Abstract

Literacy is a fundamental skill in education, encompassing not only reading and writing but also critical thinking, analysis, and deep comprehension of information. At Al-Amien University (UNIA) Prenduan, the Student Activity Unit (UKM) AJMI serves as a platform for female students passionate about writing and journalism. Despite high enthusiasm for this organization, the development of students' literacy competencies remains suboptimal. This study aims to analyze the role of UKM AJMI in enhancing female students' literacy skills and identify the challenges hindering its implementation. Adopting a descriptive qualitative approach and Edward III’s policy implementation theory, the study evaluates four key factors: communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation involving UKM AJMI administrators and members. Findings reveal that UKM AJMI has initiated programs such as journalism training, book discussions, publication opportunities, and digital literacy workshops to bolster students' literacy. However, implementation faces obstacles, including poor internal coordination, limited resources (funding and access to reading materials), low member discipline and participation, and difficulties in forging external partnerships. To address these issues, the study recommends strengthening organizational coordination, optimizing resource allocation, and expanding collaboration with external institutions to foster more effective literacy development. This research serves as a valuable reference for designing university-level literacy programs and encourages further studies in this field.

Abstract

School administration and management are strategic components in supporting the quality of primary education. However, many primary schools in Indonesia still face various obstacles in administration and management, ranging from weak documentation to ineffective leadership. These problems have a direct impact on operational efficiency and the quality of education services. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through semi-structured interviews, non-participatory observation and documentation studies. The research locations included several public and private primary schools in Medan City, with the main informants consisting of principals, teachers and administrative staff. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Saldana which includes data reduction, data presentation, and thematic conclusion drawing. The results showed that the main obstacle in school administration lies in the use of manual systems that hinder accuracy and efficiency. On the other hand, principals' managerial competencies are still limited, especially in strategic planning and data-based decision making. The low utilization of information technology and weak internal coordination also worsen the effectiveness of school governance. These problems are systemic and interrelated. The study concludes that primary school administration and management reform needs to be integrated, emphasizing human resource training, system digitalization and cross-role collaboration. The findings make a theoretical contribution to the development of data- and practice-based school management models and are relevant as a policy basis for improving the quality of primary education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Perkembangan iklan yang semakin kreatif menjadi tantangan bagi pemasar menciptakan strategi baru untuk menjangkau khalayak luas. Dalam komunikasi pemasaran, strategi penempatan produk banyak digunakan oleh pemasar untuk meningkatkan merek atau produk. Namun, permen Kopiko sebagai produk lokal Indonesia melakukan strategi baru dengan cara penempatan produk dalam drama Korea Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha. Kemunculannya menjadi sorotan penggemar drama Korea, maka tak heran berdampak pada brand image Kopiko. Penelitian ini berfokus untuk mengetahui bagaimana aktivitas penempatan produk yang dilakukan permen Kopiko dalam drama Korea Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha pada brand image Kopiko di benak penonton. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kuantitatif dengan jenis eksplanatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan quota sampling sebanyak 100 orang yang merupakan followers Instagram @wowkdrama.id yang menonton di Netflix, yang memiliki temuan bahwa mayoritas responden yaitu perempuan dalam usia 18-25 tahun yang berstatus sebagai mahasiswi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi pemasaran dalam penempatan produk iklan Kopiko berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap brand image Kopiko serta memiliki hubungan yang kuat. Sebesar 49% performa penempatan produk memiliki pengaruh terhadap peningkatan brand image Kopiko.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Qur'anic and Hadith education on the formation of Islamic culture in the historical trajectory. By using a qualitative approach and literature study, this study traces how the values of revelation were internalized through the educational process since the time of the Prophet Muhammad until the development of Islamic educational institutions such as madrasah and pesantren. The research approach used is qualitative with a library research method. This means that this research relies entirely on existing data and does not involve data collection in the field. The data collection technique is done through documentation, namely identifying, reviewing, and analyzing various relevant literatures. The main data sources include books of Qur'anic commentaries, Hadith commentaries, books on Islamic history, works on Islamic civilization, scientific journals, and research articles related to Islamic education, the Qur'an, Hadith, and Islamic culture. The data analysis technique applied is content analysis with a descriptive-interpretative approach. The collected data are classified, organized, and then interpreted to find patterns, themes, and causal relationships between Qur'anic and Hadith education and the characteristics of Islamic culture. Qur'anic and Hadith education not only creates religious understanding, but also shapes the culture of knowledge, social morality, and artistic expression that is unique to Islamic society. The culture of calligraphy, mosque architecture, and Islamic literature are tangible manifestations of the influence of Islamic education on the lives of the people. The results show that Islamic education plays an important role in building a civilization rooted in spiritual and intellectual values. In the modern era, these values remain relevant as a solution to global challenges, such as identity crisis and moral degradation. Thus, Qur'anic and Hadith education needs to be continuously revitalized so that Islamic culture can develop contextually and sustainably. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Islam, Al-Qur’an, Hadis, Kebudayaan Islam, Nilai-Nilai.

