Abstract

This article examines the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in overcoming learning boredom among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Bungi. Learning boredom is one of the common problems in the learning process, characterized by a decline in students’ interest, motivation, and participation, particularly in Islamic Religious Education subjects. This study aims to describe the forms of learning boredom experienced by students, analyze the factors contributing to learning boredom, and examine the strategies employed by Islamic Religious Education teachers to address this issue. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving Islamic Religious Education teachers and fourth-grade students. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques, including data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that learning boredom is influenced by internal factors, such as low learning motivation and concentration, as well as external factors, including the use of less varied teaching methods and limited learning media. The efforts undertaken by Islamic Religious Education teachers to overcome learning boredom include varying teaching methods, utilizing simple instructional media, implementing active and enjoyable learning activities, and providing motivation and role modeling. This study concludes that the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers is crucial in creating a conducive and engaging learning environment, thereby minimizing students’ learning boredom and enhancing the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning.

Abstract

Self-confidence is a fundamental psychological aspect that significantly influences students' success in the learning process and their personality development. This study aims to examine the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in enhancing students' self-confidence and to analyze the forms of self-confidence that develop during the learning process at SDN 1 Baluara. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation of the learning process in Grade IV, in-depth interviews with the Islamic Religious Education teacher and five students, and documentation including learning notes and activity photographs. Data analysis used the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model through data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing stages. Data validity was tested through source triangulation, method triangulation, and member checking. The findings reveal that teachers implement five main strategies: consistent verbal motivation, varied teaching methods, creation of a safe and supportive learning environment, role modeling in every interaction, and intensive communication with parents. The forms of self-confidence that developed include courage to express opinions, active participation in discussions and presentations, ability to express oneself through various works, positive attitude toward mistakes, and more confident social interactions. This research contributes to achieving SDGs goal 4 on inclusive and participatory quality education, goal 3 on students' mental health and well-being, and goal 10 on reducing inequalities by ensuring every student receives optimal support to develop their self-confidence in Islamic Religious Education learning.

Abstract

Majelis Ta'lim (Islamic study groups) as non-formal Islamic educational institutions play a strategic role in shaping the socio-religious attitudes of the community, including the value of mutual cooperation. However, empirical studies specifically examining the role of Majelis Ta'lim (Islamic study groups) in fostering mutual cooperation through religious activities are still relatively limited. This study aims to analyze the role of Majelis Ta'lim Nurul Falaq in fostering mutual cooperation and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation in Talaga Raya District, Central Buton Regency. This study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included semi-structured interviews, non-participatory observation, and documentation, with the research subjects consisting of the chairman and members of Majelis Ta'lim. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and interactive conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that Majelis Ta'lim Nurul Falaq plays an active role in fostering mutual cooperation through routine religious activities, such as religious study groups, rotating Yasinan (recitation of the Yasinan), shalawatan (prayer), and social activities based on community awareness. These activities encourage the formation of values ​​of cooperation, solidarity, volunteerism, and social participation. The main supporting factors include congregational cohesion, participatory leadership, and social support, while time constraints and members' busy schedules are inhibiting factors. This study concludes that majelis ta'lim (Islamic study groups) significantly contribute to strengthening the value of mutual cooperation, thus contributing to strengthening social cohesion and developing the community's religious character.

Abstract

Status gizi balita merupakan indikator penting dalam menilai kesehatan masyarakat dan kualitas sumber daya manusia di masa depan. Klasifikasi status gizi yang masih dilakukan secara manual berpotensi menimbulkan kesalahan dan ketidakkonsistenan, sehingga diperlukan pendekatan berbasis data. Penelitian ini bertujuan menerapkan algoritma Random Forest untuk mengklasifikasikan status gizi balita berdasarkan indikator antropometri. Data yang digunakan berasal dari Puskesmas Merancang Ulu, Kabupaten Berau, sebanyak 321 data balita tahun 2024. Setelah melalui tahapan seleksi fitur dan prapemrosesan data, diperoleh 18 atribut yang digunakan dalam pemodelan. Proses klasifikasi dilakukan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Python dengan pustaka scikit-learn dan divalidasi menggunakan metode K-Fold Cross Validation. Kinerja model dievaluasi menggunakan Confusion Matrix dengan metrik akurasi, presisi, recall, dan F1-Score, serta ROC-AUC rata-rata makro. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma Random Forest menghasilkan akurasi rata-rata sebesar 88%, dengan nilai presisi, recall, dan F1-Score masing-masing sebesar 88%, serta nilai ROC-AUC rata-rata makro sebesar 0,965. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Random Forest efektif dan andal sebagai sistem pendukung keputusan untuk klasifikasi status gizi balita di tingkat layanan kesehatan dasar. Nutritional status of children under five is a critical indicator for assessing public health and future human resource quality. Manual classification of nutritional status is prone to errors and inconsistency, highlighting the need for data-driven approaches. This study aims to apply the Random Forest algorithm to classify the nutritional status of under-five children based on anthropometric indicators. The dataset consists of 321 nutritional records of children collected in 2024 from Merancang Ulu Public Health Center, Berau Regency. After feature selection and data preprocessing, 18 attributes were used for model development. The classification model was implemented using Python with the scikit-learn library and validated through K-Fold Cross Validation. Model performance was evaluated using a Confusion Matrix with accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics, along with macro-average ROC-AUC. The results indicate that the Random Forest model achieved an average accuracy of 88%, with precision, recall, and F1-score each reaching 88%. Furthermore, the macro-average ROC-AUC value of 0.965 demonstrates the model’s strong capability in distinguishing multiclass nutritional status categories. These findings suggest that the Random Forest algorithm is effective and reliable as a decision support system for classifying the nutritional status of children under five in primary healthcare settings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa melalui penerapan model Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL). Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus dengan setiap siklus terdapat 4 pertemuan. Subjek dalam penelitian terdiri dari 20 siswa di kelas VII SMP YPK Merauke. Data diperoleh melalui observasi aktivitas siswa dan guru, serta tes kemampuan literasi numerasi berbentuk soal cerita kontekstual. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa setelah diterapkannya model CTL. Rata-rata nilai literasi numerasi meningkat dari 67,8 pada siklus I menjadi 83,5 pada siklus II. Aktivitas belajar siswa juga meningkat dari kategori cukup aktif menjadi sangat aktif. Dengan demikian, penerapan model CTL terbukti dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa.

