Abstract

Critical thinking and numeracy skills are important competencies for students facing challenges of the 21st century and era of industrial revolution 5.0. In mathematics learning, especially geometry, using Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions is a strategic approach to developing these abilities. This study analyzes students' critical thinking and numeracy skills through HOTS geometry questions, reviewed by learning styles and gender. The research uses a quantitative descriptive method with a purposive sample of 26 VIII-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Kota Bima. Results indicate that male students with visual learning styles achieved the highest scores in both skills. Visual learning styles were more effective in supporting numeracy skills, whereas auditory and kinesthetic styles supported critical thinking more effectively. ANOVA tests revealed significant differences in numeracy skills on the "making decisions" indicator by learning style (Sig. 0.047) and gender (Sig. 0.0291), and in critical thinking skills on the "inference" indicator by gender (Sig. 0.0265). In conclusion, learning styles and gender influence critical thinking and numeracy, with learning style having the more pronounced effect. Future research is needed to train students in answering HOTS questions to enhance both skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tentang supervisi kinerja guru dalam perspektif teori pendidikan modern. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yakni penelitian kajian pustaka dengan mengumpulkan, menganalisis, dan mensintesis literatur relevan dari buku, jurnal, prosiding, dan penelitian. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis isi untuk merumuskan pemahaman komprehensif supervisi kinerja guru dalam perspektif pendidikan modern. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa supervisi kinerja guru dalam perspektif pendidikan modern merupakan proses pembinaan yang menitikberatkan pada pendampingan, pemberdayaan, serta pengembangan kompetensi guru secara utuh. Pergeseran dari supervisi tradisional yang bersifat kontrol menuju supervisi modern yang partisipatif dan demokratis menegaskan bahwa fokus supervisi kini terletak pada peningkatan kualitas guru, baik dari aspek pedagogik, profesional, sosial, maupun kepribadian. Landasan teori pendidikan modern memperkuat praktik supervisi dengan kerangka konstruktivisme, humanisme, manajemen mutu, dan kepemimpinan transformasional. Keseluruhan teori tersebut menjadikan supervisi sebagai proses reflektif, kolaboratif, dan adaptif menghadapi tantangan pendidikan abad ke-21. Strategi supervisi modern seperti klinis, akademik, dan e-supervision terbukti memberi dampak positif terhadap profesionalisme guru, kualitas pembelajaran, serta pencapaian tujuan pendidikan nasional yang menyiapkan peserta didik unggul dan kompetitif

Abstract

Alternative energy sources are one of the materials in physics that are very close to their application in daily life. Awareness of the importance of understanding in the era of rapid technological progress in the concept of alternative energy sources needs to be built with learning that actively involves students, one of which is project-based learning. This study aims to analyze the needs of teachers in the implementation of team-based projects with the Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) approach on alternative energy source materials, in order to train students' creativity. The method used was a questionnaire and interview involving 38 physics teachers. The results show that teachers need learning that integrates team-based projects with the SETS approach because only 50% of teachers have used project-based learning on alternative energy sources. In addition, 89% of teachers face various obstacles in the implementation of project-based learning, including inadequate time allocation, low critical thinking of students, and poor teacher planning. Based on these findings, it is suggested that there is a need for more comprehensive teacher learning innovations and the preparation of more structured teaching modules. In addition, support from the school in terms of facilities and time management is needed to maximize the effectiveness of team-based project learning with the SETS approach. This effort is expected to improve the quality of learning and students' creativity in understanding alternative energy source materials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan profesionalisme guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kajian pustaka (library research) dengan metode pengumpulan data dari berbagai sumber tertulis, seperti buku, jurnal, artikel, maupun dokumen yang relevan. Metode ini dimaksudkan untuk menelaah teori, memperkuat landasan teoretis, memperluas wawasan, menemukan celah penelitian, serta menyusun sintesis informasi sebagai pijakan ilmiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profesionalisme guru PAI menjadi faktor kunci dalam menjawab dinamika pendidikan modern. Guru dituntut menguasai materi keagamaan, mengembangkan keterampilan pedagogik, dan mengintegrasikan literasi digital agar mampu memberikan pembelajaran agama yang adaptif, kontekstual, dan bermakna. Selain itu, pelatihan berkelanjutan serta kolaborasi antar pihak sangat diperlukan untuk mendukung inovasi guru. Disarankan agar lembaga pendidikan dan pemerintah memperkuat dukungan melalui pelatihan teknologi, penyediaan fasilitas, serta program pengembangan profesional yang berkesinambungan.

