Abstract

Deposit Ramba Joring merupakan bagian dari wilayah Kontrak Karya (KK) pertambangan umum PT Agincourt Resources yang terletak di Kelurahan Aek Pining, Kecamatan Batangtoru, Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi geologi meliputi geomorfologi, stratigrafi dan struktur geologi serta karakteristik bijih yang mengandung emas-perak pada deposit Ramba Joring. Penelitian dilakukan pada 44 lubang bor dan 15 conto permukaan. Penelitian menggunakan metode analisis petrografi sayatan tipis dan poles, Analytical Spectral Devices (ASD), Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy Dispersive (SEM EDS) serta pengolahan statistik data geokimia assay berupa nilai kadar kandungan Au, Ag, Cu, SxS (sulfide sulphur) yang didapatkan melalui analisis Atomic Absoption Spectrometry (AAS). Daerah penelitian tersusun oleh litologi, diurutkan dari tua ke muda, berupa satuan andesit hornblende dan breksi polimik-monomik. Satuan batuan andesit hornblende dan breksi polimik-monomik teralterasi kuat oleh empat jenis alterasi yaitu, silisifikasi (kuarsa-kalsedon-alunit-kaolinit±dikit), argilik lanjut (alunit±kuarsa-kaolinit±dikit-pirofilit), argilik (ilit±smektit-alunit-kaolinit-kuarsa) dan propilitik (klorit-epidot-kalsit). Terdapat enam jenis mineral sulfida pada daerah penelitian, paragenesa dimulai dari pirit, enargit, tennantit, tetrahedrit dan kovelit bersamaan dengan pengendapan emas-perak serta pirit dengan kristal berbentuk sempurna yang terbentuk paling akhir. Hasil uji pada data assay geokimia menunjukkan adanya korelasi antara kandungan unsur Au, Ag, Cu dan SxS (sulfide sulphur) terhadap jenis alterasi. Diketahui bahwa mineralisasi emas dan logam lainnya berasosiasiasi dengan mineral sulfida yang melimpah pada alterasi silisifikasi namun semakin berkurang pada jenis alterasi argilik hingga menghilang pada alterasi propilitik.

Abstract

Aktifitas magmatik dan tektonik yang diikuti oleh proses hidrotermal di Pulau Papua dimulai pada zaman Tersier yang menghasilkan batuan intrusi dan mineralisasi Cu-Au di wilayah Ertsberg ? Grasberg dan berpengaruh terhadap proses pembentukan Cebakan Big Gossan. Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan pemetaan alterasi, analisis petrografi dan mineragrafi untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan penyebaran alterasi  dan mineralisasi di Cebakan Big Gossan pada kedalaman 2.600 mdpl dan 2.640 mdpl. Berdasarkan himpunan mineral ubahannya dibedakan menjadi delapan zona, yaitu: Zona Diopsid ? K-feldspar, Zona Kuarsa ? Diopsid ? Garnet, Zona Garnet ? Diopsid + Epidot, Zona Biotit ? K-feldspar + Epidot, Zona Garnet ? Diopsid, Zona Aktinolit ? Tremolit, Zona Kuarsa ? Dolomit dan Zona Epidot ? Klorit. Berdasarkan asosiasi mineral logamnya, dapat dikelompokan menjadi lima zona, yaitu: Zona Pirit, Zona Kalkopirit ? Pirit ? Magnetit ? Sfalerit, Zona Kalkopirit ? Pirit ? Magnetit ? Hematit ? Sfalerit ? Galena, Zona Kalkopirit ? Pirit ? Magnetit ? Hematit serta Zona Magnetit ? Hematit. Penyebaran zona alterasi dan mineralisasi di daerah penelitian menunjukan arah baratlaut ? tenggara yang dikontrol oleh Sesar Big Gossan yang memiliki kesamaan arah.