Abstract

The growth of social media has shaped the emotional construction and happiness standards of younger generations, including university students. In academic settings, narratives centered on positive thinking, patience (sabar), and surrender to God (tawakkal) are frequently offered as responses to psychological pressure. However, an excessive interpretation of these narratives risks giving rise to the phenomenon of toxic positivity the tendency to impose a positive outlook to the point of dismissing the validity of negative emotions. This study aims to: (1) analyze the dominant forms of toxic positivity narratives among FAI Class of 2023 students; (2) examine their educational impact; and (3) formulate a response from the perspective of Islamic Education. The study employs a qualitative case study approach, utilizing in-depth interviews with purposively selected participants. Data were analyzed thematically and reflectively to identify emerging patterns of meaning. The findings reveal that toxic positivity manifests through religious language particularly sabar and tawakkal interpreted in performative and overly simplistic ways. The value of sabar is reduced to emotional suppression, tawakkal is understood as passive resignation, and academic communication tends to lack emotional validation. The Islamic Education perspective affirms that emotional regulation does not mean the denial of feelings, but rather their proportional and reflective management. Accordingly, a reinterpretation of sabar, a reaffirmation of tawakkal as the integration of personal effort (ikhtiar) and surrender to God, and the cultivation of an empathetic culture within academic environments are all urgently needed. This study contributes to the broader field of Islamic education by integrating spiritual and psychological dimensions in a balanced manner.

Abstract

Changing the law is a necessity in this life. This work is here to explore the influence of Ibn Qayyum al-Gauziyah's thoughts on one of the theories of legal change. Ibn Qayyim al-Jauziyah in his legal thinking provides the widest possible space for the door of ijtihad in responding to change as a reality that cannot be avoided. Qualitative research methods using literature research while the analysis knife used is by analyzing information that has been collected from library data and social theory, or what is called the doctrinal-deductive method. The results of the discussion are that the legal change paradigm method is inseparable from the factors of the era, place, situation, intention and custom. Ibn Qayyim al-Gauziyah's theory of legal change is a concept of renewing Islamic legal thought. This means that Islamic law is a law that is dynamic, responsive and adaptable to demands for change. The implication of al-Jauziyah's theory of legal changes to society is in the context of achieving universal benefit in society as the purpose of the law itself.

Abstract

This study examines how tabea a living local cultural practice in the daily life of Guu Village, Batuatas District, South Buton Regency contributes to the formation and improvement of children’s moral character. Tabea functions as an embodied expression of respect, politeness, and social ethics that is continuously transmitted across generations through everyday interaction. The research employed a descriptive qualitative design. Data were collected through direct field observation, in-depth interviews with parents, teachers, community leaders, and children, as well as documentation of community practices and school-related activities. The findings indicate that the consistent enactment of tabea within the family, school, and broader community significantly supports children’s character development, particularly in cultivating courteous speech and behavior, respect for elders, self control in social interaction, and a growing sense of social responsibility. Moreover, tabea strengthens children’s awareness of social norms and reinforces positive role modeling through habituation and community supervision. These results suggest that tabea is not merely a symbolic tradition, but a practical mechanism of character education embedded in local wisdom. Therefore, preserving and revitalizing tabea should be pursued through collaborative strategies involving families, schools, and village institutions, and integrated sustainably into educational patterns to strengthen the moral foundation of the younger generation.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in implementing religious culture among Grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Kulisusu, North Buton Regency. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with key school stakeholders, observations of religious routines and student interactions, and analysis of relevant school documents. The findings show that religious culture is implemented through integrated habituation practices embedded in daily and periodic school activities, including greeting (salam), prayers before and after lessons, Qur’an recitation (tadarus) at particular moments, strengthening worship discipline, and infaq/charity practices aimed at fostering social care. These practices are sustained through four main mechanisms: habituation, teacher modeling, reinforcement, and monitoring. The study further reveals that PAI teachers play a strategic and multi-dimensional role as program planners, implementers and mentors, role models (uswah), motivators and moral counselors, and evaluators who monitor behavioral change and program continuity in coordination with homeroom teachers and the student affairs unit. Positive impacts are reflected in improved discipline, politeness, and increased participation of many students in religious activities. However, the effects are not evenly distributed due to differences in family support, peer influence, and students’ personal motivation, as well as structural constraints such as limited time and varying classroom commitment. This study implies that strengthening school religious culture requires consistent routines, strong teacher modeling, educational reinforcement, and systematic coordination across school units, alongside enhanced school–parent collaboration. These elements are crucial to ensure the sustainable internalization of religious values and the development of students’ religious character in early adolescence.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has had a significant impact in various sectors of life, including in the provision of public information. The importance of quick and easy access to information by the community is the main basis for the Muara Bengkal Ilir Village Head to utilize technology as an effective means of communication. To overcome these problems, we provide a solution to create a WordPress-based Muara Bengkal Ilir Village Office Profile website. The flow of implementing this service is a field study, problem identification, website creation, and testing. The main result of this service is a Muara Bengkal Ilir Village Office Profile Website as an official website in helping disseminate information on the Muara Bengkal Ilir Village Office Profile
