Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini merupakan fondasi utama dalam pembentukan karakter, yang berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan kepribadian anak pada jenjang pendidikan berikutnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan bentuk keterlibatan orang tua dalam pembentukan karakter tanggung jawab dan disiplin pada anak usia dini (2) mengetahui strategi sekolah dalam menjalin kerja sama dengan orang tua, dan Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi multi kasus yang dilaksanakan di TK Negeri Idaman dan TK Bina Putra. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan orang tua merupakan faktor penting dalam pembentukan karakter anak. Di kedua sekolah, kerja sama antara guru dan orang tua membentuk lingkungan belajar yang konsisten antara rumah dan sekolah. Nilai tanggung jawab dan disiplin anak berkembang melalui pembiasaan, keteladanan, serta komunikasi terbuka antara kedua pihak. Temuan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa sinergi sekolah dan keluarga merupakan kunci dalam membentuk karakter anak sejak dini, khususnya nilai tanggung jawab dan disiplin melalui pendekatan yang konsisten, teladan nyata, dan kolaboratif.

Abstract

The implementation of public policies often encounters many challenges due to a lack of coordination between sectors, a lack of technological access, and a limited policy learning process. This study used the Integrative Literature Review (ILR) approach. The aim of this study is to create a conceptual model of policy implementation by combining theoretical and empirical results from five reputable international journal articles discussing cross-sector public policies. This study was conducted in four systematic stages: (1) content analysis; (2) thematic mapping; (3) creating a conceptual model; and (4) contextual analysis of education policy issues related to deep learning in Indonesia. This study has novelty in integrative literature synthesis, resulting in the K4F (Key Four Factors Framework) model by comparing four main aspects, including leadership, collaboration, adaptive justice, and sustainable learning through framing elements as a binding element of values and policy direction. The K4F model showed that the success of a policy depends on the dynamic relationship between transformational leadership, collaboration, the social justice principle, and a sustainable policy learning system. This model not only broadens theoretical discourse regarding the understanding of adaptive governance and policy learning in education but also provides a practical contribution as a tool to assess the readiness and effectiveness of the implementation of policy in Indonesia related to learning using deep learning and artificial intelligence (AI) approaches.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the influence of transformational leadership of school principals, work climate, and work commitment on teacher performance in public elementary schools across Pulau Petak District. The research problem focuses on understanding how leadership and organizational factors influence teacher performance both directly and indirectly, with work commitment as a mediating factor, and the objective is to examine both direct and indirect effects among variables, highlighting the role of work commitment in mediating the relationship between leadership, work climate, and teacher performance. The research employed a quantitative approach using path analysis to test the hypotheses. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using regression tests and Sobel tests. The findings reveal that (1) transformational leadership, work climate, work commitment, and teacher performance are all in the good category; (2) transformational leadership, work climate, and work commitment have direct effects on teacher performance; (3) transformational leadership and work climate have direct effects on work commitment; and (4) transformational leadership and work climate indirectly affect teacher performance through work commitment. These results indicate that teacher performance is influenced not only directly by leadership and work climate but also indirectly through work commitment, emphasizing the importance of transformational leadership and a supportive work climate in strengthening teachers’ commitment and enhancing their performance.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the extent to which ice breaking activities are effective in improving learning motivation among elementary school students by reviewing findings from previous research. The method employed is a literature review, involving the selection and analysis of relevant research articles, academic reports, and publications from the past several years. The review indicates that ice breaking contributes to a more supportive classroom climate, enhances student engagement, and reduces fatigue during learning activities. Moreover, several studies highlight that structured implementation of ice breaking strengthens intrinsic motivation and improves students’ emotional readiness to absorb instructional content. These findings suggest that ice breaking can serve as a complementary strategy to support learning in elementary education.

Abstract

This article explores the application of deep learning principles to strengthen students’ mindfulness in instructional settings. The study addresses the problem of limited learner awareness and the dominance of surface-level learning in classroom practices. The purpose is to examine how conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and reflective engagement within deep learning can enhance students’ focused attention, emotional regulation, and conscious awareness. Using a literature review method, this article synthesizes theoretical perspectives and previous research to analyze the relationship between deep learning and mindfulness. The findings indicate that deep learning environments foster reflective thinking, intentional engagement, and meaningful knowledge integration, which collectively support the development of mindfulness skills. The review concludes that implementing deep learning principles can significantly improve both cognitive and affective aspects of learning, leading to more conscious and holistic learning experiences.

