USAGE OF AUGMENTED REALITY TECHNOLOGY AS AN INTRODUCTION MEDIA OF ALPHABET LETTERS FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD
Today, many parents begin to teach their children to early read at home or to educate them at kindergarten school that teaching them to read. The appropriate method of early childhood education are learning while playing. There is no overload and force in this method. Implementation of augmented reality as an introduction media can help children to read happily by scanning the marker that contain of letter or syllables use camera in android software. Animation video, pronunciation audio and 3D animal will appear later in accordance with the letter or syllables and picture in scanned marker. This design then is implemented in an application of android system. The test of this application was done with both of mitra from Lab School Permata UHAMKA and Baitul Ulum Al Isfahani Manfaluthi attended by teachers and the parents of student guardians. The participant tried to use the application directly and give the feedback how far the application could help the process of learning. Based on evaluation result, this application could help teacher and the parents of guardian student to practice the alphabet learning model fun and happily for student and children.

Handphone sebagai penunjang bisnis ojek on line tidak bisa kehabisan daya, sehingga dibutuhkan suatu pembangkit listrik yang bisa mengisi baterai tanpa harus berhenti terlebih dahulu. Metode yang dilakukan adalah merancang prototype pembangkit listrik tenaga panas pada knalpot yang merubah energi panas pada knalpot sepeda motor menjadi energi listrik. Apakah tegangan keluaran dari peltier bisa mencapai 2-3 volt. Mana yang lebih stabil antara menggunakan 1 peltier atau 2 peltier. Metode yang dilakukan adalah mengukur tegangan output pada 1 peltier dan tegangan keluaran 2 peltier yang dirangkai seri. Pengujian dilakukan pada perancangan pembangkit listrik tenaga panas saat knalpot motor yang dinyalakan selama 60 menit dengan mengukur tegangan output peltier dan modul chnager. Tegangan yang dihasilkan pada peltier saat menggunakan 1 peltier dan pada saat tegangan keluaran 2 peltier dirangkai seri > 2 volt yaitu 2.05 Volt dan 2.46 Volt. Tegangan keluaran pada 2 peltier yang dirangkai seri > 1 peltier tetapi pada modul charger tegangan yang dihasilkan lebih stabil pada saat menggunakan 1 peltier dari pada 2 peltier.

Penggunaan chiller sebagai pendingin ruangan sudah banyak digunakan di perkantoran maupun industri. Belum adanya automatisasi pada alat pendingin menyebabkan muncul kendala suhu yang dihasilkan pendingin masih naik turun tergantung keadaan cuaca. Selain itu jumlah chiller yang digunakan juga tidak bisa dikontrol sehingga kalori yang digunakan menjadi maksimal yang menyebabkan pemakaian listrik menjadi besar juga. Perancangan sequenching chiller menggunakan PLC ini, bertujuan agar suhu yang dihasilkan oleh sequencing chiller stabil pada 27oC dan energy yang digunakan berkurang hingga 50%. Hasil pengujian dari perancangan bahwa setelah menggunakan PLC suhu dalam ruang dapat dikontrol stabil pada 27 derajat celcius.Dari 3 chiller yang tersedia pada mesin pendingin dengan PLC bisa dikontrol jumlah yang dipakai sehingga dapat menghemat 50% energy listrik yang digunakan.

