AbstractThis research was done to investigate how oral presentation technique improves students’ speaking ability. This classroom action research was conducted in 2 cycles of which each consists of four stages of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The subject of this research was Year-11 students of SMAN 6 Pontianak in Academic Year 2018/2019. There were 33 students of MIPA 4 who participated in this research. The data were gathered from the students’ performance test, observation checklist, and field notes. Based on the data, the students showed improvement in their speaking ability. It was shown by the students’ enthusiasm to pay attention and follow every activity during the teaching and learning process. The implementation of this technique encouraged the students to speak and share their ideas in front of people. The data collected from the students’ performance test also revealed the improvement from cycle to cycle. In conclusion, the implementation of oral presentation technique improved students’ speaking ability.Keywords: Improving, Speaking Ability, Oral Presentation

Abstract   This research was conducted based on the observation of reading comprehension to the Year-8 students of MTs. Darul Ulum Kubu Raya in Academic Year 2016/2017. The purposes of the research are to investigate the significance of teaching reading comprehension in narrative text by using story map and to investigate the effectiveness of teaching reading comprehension in narrative text by using story map.It was pre experimental research. It involved pre-test, treatment, and post-test. There were 26 students in this research. The data were quantitative participating.This research found that the treatment improved the students’ ability in comprehending a narrative text reading. The mean score of pre-test was 57,88 and the mean score of post-test was 70,53. The improvement is significant statistically. It can be seen from value that was lower than the t-table -2,093 > -8,72. The effect size of using story map to the students’ reading comprehension on narrative text is 0,73 (Moderate).   Key Words: Effectiveness, Narrative, Story Map

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to examine the effectiveness of story with ten pictures game to develop Grade O students ability in telling story. This research was conducted to Grade O students of Kampoeng English Poernama in Academic Year of 2017 by administering a speaking performance test before and after the treatment. It was a pre-experimental design. The population of this research was all students of Kampoeng English Poernama in Academic Year of 2017, and the sample was taken from Grade O which consisted of 12 students. The data were analyzed by using t-test and effect size formula. The findings showed that the ten pictures game is significantly effective to develop students’ ability in telling story. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis which stated “Story with ten pictures game is effective to develop grade O students’ ability in telling story†is accepted.                                                                                                   Key words: Story with Ten Picures Game, Telling Story, Pre Experimental Study

AbstractThe aim of the study was to find out whether using Four Square Writing Method in teaching writing descriptive is effective. The form of this research was a pre-experimental study. The population of this research was the Year-10 students of SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak in academic year 2018/2019. By using cluster random sampling, the researcher took one class as the sample of this study. The sample was 35 students of X MIPA 1. The data were collected through written test. Before analyzing the data using t-test formula, the students’ test results were graded based on the scoring scale. In accordance to the findings of this study, it showed the significant effectiveness in students’ writing ability taught by using Four Square Writing Method. The obtained t-value (15.40) was higher than the critical r value (1.961) by the degree of freedom 33. It was inferred that Four Square Writing Method affects students’ descriptive writing ability significantly. Keywords: Descriptive Texts, Four Square Writing Technique, WritingÂ

The early-age marriage influenced by various factors.these factors are social factors, economic, cultural and tourist attractions. Another factor is factor of education and employment. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence the early-age marriage in desa Yogyakarta kecamatan Gadingrejo kabupaten Pringsewu. This type of research used in this research is quantitative. The research design was cross-sectional to be used. The research was conducted in March 2017 at desa Yogyakarta kecamatan Gadingrejo kabupaten Pringsewu. Population is 128 couple of perents at marry his daughter, samples were taken by simple random sampling technique of 128 as many as 97 couple of parent. Measuring devices in the form of a checklists sheet in univariate analysis whit the percentage table and bivariate percentage table whit chi square analysis and multivariate percentage table whit regresi logistic analysis. The result of the research shows that most factors related to early marriage in desa Yogyakarta kecamatan gadingrejo kabupaten pringsewu tahun 2017 are education factor with p-value 0,423 and Odds Ratio (OR) 138,498. Conclusion of Village head Yogyakarta can cooperate with health workers in village to do outreach in the community at early-age marriage, and developing businesses in the community to improve the economy and open new create jobs for residents.