Abstract

Women’s leadership in education plays a crucial role in fostering inclusive, participatory, and sustainable school environments, particularly at the primary school level where relational and community-based approaches are essential. This study aims to explore how female principals in primary schools in Banjarmasin City exercise leadership in empowering school communities, identify the values, strategies, and approaches they employ, and examine the challenges and opportunities they encounter in their leadership practices. Employing a qualitative research design, this study collected data through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving two female principals from public primary schools in Banjarmasin. The findings reveal that female principals demonstrate empathetic, collaborative, and transformational leadership grounded in local socio-cultural values such as religiosity and kinship. Their leadership practices emphasize participatory decision-making, inclusive learning environments, and strong partnerships with teachers, parents, and the wider community. Despite facing structural and cultural challenges, including gender bias and role duality, the principals responded strategically by strengthening professional competence, fostering trust-based relationships, and utilizing community networks as sources of support. This study concludes that women’s leadership contributes significantly to empowering school communities and shaping positive school cultures. The findings highlight the importance of systemic support and leadership development programs to strengthen women’s leadership in primary education.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the effectiveness of a Workshop on School Quality Culture Development based on research findings on visionary leadership conducted in Barito Kuala Regency as part of a Community Service Program. The activity was implemented at SDN Sungai Seluang Pasar, involving one principal and nine teachers through preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. A participatory-collaborative approach was employed, including conceptual training, technical workshops, role play, and mentoring in developing action plans and quality evaluation instruments. The results indicated a 35% average increase in participants’ understanding based on pre-test and post-test scores. Furthermore, 90% of participants expressed readiness to implement the formulated action plans and established an internal quality assurance team. The workshop not only improved technical competencies in data-based planning and evaluation but also strengthened collective commitment to sustaining a quality culture. These findings demonstrate that integrating visionary leadership research into community service initiatives effectively supports the transformation of primary schools toward systematic and sustainable quality practices.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of gamification as an innovation in digital education and its impact on student learning engagement at the elementary school level. The method used was a literature review, which included an analysis of seven recent scientific articles related to gamification elements, motivation to learn, and student engagement in digital learning contexts. The analysis was conducted through identifying themes such as the use of points, badges, levels, challenges, leaderboards, avatars, and the use of digital media such as Quizizz, Wordwall, and interactive Canva. The review results indicate that gamification can consistently increase intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, active participation, concentration, and self-confidence in students. Learning becomes more enjoyable, interactive, and positively competitive, resulting in students being more responsive to instructions and engaged cognitively, emotionally, and socially. Furthermore, several studies have also shown improved learning outcomes after the implementation of gamification compared to traditional learning methods. These findings confirm that gamification is an effective and relevant pedagogical approach in this digital age and can be implemented as a sustainable learning strategy to improve the quality and engagement of students in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penurunan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi siswa sekolah dasar menjadi persoalan yang menghambat kualitas pembelajaran dan hasil belajar pada berbagai mata pelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana berkurangnya kegiatan pembiasaan disekolah dasar mempengaruhi kemampuan dasar siswa dalam memahami bacaan dan menyelesaikan soal berbasis konteks kehidupan nyata, serta implikasinya terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa. Penelitian kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus ini melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru kelas IV, dan siswa di SDN Mawar 7 Banjarmasin. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, serta analisis dokumen hasil pembelajaran untuk mendapatkan pemahaman terkait dinamika pembelajaran di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penurunan literasi dan numerasi dipengaruhi oleh berkurangnya kegiatan pembiasaan sekolah akibat adanya rehabilitasi dan relokasi ruang kelas, rendahnya motivasi belajar, serta perbedaan kemampuan individual siswa. Hal itu berdampak pada menurunnya hasil belajar siswa. Sekolah telah melakukan upaya melalui pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, evaluasi berkala, dan kolaborasi dengan orang tua. Penelitian ini berkonstribusi untuk memperjelas bahwa kegiatan pembiasaan literasi dan numerasi harus dijalankan secara konsisten dan kolaboratif melalui peran kepala sekolah, guru, dan orang tua untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran serta menghindari penurunan kemampuan dasar siswa di sekolah.

Abstract

Strategi guru dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VI pada pembelajaran IPAS berperan penting untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk menganalisis bagaimana strategi guru dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VI pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar, mengidentifikasi dampaknya terhadap siswa, tantangan yang di hadapi guru dan solusi dari tantangan tersebut. Kajian ini memakai pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus beserta sumber data  berupa observasi serta wawancara, analisis penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada kelas VI disekolah SDN Teluk Tiram 1 yang menerapkan pembelajaran IPAS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  bahwa guru menerapkan beberapa strategi, penggunaan media konkret, dan penguatan pemahaman melalui diskusi. Keberhasilan strategi sangat dipengaruhi dari kemampuan guru dalam mengajarkan materi IPAS dan kesiapan perangkat pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa tantangan muncul pada saat materi IPA dan IPS yang kadang tidak berhubungan serta kurangnya materi IPAS  pada buku siswa, akan tetapi dalam penelitian ini juga berisi solusi dari tantangan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi guru mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPAS, apabila direncanakan secara teratur. Temuan ini berpotensi memberikan kontribusi dalam mengembangkan praktik pembelajaran IPAS yang lebih efektif di sekolah dasar.
