Abstract

Abstrak Indonesia merupakan salah satu Negara dengan cadangan minyak yang besar. Namun produksi minyak Indonesia tidak dapat menutupi kebutuhan konsumsi BBM dalam negeri. Hal tersebut diperparah oleh aktifitas “kencing sembarangan”, yaitu upaya mengalirkan BBM dari truknya secara ilegal. Di beberapa kota, Pertamina telah menerapkan sistem GPS pada truk mereka. Namun pengawasan melalui GPS tersebut masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga tidak mungkin seluruh truk dapat diawasi secara maksimal. Oleh karena itu penulis merancang dan membuat suatu sistem berbasis modul GPRS, GPS, dan mikrokontroler yang memungkinkan pendeteksian secara otomatis dari upaya pencurian BBM oleh sopir truk tangki. Sistem ini mendeteksi upaya pencurian BBM dengan menempatkan sensor ultrasonik pada katup bottom loader sehingga upaya untuk melepas segel pada katup dapat dideteksi. Jika aksi pencurian terdeteksi, sistem akan menginstruksikan modul GPRS untuk mengirim SMS peringatan disertai koordinat lokasi pencuriannya pada depot Pertamina. Semua jenis mekanisme tersebut diprogram menggunakan bahasa pemrograman C. Dalam percobaan, prototipe telah berhasil mendeteksi terbukanya katup bottom loader dan mengirimkan SMS peringatan disertai koordinat lokasinya. Penerapan prototipe ini diharapkan dapat menekan kelangkaan BBM akibat aktifitas pencurian minyak dan berpotensi menyelamatkan Pertamina dan para pemilik SPBU dari kerugian finansial.   Kata Kunci: Mikrokontroler, Modul GPRS, GPS, Bahasa Pemrograman C.     Abstract Indonesia is one of the country with big crude oil reserve. But Indonesian oil production isn’t enough to cover internal fuel consumption. It’s exacerbated by “peeing” activity, the activity to drains the fuel from the truck illegaly. In big cities, Pertamina has applied GPS system. But the human resources to tracked each truck was still needed so the surveillance activity to all of the truck can’t be done maximumly. Therefore, we’re designing and making the GPRS, GPS, and microcontroller based system that enables system to automatically detects fuel theft attempts by the driver with the ultrasonic sensor on the bottom loader’s valve so it can detects the attempts to remove the seal. If “peeing” activity occured, microcontroller will instructs GPRS module to sending warning SMS which is included the coordinat of the fuel theft location to the Pertamina’s fuel terminal. That algorithm are programmed in C programming language.  On the trials, prototype has succeded to detecting the opened valve and sent warning SMS and the fuel theft coordinat. The application of this prototype is expected to reducing the fuel rarity that is because of fuel theft activity and potentially safe the Pertamina and owner of gas station from financial losses.   Keyword: Microcontroller, GPRS module, GPS, C programming language.

