin atau kaya, tinggal di desa atau di kota. Pada tahun 2018, 1 dari 9 anak perempuan menikah di indonesia. Perempuan umur 20-24 tahun yang menikah sebelum berusia 18 tahun di tahun 2018 diperkirakan mencapai sekitar 1.220.900 dan angka ini menempatkan Indonesia pada 10 negara dengan angka absolut perkawinan anak tertinggi di dunia. Pernikahan anak merupakan masalah sosial dan ekonomi yang diperumit dengan tradisi dan budaya dalam kelompok masyarakat. Faktor budaya dan pandangan keagamaan banyak mempengaruhi pola pikir masyarakat yang menyatakan bahwa anak perempuan boleh dinikahkan asalkan sudah baligh, jika terlambat menikahkan anak perempuan dianggap tidak laku, dan tugas anak perempuan itu hanya urusan domestik sehingga tidak perlu pendidikan tinggi.

Abstract

This study underscores the significance of E-books centered on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) for junior high school students, highlighting the value of interactive and multidirectional learning resources to foster sustainability awareness. The research objectives are to (1) find out the necessity of ESD-based E-books for enhancing sustainability awareness among students, 2) to prove the advantages and disadvantages of ESD-based learning compared to traditional learning, and (3) compare ESD-based learning with traditional methods. Using interviews, and literature study, the study finds traditional printed science textbooks insufficient in engaging students, often reducing their enthusiasm for learning. Interviews reveal that conventional textbooks are the primary learning medium, but students find them uninspiring. E-books, however, show promise in boosting student engagement through features like accessibility, searchability, and interactivity. Challenges exist in integrating ESD into the curriculum, primarily due to educators' limited understanding of sustainability concepts. Nonetheless, ESD-based E-books are seen as effective tools for developing a sustainable culture and enhancing students' awareness of sustainability issues. The literature study indicates a clear need for ESD-based E-books for students, emphasizing their role in preparing the next generation for sustainable development. The study recommends rigorous testing and comparative analysis of STEM-ESD E-books versus traditional resources to evaluate their effectiveness in raising sustainability awareness among junior high school students. The ultimate aim is to promote self-directed learning and greater awareness of sustainability.

Abstract

One effective way of training 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, is by utilizing the STEM approach to learning. This study aimed to investigate the influence of STEM-based physics modules on the critical thinking skills of 11th-grade students. For this study, the quantitative research method was employed with the research design of a one-group pre-test post-test design. The data was collected from 33 students in a high school in Sukabumi, Indonesia. The researchers developed a module based on STEM principles focused on sound waves, which was then delivered to the students. They were given a pre-test and post-test of five essay questions to assess the student’s critical thinking skills. Each question measures each critical thinking skill aspect : elementary clarification, basic support, inference, advanced clarification, and supposition and integration. After analyzing the pre-test and post-test results of the students, Normalized gain calculations were used to measure improvement. The research indicated that the N-gain for the student’s critical thinking skills was 0.58, placing it in the medium enhancement category. As a result, it can be concluded that the STEM-based physics module improved the students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Klien post Sectio caesarea (SC) sebagian besar akan mengalami perasaan cemas. Klien yang mengalami cemas akan menghambat penyembuhan luka. Tanda gejala cemas seperti  perasaan cemas, firasat buruk, gelisah, lesu, mudah terganggu, gangguan tidur, kurangnya minat, nyeri otot. Cemas bisa diatasi dengan penanganan farmakologi dan nonfarmakologi salah satu terapi nonfarmakologi yaitu dengan cara pemberian terapi hipnosis lima jari dan terapi kognitif. Tujuan dilakukan terapi hipnotis lima jari kombinasi dengan terapi kognitif untuk menurunkan kecemasan klien dan merubah fikiran negatif menjadi positif. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah RS Bhayangkara Polda Jambi. Sasarannya Ibu post SC hari 1-3 dengan jumlah 25 peserta. Metode Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini melibatkan pendekatan personal untuk memberikan edukasi kepada masing-masing peserta, menerapkan terapi hipnotis lima jari, dan mengukur tingkat kecemasan terhadap klien. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan perbandingan antara tingkat kecemasan sebelum menerapkan terapi hipnotis lima jari kombinasi terapi kognitif dan setelah menerapkan terapi hipnosis lima jari kombinasi terapi kognitif menggunakan HARS, instrumen kepuasan dan instrumen observasi tanda gejala luka SC. Waktu yang dibutuhkan dalam melakukan terapi hipnotis 5 jari yaitu selama 15 menit. Hasil dari adanya kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat menunjukan distribusi frekuensi kecemasan pada klien post SC sebelum diberikan terapi yang tidak cemas sebnayak 14 orang (56%) setelah dilakukan terapi menjadi 16 orang (64%). Hipnotis lima jari kombinasi dengan terapi kognitif mampu menurunkan kecemasan pada klien post SC diharapkan pihak RS menerapkan Hipnotis lima jari kombinasi dengan terapi kognitif dalam menurunkan kecemasan kepada klien post SC.  Kata Kunci: Hipnotis Lima Jari, Terapi Kognitif, SC  ABSTRACT Post Sectio caesarea (SC) clients will mostly experience feelings of anxiety. Clients who experience anxiety will inhibit wound healing. Signs of anxiety include feelings of anxiety, bad feelings, restlessness, lethargy, easily distracted, sleep disturbances, lack of interest, muscle aches. Anxiety can be overcome with pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment, one of which is non-pharmacological therapy, namely by administering five finger hypnosis therapy and cognitive therapy. The aim of five finger hypnosis therapy in combination with cognitive therapy is to reduce the client's anxiety and change negative thoughts into positive ones. Research Method: The partner in this activity is Bhayangkara Hospital, Jambi Regional Police. The target is post SC days 1-3 with a total of 25 participants. This Community Service Method involves a personal approach to providing education to each participant, applying five finger hypnosis therapy, and measuring the client's anxiety level. Evaluation of activities was carried out by comparing anxiety levels before applying five-finger hypnosis therapy combined with cognitive therapy and after applying five-finger hypnosis therapy combined with cognitive therapy using HARS, a satisfaction instrument and an instrument for observing signs of SC wound symptoms. The time required to carry out 5 finger hypnosis therapy is 15 minutes. The results of the Community Service activities showed that the frequency distribution of anxiety in post-SC clients before being given therapy was 14 people (56%) who were not anxious after therapy became 16 people (64%). Conclusion: Five finger hypnosis combined with cognitive therapy can reduce anxiety in post SC clients. Abstract