Abstract

This study aims to describe in depth the procedures for planning, implementing, and evaluating classroom management strategies, as well as the challenges and outcomes that arise from their implementation. The data collection process was carried out primarily through interviews with classroom teachers and direct observation of classroom management. After the data were collected, qualitative analysis of the existing instruments was carried out. The findings of this study indicate that the elementary school teachers surveyed were successful in planning, implementing, and evaluating their classroom management strategies well. They were also able to effectively address the challenges that arose. The implementation of these strategies had a positive impact on improving the quality of student learning, teacher professionalism, and the physical condition of the school environment. Effective classroom management is an important element in creating a comfortable, enjoyable, and productive learning environment. At the elementary school level, students are at various stages of development, so the approach used must be tailored to their needs. Effective teaching requires the implementation of various strategies that support each other. By building rapport with students, setting clear rules, and creating an engaging and supportive learning environment, teachers can help students reach their full potential. Therefore, it is essential for teachers to continue to develop themselves and adapt to changes in the classroom.

Abstract

The development of information technology provides a great opportunity for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to market their products digitally, including in the agricultural sector. However, there are still many agricultural MSME actors who have not utilized this technology optimally. This research aims to build a webbased information system called TaniMarket, which can be used as a means of marketing agricultural products by MSME actors. Application development is carried out using the Waterfall method, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The application is built using PHP programming language version 8.1, the CodeIgniter 4 framework, and the MySQL database. This system consists of two main roles, namely admin and user. Admins have full access to product and category management features, including adding, modifying, and deleting data, as well as uploading images and order information. Meanwhile, users can view a list of products by category and place orders directly through the WhatsApp button that has been provided with automatic messages. The results of the system test show that all features run according to the design that has been determined. The TaniMarket application is considered to be able to provide convenience for MSME actors in marketing their garden products more widely and efficiently. With a simple and responsive interface, this system also supports users in accessing product information quickly and practically. Overall, this application is an effective digital solution in supporting the increase in the competitiveness of agricultural MSMEs in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to improve elementary school students' paragraph writing skills through the application of the Pair Check cooperative learning model supported by YouTube media, images, and picture cards. Paragraph writing skills are an important aspect in learning Indonesian, but students often have difficulty in developing ideas coherently and interestingly. This study uses a Classroom Action Approach (CAR) which is implemented in two cycles, with elementary school students as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, written tests, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Pair Check model facilitates cooperation between students and facilitates the process of correcting each other's work results. The use of YouTube media provides concrete examples of paragraph structure, while images and picture cards help students develop ideas visually and contextually. There was a significant increase in the quality and number of paragraphs written by students in each cycle. Thus, this learning strategy has proven effective in improving elementary school students' paragraph writing skills.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the implementation of peer tutoring-based cooperative learning. The research employs classroom action research with a total of 27 students involved in two cycles of learning. The cooperative model applied uses the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) type. Each cycle consists of three meetings and one final test at the end of the cycle. The results indicate that in the first cycle, the percentage of students achieving mastery in learning outcomes was 59.26%, which significantly increased to 100% in the second cycle. The research process involves stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection to ensure smoothness and effectiveness in implementing the teaching method. Overall, this study concludes that peer tutoring-based cooperative learning can be effectively applied to enhance student performance and suggests continuing similar research in different contexts regarding materials and educational levels to broaden the generalization of results.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of Eco-Friendly Practices (EFP) implementation in Indonesian coffee shops on green image, brand attachment, brand advocacy, and brand loyalty among Generation Z. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a survey of 110 Generation Z respondents visiting environmentally friendly coffee shops. The findings reveal that EFP significantly influences green image and brand attachment. Furthermore, brand attachment positively affects brand advocacy and loyalty. These results emphasize the importance of EFP as a sustainable business strategy that not only supports environmental preservation but also strengthens consumers' emotional connection and loyalty to the brand. This research is expected to serve as a reference for café owners in formulating environmentally friendly business strategies to attract younger consumers.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has initiated whistleblowing in 2018, but it can only be implemented in 2021, after previously in early 2021 a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the corruption eradication commission was carried out. The whistleblowing system is an effective way to tackle fraud through empowering whistleblowers. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of ethical decision making, moral intensity, religiosity, and materiality level on the intention to undertake whistleblowing. This research is experimental based, while the respondents consist of accounting students at all universities in Indonesia, both State Universities (PTN) and Private Universities (PTS). This research was conducted by giving a case regarding whistleblowing to students, then the student answered several statements related to the given case. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires in the form of Google Forms, which were distributed online through social media. Data analysis was performed using SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling – Partial Least Square). The results showed that the influence of ethical decision making, moral intensity, religiosity had a positive and significant effect on whistleblowing intentions.