Abstract

Abstrak   Energi matahari merupakan salah satu energi  terbarukan. Matahari dapat memacarkan energi sebesar 3,86 x 1026 joule setiap detiknya. Sayangnya, energi matahari masih belum dimanfaatkan secara masal. Hal ini disebabkan karena harga panel surya yang masih terbilang cukup mahal dan efisiensinya yang masih rendah. Selain itu, kurangnya pemanfaatan energi matahari juga dikarenakan ketersediaan sumber energi lain yang masih melimpah dan menghasilkan jumlah energi yang lebih banyak. Dalam rangka mengoptimalkan penggunaan sebuah panel surya, salah satu caranya adalah dengan menambahkan sebuah sistem pengendali yang dapat mengatur posisi panel surya secara otomatis agar selalu mendapatkan nilai daya yang optimal dengan menggunakan metode kontrol self-tuning PID dengan jaringan syaraf tiruan model perceptron yang dilatih secara offline dan ditanamkan di dalam Mikrokontroler ATMega 8535. Sel surya tanpa sistem kendali mampu menghasilkan tegangan sebesar 15,66 V, arus listrik sebesar 0,49 A, daya sebesar 7,479 W, dan energi listrik sebesar 2581,0806 Watt menit atau 32.6453 Wh. Sedangkan sistem dengan kendali menghasilkan tegangan sebesar 15,98 V, arus listrik sebesar 0,57 A, daya sebesar 8,98 W dan energi yang dihasilkan sebesar 2709.6527 Watt menit atau 45.1609 Wh, sehingga sistem mempunyai kenaikan energi sebesar 4,981%. Hasil dari sistem ini adalah panel surya dapat mengikuti posisi matahari sehingga mendapatkan nilai tegangan, arus dan daya yang lebih besar dibandingkan denganpanel surya yang statis. Sun can emitting energy approximately 3,86 x 1026 joule every second. Unhappily, solar energy wasn’t utilize a mass. It’s caused by solar cell’s price are still relative expensive and its efficiency still low. Besides, insufficiently harnessed of solar energy also caused of other energy source accessibility that stills abundant and resulting total more energy a lot of. In order to optimize purpose a solar cell, one of the ways it is by add a control system that can manage solar pane position automatically that always get optimal energy point by use of self-tuning PID with perceptron neural network that imbedded in Microcontroller ATMega 8535. The solar cell without control system can result voltage as big as 15,66V, electric current 0,49A, electricity power 7,479W, and electricity energy 2709.6527 Watt Minutes or 154,8648 KWh. Meanwhile system that using controller result voltage as big as 15,98V, electric current 0,57A, electricity power 8,98W and electricity energy 2709.6527 Watt Minutes or 162,579 Kwh, so the system efficiency was increased by 4,981%. Abstract

Abstrak   Salah satu bagian terpenting pada produksi adalah sistem penyortiran. Parameter sistem penyortiran ada yang berdasarkan warna, bahan, bentuk, ukuran, dan lain lain. Pada umumnya sistem sortir dilakukan secara manual oleh tenaga manusia. Akan tetapi ada beberapa kerugian jika dilakukan secara manual antara lain memerlukan biaya upah tenaga kerja, harus menggunakan sistem shift, rentan terjadi human error. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada maka diperlukan suatu sistem yang dapat berjalan secara otomatis. Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan pembuatan prototype konveyor pemisah barang berdasarkan warna menggunakan sensor DT-Sense color dengan kontroler Atmega 16 dan PLC Omron CPM1-A. Pengendalian dapat dilakukan secara manual menggunakan push button ataupun secara digital melalui menu pada tampilan HMI (Human Machine interface). Masukan sistem adalah sensor DT-Sense color, sensor photodioda-led, push button, dan relay DC. Keluarannya adalah aktuator DVD, aktuator pneumatik, relay DC, dan  LCD. Barang yang akan dipisahkan berupa kotak ukuran  8cm x 5cm  x5 cm dengan 5 jenis warna, yaitu  merah, hijau, biru, putih dan hitam. Dari pengujian yang dilakukan prototype sudah mampu mengenali dan melakukan proses sortir pada 5 jenis barang yang berbeda. Tingkat keberhasilannya adalah sebesar 84%. Dengan demikian, semoga penelitian ini bisa digunakan sebagai salah satu rujukan dalam pengembangan sistem sortir barang otomatis.   Kata kunci: konveyor, sortir, PLC Omron CPM1A, Atmega 16, sensor warna.     Abstract One of the most important part of the production is sorting systems. There are many parameters of sorting system such as based on color, material, shape, size, and others. It is generally done manually by human. However, there are some disadvantages if done manually. We need a system that can run automatically to overcome the problems.This final project purpose is to design a conveyor separator items by color using DT-Sense sensor  with Atmega 16 and Omron PLC CPM1-A. Control of the prototype can be done using the push button or via HMI.  Input of the system are DT-Sense color sensor, photodioda-LED sensor, Push button, and DC relay. The output are DVD, pneumatic, DC relay, and  LCD. The items to be separated is a box with 8 cm x 5 cm x 5 cm.  5 kinds of colors are red, green, blue, white and black. The testing shows that the  system have been able to identify and sort five different types of goods. The succes rate of equipment separating the goods based of color is 84 %. As a conclution, I hope the result of this research can be used as a reference in the development of an automatic sorting system.   Keywords: Conveyor,sorting system, PLC Omron CPM1A, ATmega, colour sensor.