Hotels are an important part of tourism and a place for anyone to rest. The aim of this research was to determine the influence of facilities, brand image, product quality, promotions and service quality on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. This type of research is quantitative with a purposive sampling technique distributed through questionnaires to 145 employee respondents to visitors to 4 Star Hotels who live in Tangerang and Bogor. Primary data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results of this research show that the 6 (six) proposed hypotheses are accepted, and the promotion variable has the greatest direct influence on customer satisfaction. Based on these findings, it can be seen that the role of facilities, brand image, product quality, promotion and service quality influence customer satisfaction and the level of satisfaction influences customer loyalty in 4 star hotels. Mediationally, it can be seen that the results show negative results for the service quality and service quality variables. product quality on customer loyalty through hotel customer satisfaction.   Keywords: image facilities, product and service quality, promotion, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty

Abstract

Customer satisfaction is very important for business because high customer satisfaction will increase company profits. The aim of this research is to examine service quality, where positive service quality has major implications for customer assessment, has an impact on customer satisfaction and customer satisfaction itself has an influence on customer loyalty and word of mouth intentions. This research used a purposive sampling method involving 150 non-local fashion brand customers from Tangerang and Jakarta. Data analysis uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). This research produces findings including that customer experience has a negative effect on customer loyalty, service quality has a positive effect on customer satisfaction which ultimately has a positive effect on customer loyalty and word of mouth intentions. There are several limitations to this research, including only using one industry as the research object, an online questionnaire distribution system and the need to add other variables to expand the findings so that it is hoped that future researchers can fill these gaps. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the perception of generation Z adolescents towards the local cultural values of 4S (Silih Asah, Silih Asih, Silih Asuh, and Silih Wangi) in Tamansari District, Bogor. The 4S local cultural value is a concept that represents the principles of local wisdom in terms of honing each other's knowledge and skills, loving and respecting each other, educating and guiding each other, and disseminating fragrance or kindness. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection methods through in-depth interviews and participatory observations. The study participants consisted of generation Z teenagers living in Tamansari District, Bogor. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify patterns of perceptions and views of adolescents towards local 4S cultural values. The results showed that the perception of generation Z adolescents towards the value of local 4S culture tends to vary. Some adolescents consider these values as important cultural heritage to maintain and practice in daily life, while others may lack understanding or interest in them. Factors such as modernization, globalization, and the influence of social media also influence adolescents' perceptions of local 4S cultural values. This research provides a deeper understanding of the perception of generation Z adolescents towards the value of local 4S culture in Tamansari District, Bogor. These findings can be used as a basis for efforts to preserve and develop local culture, particularly in the context of adolescents and the younger generation. In addition, this research also contributes to our understanding of the role of local cultural values in dealing with social changes occurring in today's society.