Prostitution practice has hitherto been a niche part of modern civilization whereby Indonesia is no exception. As prostitution is commonly perceived as a ragtag phenomenon which would stain the existing moral norms and social dignity, it is certain that there is an obligation by the government to control and regulate such practice. However, the regulation upon prostitution must be taking considerations, in respect of anti-discrimination, equality, and humanistic treatments towards the prostitutes into account. Yet, it is often, if not always, that this presumption has been taken for granted and instead such regulation can be draconian towards sex-workers. This article explores such a problem in the case of Indonesia’s new Criminal Code Bill –which ought to replace the existing Criminal Code-. The new Criminal Code Bill –which currently is undergoing a seemingly hasty legislation process in the House of Representatives- possess such draconian law potential on this regard due to its adultery provision which has been broadened to the extent of possible penalization against sexual acts by unmarried pairs. This article presents an analysis on the possible implication of Criminal Code Bill –specifically the adultery part thereof- upon sex workers through socio-legal method whereby the combination of normative legal approach and social research method are applied. This article contends that such broadly defined adultery provision can lead to an unjust penalization –thus miscarriage of justice- of sex workers by whom the law ought to treat as victims of exploitation and sexual deception instead of perpetrators of crime.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pemahaman konsepmatematis siswa dengan menerapkan metode drill dan peta pikiran lebih baik daripadapemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswaKelas IX.4 SMPN 1 Ranah Pesisir Tahun Pelajaran 2017/ 2018. Jenis penelitian iniadalah penelitian eksperimen, dengan rancangan penelitian random terhadap subjek.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII Kelas IX.4 SMPN 1 RanahPesisir Tahun Pelajaran 2017/ 2018 yang terdiri dari enam kelas. Teknik pengambilansampel dilakukan secara acak, kelas IX5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan IX4 sebagaikelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes akhirpemahaman konsep matematis. Tes yang digunakan dalam bentuk esai denganreliabilitas tes adalah . Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji tsatu pihak dengan bantuan Minitab. Berdasarkan nilai tes akhir matematika siswa padakedua kelas sampel diperoleh rata-rata kelas eksperimen = 76,88 dengan simpanganbaku =18,44, rata-rata kelas kontrol = 64,41 dengan simpangan baku =17,10. Hasildari analisis data diketahui bahwa kedua sampel berdistribusi normal dan homogenpada taraf kepercayaan dan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t satupihak dengan bantuan MINITAB, diperoleh P-value sebesar 0,005 kurangdari , sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsepmatematis siswa dengan menerapkan metode drill dan peta pikiran lebih baik daripadapemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswaKelas IX.4 SMPN 1 Ranah Pesisir Tahun Pelajaran 2017/ 2018 pada taraf kepercayaan95%.Kata Kunci: Penerapan Metode Drill. Dimulai tahun 2013, Arena Sastra Indonesia diramaikan oleh fenomena kemunculan Denny J. A. dan para penulis muda Madura. Mereka tergolong penulis pendatang baru yang berusaha memasuki arena sastra demi memperoleh modal simbolik. Perbedaan posisi mereka dalam hierarki sosial dan perbedaan modal (ekonomi, sosial, dan kultural) mereka turut memengaruhi perbedaan strategi mereka dalam memasuki arena sastra. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk 1) menjelaskan struktur Arena Sastra Indonesia, 2) menjelaskan perbedaan habitus, modal, dan strategi Denny J. A. dengan para penulis muda Madura, dan 3) menjelaskan perbedaan modal simbolik yang mereka peroleh. Pendekatan teoritik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Arena Produksi Kultural Bourdieu. Hasil penelitian ini ialah 1) Arena Sastra Indonesia sepenuhnya berada di dalam arena kekuasaan; 2) Denny J. A. menggunakan strategi distingsi, strategi publikasi, dan strategi pendanaan, sedangkan para penulis muda Madura menggunakan strategi berkomunitas dan srawung, strategi publikasi, dan strategi mengekor; dan 3) Denny J. A. memperoleh modal simbolik secara instan atas “kebaruan” puisi esainya, sedangkan para penulis muda Madura memperoleh modal simbolik secara bertahap atas kuantitas dan intensitas kemunculan mereka di Arena Sastra Indonesia.