Abstract

Abstract: The low level of students' mathematical representation ability became the background of this study. The research aimed to analyse the effect of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by interactive PowerPoint media and Microsoft Excel on students' mathematical representation ability. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 40 eighth-grade students divided into an experimental group and a control group. The research instrument was a mathematical representation ability test that had been validated and proven reliable. Data were analysed using a t-test and N-Gain calculation. The results showed that the N-Gain score in the experimental class reached 0.82 (high category), while in the control class it was only 0.22 (low category). The difference was statistically significant (t = 20.316; p < 0.000). Thus, it can be concluded that integrating PowerPoint and Excel into the PBL model is effective in improving students' mathematical representation ability, particularly in presenting data in the form of graphs and tables. This research implies that a PBL model supported by digital media can serve as an innovative alternative for mathematics learning. Keywords: Problem Based Learning (PBL); Microsoft Excel; Mathematical Representation; Data Centralization; Quasi-Experiment

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of basic accounting training developed through the Community Accounting School approach for administrators of cooperatives, foundations, and community organizations at the grassroots level. The primary focus is to understand how this training contributes to improving accounting literacy, financial transparency, and institutional accountability. Research Design and Methodology: This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by critically examining findings from various relevant scientific articles, both national and international. The analytical framework is based on the Community of Practice (CoP) approach, which emphasizes the importance of collaborative and contextual learning within communities of practitioners. Findings and Discussion: The main findings indicate that accounting literacy in community organizations remains low, which has a negative impact on their financial management. Practical accounting training, such as cash recording and simple report preparation, has been proven to increase awareness of transparency and shape a culture of collective accountability. The social and participatory learning process strengthens the community's identity as an entity capable of managing its finances independently. Implications: This study provides practical contributions to local governments, educational institutions, and community empowerment agencies in developing more adaptive training programs based on local needs. The Community Accounting School model offered can be widely replicated to strengthen community institutional capacity sustainably.

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Game Math for Kids learning media in improving the numeracy skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 013 Rambah. The research employed an experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design involving 24 students as participants. The instrument used was a set of pretest and posttest assessments designed to measure students’ numeracy abilities before and after the treatment. Data analysis revealed an increase in the average score from 58.88 (pretest) to 74.04 (posttest). The paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. The calculated N-Gain score was 0.369, which falls into the moderate effectiveness category. Furthermore, the effect size measured by Cohen’s d was 2.06, indicatinga very large effect. Therefore, the use of Game Math for Kids is proven to be effective in significantly and meaningfully enhancing elementary school students’ numeracy skills. Keyword:GameMathfor Kids, numeracyskills, learning media, N-Gain, Cohen’s d.  Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas media pembelajaran GameMathfor Kids terhadap peningkatan kemampuan numerasi siswa kelas V SD Negeri 013 Rambah. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan skor rata-rata dari 58,88 pada pretest menjadi 74,04 pada posttest. Uji pairedsample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (< 0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest. Nilai N-Gain yang diperoleh sebesar 0,369 menunjukkan kategori efektivitas sedang. Sementara itu, perhitungan effectsize dengan menggunakan Cohen’s d menghasilkan nilai sebesar 2,06 yang termasuk kategori efek sangat besar. Dengan demikian, penggunaan GameMathfor Kids terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi siswa sekolah dasar secara signifikan dan bermakna.  Kata kunci:GameMathfor Kids, kemampuan numerasi, media pembelajaran, N-Gain, Cohen’s d.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the contribution of the integrated batik learning model of leadership projects to the competency development of students in the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) for Cultural Arts within the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. This model is designed to cultivate students' practical skills in managing art projects while embedding leadership within a cultural context. Employing a case study method with a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that integrating batik learning with leadership projects enhances students’ creativity, collaboration, and ability to manage artistic productions. Additionally, students demonstrate significant improvements in leadership capabilities, particularly in organizing and managing art-related projects. This learning model aligns with the core principles of the Independent Curriculum, which emphasize a project-based approach and character development. The study recommends further development to broaden the implementation of this model in the field of cultural arts education.