Abstrak: Generasi emas merupakan target pemerintah Indonesia yang harus dicapai pada tahun 2045. Oleh sebab itu, berbagai upaya terus dilakukan oleh setiap kalangan termasuk dosen dan mahasiswa. Tujuan dilaksanakan kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar sebanyak 15 siswa yang bersekolah di daerah tertinggal. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 3 tahapan yakni pengenalan, bermain, dan pemberian motivasi dan reward. Selama pelaksanaan kegiatan, siswa sudah menunjukkan motivasi dan antusiasme yang cukup tinggi, sebanyak 98% siswa merasa terinspirasi untuk tetap bersekolah dengan baik demi tercapai cita-cita yang mereka sampaikan saat kegiatan berlangsung. Abstract: Gold generation is the Indonesian government target to be achieved in the year 2045. Therefore, various efforts continue to be done by every circle including lecturers and students. The purpose of this activity is to improve the motivation of learning as many as 15 students attending the disadvantaged areas. The activity is conducted for 3 phases namely introduction, play, and giving motivation and reward. During the implementation of the activities, students have demonstrated high motivation and enthusiasm, as many as 98% of students feel inspired to stay well in school to achieve the goals they convey during the activity

Abstrak: Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan motivasi kerja dan meningkatkan kemampuan dalam membuat pembukuan pada pemilik dan karyawan di Rumah Makan Taliwang 1 Cakranegara. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan cara pemberian pelatihan tentang semangat motivasi kerja terhadap 15 karyawan dan menggunakan sistem melalui pendampingan pada karyawan. Tahapan yang dilakukan adalah tahap presentasi pelatihan, analisa, praktek dan evaluasi atas materi yang telah di sampaikan.Hasil Pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi karyawan meningkat setelah diberikan semangat motivasi oleh pemateri dengan ditunjukkan oleh antusiasme karyawan/partisipan dalam menceritakan masalah yang dihadapi selama berkerja dan usahanya dalam mencari solusi dari setiap masalah.Selain itu karyawan juga mampu meningkatkan kesadaran dan kemampuan softskill mereka dalam membuat pembukuan menggunakan system Ms.Office agar bekerja menjadi lebih efisien, dapat menghemat waktu dan meminimalisir kesalahanditunjukkan dengan hasil evaluasi praktek menyatakan karyawan sudah bisa menerapkan metode tersebut. Abstract: This training aims to foster work motivation and improve the ability to make bookkeeping for employees at Taliwang 1 Cakranegara Restaurant. The method used is by providing training on work motivation for 15 employees and using the system through mentoring to employees. The steps taken are the presentation stage of the training, analysis, practice and evaluation of the material that has been conveyed. The results of this service show that employee motivation has increased after being motivated by the speaker by showing the enthusiasm of employees / participants in telling the problems encountered during work and their efforts in finding solutions to each problem. In addition, employees are also able to increase awareness and ability of their soft skills in making bookkeeping using the MS.Office system so that work becomes more efficient, can save time and minimize errors indicated by the results of practice evaluation states employees can apply the method.

Islamic law and women are one of mostly debated discourses bycontemporary Islamic thinkers particularly those who are gender issuesproponents. That discourse grows due to the accuse towards Islam thatthis religion is the source of gender inequality for women through outmuslim world especially in education, fairness and domestic freedom aswell as social welfare in the family. The assumption is that Islamic law ismale-based law. Therefore, it is a need to explore the note on Islamic lawdevelopment which is perceived from the role of women in the early age oflaw construction not from the aspect of the thought of classical ulama inthe middle age. This paper tries to explore and to discuss mainly the role ofSiti Aisyah as the teacher and the transmitter of hadith as the foundation ofIslamic law construction to underline women’s position and contributionas the law maker that it will prove that Islamic law is not merely men-basedlaw as the assumption grows.

ABSTRACT The library sector has high potential in creating quality human resources. In realizing this, the government needs to increase the reading interest the still low Klungkung societyaby utilizingathealibrary. The purpose of this research is to identify the implementation of the Gema Arcaastrategy in expanding the reading interest of the Klungkungasocietyaandaeffortsatoadesignaa newaapproach.aTheaunitaof analysis of this research was Archieves and Library Office of Klungkung Regency and this research used a qualitative descriptive method. The study produces alternative strategy of SO5(Strengths-Opportunities) through the SWOT matrix test, namely : utilizing IT as a means of information in the Klungkung regional library, develop appeal throughalibrary collections, create new innovations inathe implementation of library services, and procurementaof infrastructure facilitiesato supportalibrary services,aas well increasingaschoolaand village library development. The research was aimed to examine the operation technique to improve teaching speaking in a procedure text. The research was Classroom Action Research in three cycles. The participants of the research were year 11 students of SMK Al-Madani Pontianak who had difficulties in speaking skills, especially in performing spoken texts in a procedure text. The data were divided into qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data were collected by using questionnaires, video recordings, observation sheets, observation’s checklists, student’s self-evaluation, and field notes. Meanwhile, the quantitative data were collected from the student’s performance tests. The finding showed that through operation, the student’s learning behavior changed positively from less to good. The writer concludes that the use of operation technique which is adjusted to the classroom’s condition improve teaching speaking in a procedure text as well as the student’s speaking skill in performing the procedure text.