This study presents research about the effectiveness of debate method to improve students’ speaking skill to the students of second grade of exact of MA in Islamic Boarding School Al-JunaidiyahBiru Bone. In conducting the study, the researcher used quantitative method because the researcher conducted the data in form of numbers. And the way collected data by using pre-experimental design with pre-test and post-test and questionnaire. The purpose of this method was to carry out an experiment whether teaching speaking by using debate method if effective to the students’ speaking skill or not. After the data was collected and the result of the test was obtained to prove the hypothesis and to establish the validity, the researcher analyzed the value of t-observation. It was proved by the result of students’ test. The table showed that the mean score obtained by the students in the post-test (2.470) was greater than the mean score of the students in pre-test (1.529). The data of score of interest through questionnaire indicated that eight students or 47.058% whose score were in very high, seven students or 41.176% whose score were in high, two students or 11.764% whose score were in moderate. Debate method gave better result to improve the students’ speaking skill. In other words, debate method was effective and interesting to use in teaching English speaking.

The research aimed at finding out (1) The effectiveness of peer reviewing in enhancing the writing competence of the students of STAIN Watampone. (2) The writing components: content, organization, vocabulary, language use, and mechanics in that are mostly affected in the use of peer reviewing technique. This research applied a quasi-experimental method to two groups. The experimental group applied peer reviewing technique while the control group applied self assessment technique. The subjects of this research were the students of the fourth semester English Department of STAIN Watampone. The sample was chosen by applying cluster random sampling technique. In collecting data, the researcher used writing test in pretest and posttest. The data that was used in the form of quantitative data in the form of test results to write argumentative text. Then the results were analyzed by T-Test and ANOVA analysis using SPSS version 20 Program. The results of the analysis of the data showed that (1) peer reviewing techniques can enhance the quality of learning outcomes and process of writing argumentative text. It was proved by the mean score of posttest of experimental group was 75.16 while mean score of post test of control group was 68.85. The mean score of posttest was higher than the mean score of pretest (75.16>68.85). (2) The writing component was most affected of the use of peer reviewing was content (M: 22.05).

This study aims to reveal how inquiry-based learning can be used as a strategy in building harmony and solidarity which, in turn, can instill tolerance values in students. It is a qualitative research involving Sekolah Alam Ungaran in Semarang Regency as its subject of study. The study employs in-depth interview, observation, and documentation. It uses triangulation of resources and methods to ensure data validity. Meanwhile, data analysis refers to the Miles and Huberman technique. The study finds that the tolerance values in inquiry-based learning in Sekolah Alam Ungaran are built through three types of activities: (1) self-development through routine activities, spontaneous activities, exemplary and conditioning; (2) integration into materials or courses, and (3) formation of school culture. Later, these findings are designed to be a model of inquiry-based learning to build harmony and solidarity in students.

The research was aimed to: 1) examine what students prefer most when reading; printed or digital media; 2) examine whether there is an association between media preference (printed vs. digital) and gender; 3) examine the result modes of reading (printed vs. digital) on reading comprehension; examine the association between media preference and achievement; examine the association of reading media preference and learning styles. The study employed descriptive quantitative approach which used Repeated Measure Design to carry out the study. Total of samples involved in this study were 53 students which is selected through purposive sampling. The study employed three main instruments to obtain the data which is consisted to Reading Comprehension test, Reading Media Preference questionnaire and Learning Style Preference Questionnaire. Result of data analysis has drawn a numerous conclusions. First, most of students more like reading printed media than reading in digital media, but most of students were more often using digital reading media in their daily reading activity. Second, descriptively it was found that most of male more like and more often reading digital reading than female and most of female more like and more often reading digital reading than male. Meanwhile, quantitatively, there was no significant association between media preference and gender (P-Value: 0.334 > α: 0.05). Third, there was no significant different of reading comprehension between students who read through printed based reading and digital based reading (P-value: 0.896 > α: 0.05). Fourth, there was no an association between media preference and achievement. Chi-Square analysis (P-value: 0.239 > α: 0.05) and Ordinal Regression analysis (P-value: 0.808 > α 0.05) also showed that statistically there was not significant association between reading media preference and reading achievement. Last, in terms of the association of media preference and learning style, it was found that students with auditory learning style were more like printed reading media for their preference but majority of them were often read digital reading in their reading activity. Respondents with a visual learning style more like printed reading than digital reading and they also were more often read printed reading than digital reading. A kinesthetic learning style respondents were more like printed reading and majority of them also were often read printed than digital reading.