Abstract

Indonesia is one kind of country which has wet tropical climate (humid tropic). The character has always high volume of rains. The average for each year in Indonesia isn’t in the same portion. But there still much more, an average 2000–3000 mm/year. And also between one and the other places have different rain rates. Areas which have rain rate less than 1000 mm, coverage of 0,6% from Indonesian territory, There are South east of Nusa, and 2 areas in Sulawesi (Palu valley and Luwuk). And some areas which have rain rates between 1000 – 2000 mm in a year there are some part of South east of Nusa, a little part of Merauke, Aru Archipelago and Tanibar. The areas which have rain rates between 2000 – 3000 mm per year, coverage East Sumatra, South Kalimantan, East part of West Java and Central Java, and some part of Irian Jaya, maluku Archipelago and some of Sulawesi. The area which has the most portion of rain 3000 mm per year is high land of West Sumatra, Central Kalimantan, and central plateau of Papua, more areas in Java, Bali, Lombok, and Sumba. Since this conditions, needed to improve a tools to detect total of rain rate prototype, so rain rate data in one place could be known quickly. This is so meanly to give advantage, for example to anticipate or warn from flood disaster or even landslide. In this research designed hardware to detect rain rate automatically using tipping bucket rain rate sensor. This sensor employed based on signal pulse caused of tipping moving from the rain which called click. Once click produce one pulse feed up to microcontroller to be recorded. Once click shows the number of flow rains 5,5 mm. Total flow rains recorded and accumulated from 06.00 until 17.00 and from 17.00 until 06.00. This result saved in its memory to an exact time suitable with memory capacity which still available in microcontroller. Keywords: rain rate detector, tipping bucket

Abstract

Recently, the electronic field develop rapidly especially in creating robotic. Many competitions have conducted to compare technology, from hobbies until robotic industries are never bored to talk. Industrially, automotive robotic needed in order to make the work more efficient, then it save cost of a production. Automotive robotic used also in entering dangerous area, that there is unable to handle by human for safety reason.In this paper, there are two automotive robotic that created, which able to follow line and stop when it detects any obstruction at front side. This robotic designed by Microcontroller AT89551, ultrasonic sensor as obstruction detector and  it also have four infrared and photodiode sensors as line detector which through by feet. Automotive robotic will run following designed line, if there is any obstruction then it will stop as long as those obstructions are there and it run again if the ultrasonic sensor do not detect obstruction anymore. By regulating PWM signal (Pulse Width Modulation) from microcontroller, then the automotive robotic can walk straightly, turn and will stop if there are any obstruction detected.From the experiment and test  which performed, robot is able to pass the turn with 60 cm of diameter, while  for movement fork  it is only perform straightly and stopped, exactly if robot finding the obstruction it can stoped in the distance 40 cm. It shows that there is lack of sensor, which used in designing, then for particular fork, robotic is only able to stop and walk straightly.Keywords: Microcontroller AT89S51, Lines Follower, Obstruction Detector