Abstract

This research is triggered by the low drawing skills of new students in the Department of Fine Arts Education at Unimed. Therefore, this study aims to develop a guided demonstration learning method with differentiation strategy in the Fine Arts Education Program. The approach used in this research is the Research and Development (R&D) method, utilizing the 4-D development model consisting of four main stages: defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. Data collection is carried out through questionnaire filling, observation, interviews, and sketch drawing assignments. Furthermore, samples are taken using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis is conducted using descriptive statistical analysis method with Likert scale. The research findings show that the average score of students' sketch drawing ability reaches 71.42%, categorized as "good" according to the sketch drawing assessment standards. Additionally, validation results by instructional design experts indicate that the guided demonstration learning method is "highly feasible" with a percentage of 88.63%. Therefore, it is concluded that this guided demonstration learning method with differentiation strategy is valid and suitable for enhancing students' sketch drawing abilities in the Fine Arts Education Program at Unimed, Class of 2022.Keywords: guided demonstration, differentiation strategies, sketchesAbstrakPenelitian ini dipicu oleh rendahnya kemampuan mahasiswa baru dalam menggambar sketsa di Jurusan Pendidikan Seni Rupa Unimed. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan metode pembelajaran demonstrasi terarah dengan strategi diferensiasi di Program Studi Pendidikan Seni Rupa. Pendekatan yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Research and Development (R&D), dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yang terdiri dari empat tahap utama: pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan(develop), dan penyebaran(disseminate). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pengisian angket, observasi, wawancara, dan tes penugasan menggambar sketsa. Selanjutnya, sampel diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode analisis statistik deskriptif menggunakan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji coba kemampuan menggambar sketsa mahasiswa mencapai nilai rata-rata 71,42%, dengan kategori "baik" dalam standar penilaian menggambar sketsa. Selain itu, hasil validasi oleh ahli desain pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran demonstrasi terarah "sangat layak" dengan presentase 88,63%. Abstract

This research is a development research that produces decorative learning media for North Sumatra based on educational comics as an appreciation of material in elementary arts and skills education courses. In the Fine Art and Skills Education course, students are not only required to be able to hone practical skills but also understand the contextual aspects of a work of art through art appreciation activities. Through this activity, students are invited to be able to understand the background of making a work, history and cultural anthropological relations so that students can gain concrete knowledge about works of art which will be a practicum assignment. The development model used is the 4D model which emphasizes the development of North Sumatra decorative learning media based on educational comics. At the definition (defining) stage, an analysis of the needs of fine arts learning media will be carried out, the susceptibility to North Sumatra's decorative styles, and planning for the packaging of learning media content. Based on the results of this analysis, a design (design) of North Sumatra decorative learning media was carried out as material for student appreciation. Once designed, it is followed by the development (development) stage by carrying out 3 main activities, namely: validity test, practicality test, and effectiveness test. Through the development of this learning media, it seems that students are more enthusiastic about understanding the textual and contextual aspects of a work of art. The educational values contained in a traditional ornament are of course a positive aspect for the formation of moral character and love for the nation's culture.Keywords: learning media, traditional ornaments, comics. AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang menghasilkan media pembelajaran ragam hias Sumatera Utara berbasis komik edukasi sebagai bahan apresiasi pada mata kuliah Pendidikan Seni Rupa Dan Keterampilan di Program Studi Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD). Pada mata kuliah Pendidikan Seni Rupa dan Keterampilan, mahasiswa tidak hanya dituntut untuk dapat mengasah kemampuan praktis tetapi juga memahami aspek kontekstual dari sebuah karya seni melalui kegiatan apresiasi seni. Melalui kegiatan ini mahasiswa diajak untuk dapat memahami latar belakang pembuatan suatu karya, sejarah dan hubungan antropologi budaya sehingga mahasiswa dapat memperoleh pengetahuan konkrit tentang karya seni yang akan menjadi tugas praktik. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4D yang menekankan pada pengembangan media pembelajaran ragam hias Sumatera Utara berbasis komik edukasi. Pada tahap pendefinisian akan dilakukan analisis kebutuhan media pembelajaran seni rupa, kerawanan ragam hias Sumatera Utara, dan perencanaan pengemasan konten media pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut dilakukan perancangan media pembelajaran ragam hias Sumatera Utara sebagai bahan apresiasi siswa. Setelah dirancang, dilanjutkan dengan tahap pengembangan dengan melakukan 3 kegiatan utama, yaitu: uji validitas, uji kepraktisan, dan uji keefektifan. Melalui pengembangan media pembelajaran ini, nampaknya siswa lebih antusias dalam memahami aspek tekstual dan kontekstual sebuah karya seni.