Abstract

Abstract

The research aims to determine hydrothermal evolution of the mineralisation bearing fluid contained in the Ramba Joring Pit, including temperature, pressure, density and depth of mineralisation deposition formation. This research uses the fluid inclusion analysis. Inclusion sampling was carried out on two main textures of ore namely vuggy silica texture formed at range Th 331ºC to 394ºC, Tm -15.19ºC to -12.94ºC with salinity of 14.42 wt% - 14.89 wt%. NaCl equivalent and brecciated texture formed at range Th 287.8ºC – 398.2ºC, Tm -14.89ºC to -11,76ºC and salinity 13.91 wt% – 14.87 wt%. NaCl equivalent. The positive correlation between the homogenization temperature of mineralization formation and salinity of the solution indicates that the leaching process that forms cavities in rocks occurs at the initial stage of the hydrothermal alteration process that begins with the leaching process forming cavities (silica vuggy) followed by the process of silicification with brecciated texture, the deposition of mineralization takes place at this stage. The origin of the solution forms a hydrothermal deposition is a type of basinal water-seawater solution in the form of connate water which is still influenced by surface water/meteoric water, also shows an indication of a relationship with magmatic water. The density of metal-forming fluids ranges from 0.8 gr/cm3 – 0.9 gr/cm3 while the process that takes place in the formation of ore in Ramba Joring Pit is isothermal mixing with a slight warming effect/boiling.

Abstract

Sebanyak 31 sampel sedimen dari Teluk Ciletuh telah digunakan untuk studi mikrofauna dan polen. Pengambilan sampel permukaan menggunakan metoda shallow coring untuk analisis polen dan grab untuk mikrofosil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui distribusi spasial mikrofauna dan polen di daerah konservasi kawasan Geopark Ciletuh.Pengambilan sampel sedimen dilakukan pada bagian barat dan timur dari muara Sungai Palangpang. Secara umum, kondisi perairan di bagian barat dari muara sungai terlihat lebih jernih daripada perairan sebelah timur. Sedimen pantai di sebelah timur menunjukkan penghalusan ke arah barat, terdiri atas sedimen berupa pasir sangat kasar-sangat halus dengan kandungan pecahan fragmen cangkang bivalvia yang dominan, ke arah pantai berkembang kawasan mangrove yang dikembangkan oleh komunitas masyarakat setempat. di bagian barat dari muara sungai, sedimen berupa pasir sedang hingga lempung, dan ke arah pantai, endapan berupa pasir sedang yang bercampur dengan tanah.Hasil identifikasi dari 25 sampel sedimen yang diambil dari Teluk Ciletuh menunjukkan hanya 19 sampel yang mengandung mikrofauna. Identifikasi mikrofauna dilakukan secara kuantitatif dengan menghitung jumlah individu per 1 gram sampel sedimen kering. Terdapat 5135 individu mikrofauna, dengan kelimpahan secara berurutan adalah dari kelompok foraminifera bentonik (82,07%), foraminifera planktonik (5,84%), spikula (4,55%) dan kelompok non foraminifera (7,53%).Dari kawasan mangrove yang berada di pantai Cikadal, analisis polen terhadap 6 sampel sedimen permukaan diperoleh polen asal lingkungan mangrove, polen freshwater, terrestrial dan polen dari pegunungan.

Abstract

Ilota Nanasi Au-Ag deposit located in the western flank of the Gn. Baganite, a part rhyodacite dome in Gn. Pani district, Gorontalo Province, where the extensive exploration programs were carried out by PT Gorontalo Sejahtera Mining (a subsidiary of PT J Resources Nusantara) from 2012 – 2020.  As the result, a total of 72.7 Mt @ 0.98 g/t Au and 0.85 g/t Ag (2.3 Moz Au and 2.6 Moz Ag) mineral resource was delineated in 2019. This paper mainly aimed to the petrogenesis association of granitoid basement and rhyodacite unit as the host rock in the Ilota Nanasi gold deposit. The geology of Ilota Nanasi is overlain by Late Miocene granodiorite, andesite and diorite basement, Pliocene volcanic complex predominantly dacite – rhyodacite, tuff, breccia, and quaternary deposit as alluvial and surface breccia. Hydrothermal alteration and gold – silver mineralization centered in the porphyritic rhyodacite host rocks where the intense silicification forming a zone around the hydrothermal crackle breccia unit and/or high-density quartz vein, veinlets and stockworks. Mineralization in Ilota Nanasi is interpreted as a low sulfidation epithermal system dominated by a large volume of hydrothermal crackle breccia, intense quartz veining, veinlets, and high-density fracturing. A combined analytical result of petrography and whole-rock geochemistry has been used to assess the petrogenetic association of the rhyodacite and granitoid basement in the Ilota Nanasi. The result of the AFM diagram plot shows sample trends in calc-alkaline magma field. In contrast, the SiO2 – K2O plot distributed in two trends: the older unit was associated with high-K calc-alkaline and the shoshonite series for the younger unit. The changing of magma series is considered as product of crystallization differentiation of evolved parental magma or derived from the melting of mantle material after the mantle or lower crustal was metasomatized during a former episode of subduction.