Abstract

The higher the risk of poisoning for passive and active smokers if they smoked in a closed room. More than 4,000 chemicals and carcinogens contained in cigarettes would be more dangerous as cigarette smoke trapped in confined spaces. Poisons can enter the body in the maximum amount and in a short time. Leaving the window open space will not solve the problem. Cigarette smoke is often blew back into the room and continue to stay in the room for hours. In this final project, designed a special room to smoke a smart, using a special ventilator that will absorb the smoke of ciagrette combustion. Ventilator will do the absorption of gases from burning cigarettes based on the many levels of CO gas in the room. Control is performed by the microcontroller ATmega 8535 using Proportional Control method based on carbon monoxide gas sensor MQ7. Abstract

Abstrak   Virgin Coconut Oil merupakan produk turunan dari kelapa yang memiliki nilai ekonomi yang sangat tinggi. Salah satu yang mempengaruhi kualitas produk VCO adalah pada proses pengemasannya.Secaraumum, proses pengemasanterdiriatas proses pengisiandan proses penutupanbotol. DalamkegiatanindustrisaatinitelahdigunakanPLC sebagai sebuah kontroller untuk menjalankan semua prosesproduksikarenaefektivitasnyadibandingkandenganrangkaian relay yang dijumpai pada sistem kontrol proses konvensional. Konveyormerupakansuatu alat  mekanik yang mempunyai fungsi memindahkan barang dari satu tempat ke tempat yang lain. Penggunaanperangkatkonveyordapatmempercepatdistribusidalam proses produksi. Padapenelitianini, dilakukanperancangansistempengemasan VCO padasebuahbotol yang dijalankanpada belt konveyor yang dikontrololeh PLC OMRON CPM1A. Proses pengisiandidasarkanpadafungsi timer dengankontrol level menggunakan sensor float level switch. Sementaraitu proses penutupanbotolmenggunakanmekanika magnetic switch untuktutupbotoltipe plug. Dari hasilpengujiandidapatkantingkat error sebesar 0,67% untuk proses pengisian VCO dengan set point volume 100 ml selama 53,2 detik. Padapengujian proses penutupanbotol, sebanyak 15 buahbotoldapattertutuprapatdengantingkatkeberhasilan 100%.   Kata kunci: VCO, PLC, konveyor, kontrol level     Abstract Virgin Coconut Oil is one of coconut product which has high economical value. The packaging of VCO will influence the quality of the product. Generally, the packaging process consists of filling process and capping process. Today, Many industrial activities have been used PLC as a controller to organize all of production process since its effectiveness comparing with relay circuit of conventional process control. Conveyor is a mechanical tool which has function to move goods from one place to another. This hardware can speed up the distribution on production process. In this research, created a VCO packaging system in a bottle that is run on belt conveyor which is controlled by PLC OMRON CPM1A. Filling process is based on timer function with level control using float level switch censor. Meanwhile, the capping process uses magnetic switch mechanics for cap-type plug. The result of experiment is obtained error rate of 0.67% for filling process with volume set point 100 ml for 53,2 seconds. On capping process experiment, 15 pieces bottle can be sealed with a success rate of 100%.   Keywords: VCO, PLC, conveyor, level control

Abstract

Pengolahan pakan ternak, pemerahan dan pengolahan susu secara otomatis mulai banyak diterapkan di Indonesia. Namun, teknologi pemberian pakan pada sapi masih kurang penerapannya, padahal pemberian makan secara tepat dan efisien dapat meningkatkan faktor produksi dan nilai ekonomi. Penelitian yang dilakukan sebelumnya, waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk pemberian pakan dapat dikurangi 70-80% dengan menerapkan Automatic Livestock Feeding (pemberian makan secara otomatis), namun penggunaan sistem yang masih mekanis membutuhkan adanya campur tangan dari operator untuk menjalankan sistem sehingga perlu dirancang sistem yang dapat meminimalisir campur tangan manusia. Penelitian ini dirancang sistem otomatisasi pada prototype plant Auto Cowfeeder Machine berbasis Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) OMRON CPM1A dan Mikrokontroler ATMega 8 yang dapat menyalurkan pakan secara otomatis dengan berat dan waktu yang ditentukan. Prototype plant Auto Cowfeeder Machine terdiri dari konveyor, timbangan, slider, dan storage yang digunakan untuk menyalurkan pakan pada kandang. PLC digunakan sebagai kontroler utama sedangkan mikrokontroler digunakan sebagai pembaca sensor berat (loadcell) dan sensor (level) HC-SR04 yang nantinya menjadi input PLC. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sistem otomatisasi penyaluran pakan yang sudah dapat diterapkan pada plant Pengujian keseluruhan ketika plant dijalankan secara otomatis dengan berat pilihan sebesar 40 gram didapat rata-rata pakan yang masuk pada kandang sebesar  41,35 gram atau error sebesar 1,35 gram.

