Abstract

Unlike other crops, soybeans can be produced for both direct human consumption and industrial use. However, soybean production is highly sensitive to drought. This is because drought conditions can reduce photosynthesis and crop yield. This study aimed to investigate drought adaptations in soybean plants, including stomatal control, drought-induced carbon assimilation, and avoidance. The study was conducted in a greenhouse under controlled conditions using a split-plot design with 3 stress levels (100%, 50%, and 30% of field capacity), 4 varieties (Dering-1, Dering-2, Detap-1, and Argomulyo), and 2 stress periods (vegetative and generative). Strong variation in yield was observed across all drought-affected plant growth factors, including photosynthetic rate and grain yield. Under moderate stress conditions (achieving a 0.8 t/ha yield), the Detap-1 variety fully maintained photosynthetic capacity and appropriately modulated stomatal closure and stomatal regulation to achieve the most efficient water control. This leads to the conclusion that Detap-1 is best suited to the dryland conditions of the varieties studied due to its strong physiological adaptability.

Abstract

Landfills are a critical component of urban solid waste management systems; however, when inadequately managed, they may pose substantial risks to environmental quality and public health in surrounding communities. This study aimed to analyze environmental quality and public health risks in the vicinity of the Banjarbakula Landfill. A descriptive–analytic cross-sectional design was employed, integrating measurements of ambient air quality, groundwater quality, and soil quality at selected locations around the landfill with a community health survey. Risk analysis was conducted using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determining Control (HIRADC) method. The results indicated that concentrations of landfill gases and airborne particulates exceeded environmental quality standards, while groundwater and soil samples were contaminated with heavy metals, including lead, mercury, and cadmium. The community health survey revealed a high prevalence of respiratory disorders, skin diseases, and gastrointestinal disturbances, particularly among residents living closer to the landfill site. Risk assessment identified chemical and biological hazards as the dominant risks, classified as high risk. These findings demonstrate that the management of the Banjarbakula Landfill still requires significant improvements to reduce environmental degradation and public health risks. This study provides a scientific basis for strengthening policy implementation, enhancing landfill management technologies, and improving public health protection in communities surrounding landfill areas.

Abstract

Unemployment among college graduates in Indonesia is a crucial issue in the economic field, especially because the high number of graduate unemployment indicates an imbalance between the growth of the educated workforce and the needs of the labor market. This phenomenon can be caused by various factors, such as the mismatch of skills with industry needs, slow economic growth, and the imbalance between the number of graduates and available jobs. Therefore, this study aims to examine the economic factors that are the main causes of the high unemployment among college graduates in Indonesia using a literature study approach. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a library research approach, where data were collected from various academic literature, official reports, and relevant previous research. Data sources include scientific journals, books, reports from government agencies such as the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), and publications from international organizations. Data analysis was carried out by reviewing previous theories and findings to identify economic patterns and factors that contribute to the unemployment rate of college graduates. The results of this study are expected to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the root causes of unemployment among college graduates from an economic perspective. In addition, this study aims to provide recommendations based on theoretical studies for policy makers in designing strategies to improve the quality of the workforce and more effective economic policies to reduce the number of graduate unemployment in Indonesia.

Abstract

The limited resolution of 2D seismic data often limits the accuracy of subsurface interpretation. This study explores how deterministic inversion enhances the elastic representation of low-resolution intervals in Field X and contributes to more precise reservoir interpretation. By applying deterministic inversion, this study aims to improve the mapping of lithological variations throughout the interval. Petrophysical data show that the target zone contains porosity values of 11–22%, Gamma Ray readings of 10–120 API, and P-impedance values of 11022–15343. These parameters support well–seismic tying and model calibration. The inversion generates an acoustic impedance model that closely aligns with the log trends and shows a coherence error of only 6.23% within the target interval. Domains with increased permeability and reduced GR readings appear as subtle impedance irregularities, whereas more consolidated phases show higher impedance. The resulting impedance response captures geologically meaningful mid-range lithological variations, although limitations in seismic resolution still reduce the precision of stratigraphic delineation. Overall, the findings demonstrate that careful calibration with petrophysical datasets provides a consistent and quantifiable impedance framework, even in areas with limited seismic fidelity, thereby supporting more reliable reservoir interpretation.

