Abstract

The study of hadith as a source of Islamic teachings after the Qur’an is an important part of Islamic studies in Indonesia, both in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and Islamic higher education. The study of hadith at these two Islamic educational institutions has a different style. Hadith studies in pesantren are more focused on understanding the content of text (matan) of hadith by studying the traditions contained in the books of Riyad al-Salihin, Sahih al-Bukhori, Sahih Muslim and other books. Meanwhile, the study of hadith in Islamic higher education has experienced rapid development by focusing on the study of methodological mastery, for example, sanad and matan research methodologies. The books that are used as references are also more varied, such as the book of the tarikh al-ruwat, al-jarh wa al-ta'dil, rijal al-hadith, and other contemporary hadith books. This study aims to comprehensively reveal the development of hadith studies in these two Islamic educational institutions. This type of research is field research (field research). The data were collected by conducting a direct search in the field through the methods of interview, observation, and documentation. The data collected were analyzed and presented in a qualitative descriptive manner using a phenomenological approach. The research found that the study of hadith in Islamic boarding schools and Islamic higher education had different tendencies. These two tendencies need to be mapped so that they can be used as a model in comprehensively studying the Prophet's hadith.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the methodology for understanding hadīth according to Yūsuf Qaraḍāwī. This study uses library research methods to analyze data. The primary data are Qaraḍāwī's work, while the secondary data are books and journal articles relevant to the topic of this study. The results of this study indicate that Qaraḍāwī offers eight steps to understanding hadīth, namely defining hadīth based on the Qur'ān, collecting hadīth thematically, compromising contradictory hadīths, identifying asbāb al-wurūd of the hadīth, distinguishing changing and unchanging means, differentiating between the literal and figurative language (majāz), recognizing the unseen and the real, and confirming the meaning of the words in the hadīth. Some points that must be avoided in interacting with ṣunnāh are the interpretation of the ignorant, the deviation of the extremes, and the manipulation of the heretics. Furthermore, the basic principles in interacting with ṣunnāh are examining the validity of hadīth based on the scientific principles established by hadīth experts, understanding the editorial hadīth properly according to the language instructions and the context of the hadīth, and ensuring that the matān of the hadīth does not conflict with the nāsh of the Qur'an or other hadīth with a more powerful position

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the status of hadiths that serve as the basis for the imposition of sanctions on individuals who convert from Islam to other beliefs (apostasy) and the views of Muslim scholars in understanding the legal messages behind hadiths on apostasy. This study addresses questions regarding the wording, transmission, and status of hadiths on apostasy, as well as how Muslim scholars define apostasy and interpret the legal messages of apostasy sanctions in the hadiths of the Prophet. The study utilizes the method of takhrij hadith with an analytical-descriptive approach. Both primary and secondary research data are gathered from various literary sources. The study finds that hadiths on the legal sanctions for apostasy have two forms of wording: "man baddala dinahu faqtuluhu - whoever changes his religion, kill him" and "la yahilllu damumriin muslimin illa tsalasin - no Muslim's blood is lawful except for three cases." Hadiths on apostasy sanctions fall into the category of ahad hadiths with a degree of authenticity (sahih). Furthermore, the study reveals the evolution of Muslim scholars' understanding of apostasy, wherein apostasy was initially understood solely as a departure from the Islamic faith (i'tiqad) but later came to be seen as a departure accompanied by enmity towards Islam. The scholars themselves are divided into two major groups in their interpretation of the position of hadiths on apostasy, namely the classical Muslim scholars who interpret it as a legal ruling that can be implemented against apostates. In contrast, contemporary Muslim scholars have started to criticize and reinterpret the status of these hadiths, emphasizing the need to reconsider the contextualized understanding of the legal message of apostasy sanctions. The significant contribution of this study lies in clarifying the status of hadiths on apostasy sanctions and illustrating the dynamic understanding of Muslim scholars regarding the implementation of these hadiths' messages

Abstract

Traders selling on pedestrian paths (sidewalks/pedestrians) are a common phenomenon that we can see in big cities, a phenomenon that is often found on pedestrian paths/sidewalks in Indonesia is the misuse of the function of pedestrian paths or sidewalks by street vendors. This phenomenon is also widely seen in the city of Medan, we can see this in public areas such as parks, fields, and including traditional markets. This study aims to determine the extent to which people's perceptions of the existence of traders who use the road or sidewalk or pedestrian and the impact on road users. The research method used is descriptive with a quantitative approach. (Hanifah 2018). Respondents in this study were the surrounding community, buyers and traders using purposive sampling. The results show the existence of traders who, on the one hand, have a positive impact on the traders themselves, namely creating jobs and contributing to local governments. However, on the other hand, the negative impact is causing congestion for motorists and inconvenience for pedestrians using sidewalks. While the responses from road users themselves, although they feel uncomfortable and safe using the sidewalks, they understand that the existence of traders is a humane thing in order to make ends meet. So that we can again deny that pedestrians and traders are something that cannot be separated. On the other hand, we also have to think about how to accommodate pedestrian rights in using public spaces that are safe and comfortable, but also by not ignoring the interests of the general public who also have the same rights in accessing public spaces safely and comfortably.

Abstract Background: The Patient Satisfaction Index at the Kendari City Hospital in 2020 was 82%, in this case the achievement of patient satisfaction based on the Community Satisfaction Index (IKM) at the Kendari City Hospital has not reached the IKM standard set by the Ministry of Health at 95%. The increasing number of outpatients, especially BPJS, does not mean there are no complaints. Patients make a huge contribution to hospital income. Based on an initial survey conducted at the Kendari City Regional Hospital, JKN patients generally complained about the health services they received, including the patient registration process, a long queue system, long waiting times for services, and no updated complaint handling feedback on display. Feedback on the complaint board is not optimal and less interesting so patients find it difficult to see the feedback. Objectives: To find out how JKN patient health service complaints are handled at the Kendari City Regional Hospital in terms of SOPs, Facilities and Infrastructure, and Availability of Personnel. Methods: Qualitative research using a Case Study approach using interview, observation and documentation data collection techniques involving informants, namely the Head of Complaints Subdivision, Deputy Director of Services, Complaints Staff and patients. Results: The results of the research show that the handling of health service complaints is carried out based on the SOP, namely the Kendari City Hospital Complaint Standards. The forms of facilities and infrastructure that support complaints handling at the Kendari City Hospital include a suggestion box, barcode scanning, WhatsApp, as well as complaints to the complaints unit and the SP4N LAPOR application for customer complaints. However, there are still several buildings that do not yet have suggestion boxes, because several suggestion boxes were damaged and suggestion boxes will be procured. Availability of complaints staff already exists. However, the complaints staff has a lot of work and the number of staff is not enough because of their desires and cannot control the complaints board which should contain feedback from patients who submit their complaints. Complaints staff have never been given training regarding handling complaints or anything similar from the Kendari City Regional Hospital. Conclusion: Handling of health service complaints at Kendari City Regional Hospital has been carried out based on Complaint Service Standards.