Abstract

Abstrak   Korban hilang dihutan perlu segera diselamatkan karena kita tidak tahu apa yang akan terjadi dengan korban hilang tersebut. Medan hutan yang sulit ditebak, korban hilang bisa jatuh kedalam jurang atau korban hilang terancam oleh hewan buas. Selain itu, pencarian korban melalui darat yang kurang cepat merupakan suatu kendala. Medan hutan yang naik turun bukit dan penuh dengan semak membuat perjalanan menjadi terhambat. Pemantauan udara merupakan hal yang bisa dilakukan untuk mempercepat pencarian korban hilang karena tidak terganggu oleh medan di hutan. Dengan membuat Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) yang dilengkapi dengan kamera, bisa dilakukan pencarian korban melalui udara dan bisa didapatkan lokasi tempat hilangnya korban tersebut. Dilakukan uji coba terhadap Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) ini dalam hal uji terbang. Dari pengujian terbang didapatkan gambar melalui udara yang bertujuan untuk memantau korbang hilang dari udara. Dari pengujian range transmisi didapatkan hasil bahwa Radio DJT mampu mengontrol pesawat sejauh 0.85km didarat maupun diudara. Sedangkan Avsender Boscam mampu mentransmisikan gambar sejauh 0.9km didarat dan hanya 0.4km diudara.   Kata kunci : Korban hilang, UAV, kamera     Abstract   The people lost in the forest need to be saved because we do not know what will happen with them. Forest terrain that is difficult to guess, the survivors can fall into the abyss or they are threatened by wild animals. In addition, the search for survivors through the ground fast enough is an obstacle. Forest terrain up and down hills and filled with shrubs make the trip to be blocked.  Air monitoring is things you can do to speed the search for survivors is lost because it is not disturbed by the terrain in the forest. By creating an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) equipped with a camera, could search the survivors through the air and can be found the location of the survivors. Conduct tests on Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) in terms of flight test and range test transmission. On flight test, we get surveillance’s video from the air by the UAV that is used to find survivors in the forest. On range test transmission, Radio DJT able to control the UAV when it is on land and in the air as far 0.85km. While AVsender Boscam capable of transmitting images only as far as 0.9km when the UAV on land and 0.4km when the UAV in the air.   Keywords : Survivors, UAV, camera

Abstract

Nowadays technology development has influence in our daily life, in all aspects, especially in industry. In industry the need of good control system could support the operational and increase the production efficiency. For example industrial automation for filling and releasing the liquid to or from the tank. There is a problem we don’t know the liquid in the tank is full or empty, say someone must look inside the tank or measure the liquid volume manually. This is not so practical according to time inefficiency and inaccurate manual measurement, cause decreasing performance of the next process. In this research we develop a measurement device, a prototype of automatic liquid volume meter based on microcontroller using PING ultrasonic sensor. By design this is more accurate than manual. This device has ability to measure the different liquid tank as long as it is a cylinder tank type. The measuring step is , first, measuring the liquid level and then calculating the liquid volume based on cylinder volume formula. Finally the result (the liquid volume) can be read in the small 2-rows monitor or LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). Keywords: liquid volume meter, ultrasonic sensor PING, level sensor, microcontroller
