The introduction of New Student Admission Patterns (PMB) through Past Learning (RPL) is an innovative approach in the higher education system to improve the quality of student admissions. RPL recognizes the experience and knowledge gained from non-formal and informal education, thereby providing opportunities for individuals with diverse backgrounds to continue their studies. This activity was carried out by the Socialization Team of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Indragiri Islamic University (UNISI). The socialization was carried out at PP Nur Darissalam, Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The methods used are presentations, interactive discussions, and question and answer sessions. This service aims to analyze the effectiveness of RPL in the PMB process, as well as its impact on student academic success. The methods used include socialization and analysis of student admissions data. The results show that implementing RPL can increase the accessibility of higher education and encourage diversity among new students. In addition, RPL contributes to the development of students' soft skills and learning readiness. This research provides recommendations for educational institutions in optimizing student admissions through RPL so that they can create an inclusive and competitive learning environment.

Postcolonialism and postcolonial ecology are two concepts that emerge from their interconnectedness. Postcolonialism itself arises from the intersection of poststructuralist and neo-Marxist thought, while postcolonial ecology originates from the intersection of ecological studies (or ecocriticism) and postcolonial studies. The relationship between these fields further enriches the analysis of the complex socio-cultural dynamics present in today's society. This paper aims to contribute to the existing literature on postcolonial and ecological studies by introducing an ecological approach that also addresses the influence of colonial ideologies and practices from the past, which continue to have an impact today. The hope is that this literature review will heighten postcolonial awareness, particularly within the realm of ecological studies, and serve as a valuable analytical tool for understanding the impacts of climate change that have been increasingly discussed and studied in recent times.

The Micro Waqf Bank (BWM) initiative in Indonesia aims to expand financial inclusion for low-income communities, particularly around Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). By providing Sharia-compliant microfinancing, BWM supports micro-entrepreneurs who face barriers in accessing conventional banking services. However, the use of the term “waqf” in BWM's branding raises significant legal implications concerning Indonesia's waqf law. Traditionally, waqf assets are meant to be managed perpetually, with the principal maintained intact and only the benefits utilized. BWM’s rotational fund management system deviates from this concept, causing potential misunderstandings among the public about the legal status of waqf within BWM. This study utilizes a normative legal research method, examining statutes and regulatory frameworks to analyze BWM's compliance with waqf regulations. Key findings highlight that BWM operates under Sharia microfinance regulations but is not recognized as a waqf institution under Law Number 41 of 2004 on Waqf, leading to regulatory overlaps and legal ambiguity. The paper recommends harmonization between the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Ministry of Religious Affairs to clarify the regulatory status of BWM, ensuring legal certainty and public understanding of waqf and Sharia-compliant finance.

Nowdays students still face problems in improving their writing skills, including grammatical arrangements, lack of known vocabulary, use of inappropriate punctuation marks and setting capital letters in sentences. The purpose of this study was to analyze the improvement of students’ writing skills and respond to use of the Ginger Writer application. The subject of this study is students in class VIII of junior high school. In this study, the researcher used a writing test to see the students’ writing ability and distributed a questionnaire consisting of 16 statements in paper form. From the results of data analysis showed that the students’ writing ability increased. This is indicated by the mean score of pre-test is 52.84 and post test is 85.4. After calculating the t-test, the researcher found that (H0) was rejected and (H1) was accepted. This means that the Ginger Writer application was able to improve the ability to write descriptive texts of students. Then the results of the questionnaire also showed that most of the students gave positive responses after learning to use the Ginger Writer application in writing descriptive text.

Translation is an adjustment idea of one language to a different language equitably. In doing a translation, a translator needs to apply some methods to produce an acceptable translation. Plenty of researches on translation method have been administered. However, translation method research on a book's glossary is ostensibly still under-researched in translation studies. So that, to fill in this gap, this research aimed at figuring out and describing the methods of English-Indonesian translation used in the book's glossary “An Introduction: Theories of Learning 7th Edition Book”. This research exerted a qualitative method. The objects of this research were An Introduction: Theories of Learning 7th Edition Book and its Indonesian version Theories of Learning: Teori Pembelajaran Edisi ke-7 based on Newmark’s translation methods. The data was geared by documentation. Afterward, the researchers classified the data suited to the determined table of instrument as researchers' tools in data collection. Furthermore, after elaborating the data, researchers analyzed it descriptively. The result showed that there were five out of eight translation methods applied by the translator. Three of them are concentrated on source text comprising semantic translation, literal translation, and faithful translation. While two of those are concentrated on target text, namely free translation and communicative translation.

The issue of minorities and the majority of Muslims is still an issue in the midst of socio-religious relations in world society. Especially between Muslims and Western society. Misunderstandings often occur and even lead to hostility, because a balanced understanding has not yet been reached. Tariq Ramadan, as a scholar and Muslim citizen in the West, reminded Western citizens that they need to understand Islam. Likewise, Muslim citizens must also understand things that occur in the Western cultural system which is based on modernism, democracy and rationality. The prerequisite he offered was that, based on his interpretation of the reality of Muslims in the West, it was necessary to encourage attitudes and changes in views, that Islam could also live in the dimensions of modernity and democracy in coexistence in the West and proclaimed that Islam is a religion of love for humanity and peace.