Abstract

The Miocene carbonate buildup and fine-grained clastic sequence constitute the main reservoir and sealing intervals in the East Natuna Basin. This study characterizes the reservoirs of the Terumbu and Arang Formations using an integrated workflow that includes petrophysical analysis, sensitivity analysis, depth structure mapping, and model-based seismic inversion. Well-log interpretation shows clear lithological contrasts between the two formations. The Terumbu carbonates exhibit very low gamma-ray values (18 to 24 API) and high porosity, ranging from 28 to 37%, with neutron–density crossovers indicating gas-bearing intervals, particularly in the GADO-3 well, where resistivity values range from 852 to 1958 Ω·m. In contrast, the Arang Formation is characterized by high gamma-ray values (102 to 148 API), higher clay volume (30 to 44%), and low porosity (<10%). P-impedance–density cross-plots distinguish carbonate rocks (4,500 to 10,000 g/cc·m/s; 1.7 to 2.35 g/cc) from shale and shaly sand with higher impedance and density. Depth structure mapping reveals a central–northern structural high that is favorable for reef development and fault-related trapping. Model-based seismic inversion further reveals low-to-moderate impedance (4,100 to 6,156 g/cc·m/s), low density, and high inverted porosity within the Top Terumbu interval, indicating excellent reservoir quality. Overall, the results indicate that the Terumbu Formation forms the primary carbonate reservoir, while the Arang Formation mainly acts as an effective regional seal in the petroleum system of the East Natuna Basin

Abstract

This paper seeks to examine the key factors predicting the behavioral intentions of mobile investment app users. By understanding these influencing factors, the ultimate goal is to encourage more people to adopt and accept these apps. Adopting an integrated approach, the research combines different UTAUT2 (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2) constructs for hypothesis development and to evaluate the effects on users’ adoption and behavior use of such platforms. Through an online survey among 161 users of popular mobile investing applications in Indonesia and applying structural equation modeling for analysis with the SmartPLS statistical tool, this research contributes empirical evidence on factors that drive user behavior in the mobile investment domain. The final model provided a good basis for proving the hypotheses presented and the factors can account for 65.6% of the variability in mobile investment app behavior intention. The results show that Habit, Performance Expectancy, and Effort Expectancy are the key factors impacting individual behavioral intention to get mobile investment. These findings will assist researchers and professionals in understanding why individuals utilize mobile investment apps. More importantly, this study's recommendations will help utilize these aspects to enhance these apps’ benefits.

Abstract

Physics learning in the 21st century requires interactive, technology-enhanced instructional resources that support students' understanding of abstract concepts, particularly those related to the dynamics of motion. However, many augmented reality (AR)-based learning tools remain limited to standalone applications and are not adequately integrated into structured instructional materials, which may reduce their pedagogical value and classroom usability. Therefore, this study aimed to develop and evaluate an Augmented Reality Integration (ARI)-based physics textbook designed to improve the feasibility and user-friendliness of AR-supported learning materials in physics education. The study employed a development research approach based on the design thinking model, comprising five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The ARI textbook was developed by integrating textbook content, student worksheets, and marker-based augmented reality features into a unified learning resource on motion dynamics. Data were collected through literature review, observations, interviews, expert validation, and usability testing involving teachers and students. Feasibility was assessed using Gregory’s expert agreement analysis, while usability and user experience were evaluated using the System Usability Scale (SUS) and the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). The results showed that the developed textbook achieved a Gregory coefficient of 1.00 for both content and language, indicating a high level of feasibility for classroom use. The SUS results further indicated that the textbook was acceptable for learning, although differences were found between Grade X and Grade XII students in terms of ease of use and independence. In addition, the UEQ results demonstrated improvements across all users experience dimensions after iterative refinement, particularly in stimulation, attractiveness, and perspicuity. The novelty of this study lies in integrating augmented reality into a structured physics textbook, developed through a user-centered design thinking approach, rather than as a standalone application. In conclusion, the ARI-based textbook is feasible and user-friendly, and it contributes to physics education by providing an innovative, interactive, and pedagogically meaningful learning resource for visualizing abstract concepts.