Abstract

The igneous rocks of the Citirem Formation in the Ciletuh – Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark area petrographically not only consist of basalt, but also andesite, dacite, and gabbro. The characteristics of basalts Citirem Formation are composed of plagioclase 43% – 58% and olivine, mostly have amygdaloidal and aphanitic textures. Andesites are composed of 45% – 65% plagioclase, absence of olivine, mostly aphanitic and trachytic, some have intergranular textures. Dacite comprises 50% plagioclase, 20% quartz, and the absence of olivine, and aphanitic, intersertal textures. Gabbros are composed of 62% plagioclase, 6% – 12% olivine, with phaneritic texture. Based on the plot of the major elements vs SiO2 diagram, MgO, FeOt (Fe2O3+FeO), CaO, and TiO2 show a negative correlation with SiO2. In comparison, Na2O and K2O show a positive correlation with SiO2. The lithology of igneous rocks of Citirem Formation are basalt, trachybasalt, basaltic trachyandesite, trachyandesite, andesite, dacite and gabbro based on a plot of the Na2O+K2O vs SiO2 diagram for volcanic and plutonic rocks. The origin of magma type can be distinguished based on the plot of K2O vs SiO2 diagrams, the igneous rocks of Citirem Formation are divided into low-K, medium-K, high-K, and shoshonite magma series. Dacite STA 2, andesite STA 7, basaltic andesite STA 8, trachyandesite STA 10 and gabbro STA 14 are calc-alkaline based on triangular diagram Th-Hf-Ta-Zr-Nb. Gabbro STA 17 indicates IAT (island arc tholeiite), trachybasalt STA 19, basalt STA 20 and basaltic trachyandesite STA 27 are E-MORB, WPT (within plate tholeiitic), In contrast, trachybasalt STA 28 is WPA (within plate alkali). Primitive mantle long, NMORB-normalized REE patterns and chondrites-normalized show some rocks have distinctive patterns that have similarities with suprasubduction zone ophiolite rocks, MORB of Mirdita ophiolite, and some show similarities with patterns from OIB and E-MORB.

Abstract

Ponelo Island is located in the northern part of Sulawesi, which is still an enigma regarding the genesis of the volcanic rocks found on this island. Therefore, the objective of this study is to understand the petrogenesis and tectonic implication of these volcanic rocks. Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) to obtain trace and rare earth elements is the method of this study. The volcanic rocks found on Ponelo Island consist of basalt and basaltic andesite rocks with a calc-alkaline affinity. The transition data suggested a highly fractionated cause of low transition element (Ni=17-38 ppm; Cr=13-47) compared to primary magma concentration, anomalies negative of Ba, Sr, and Ti of spider diagrams, and negative anomaly of Eu (Eu/Eu*=0.88-0.99). Relationship between low concentration between Ce/Y (0.74-0.76) and La/Yb vs Sm/Yb ratio indicated ~5% spinel-lherzolite mantle source partial melting. On the other hand, incompatible element ratios, such as Ba/Nb (39.03-45.28), Ba/Th (75.52-82.67), Rb/Nb (3.93-6.22), K/Nb (1772.22-2703.45), Ba/La=13.67-14.57, Th/La (0.17-0.18), La/Nb (2.91-3.16), depleted Nb/U (6-6.74), and also lack of xenolith or enclaves indicate cryptic crustal contamination.  The slab-derived fluid indicated by ratios of Rb/Y (0/019-0/05), Nb/Y (0.10-0.11), Th/Yb (0.52-0.61), and Ba/La ratio (13.29-14.57). Ponelo volcanic rocks shows typical calc-alkaline island arc tectonic setting particularly with enrichment in ion lithophile element (LILE) and light rare earth elements (LREE) along with depletion in high field strenght elements (HFSE) and heavy rare earth elemets (HREE), as shown by spider diagrams.

Abstract

This research focuses on studying geological conditions that develop in the research area which is based on studies related to geomorphology, stratigraphy and geological structures that develop in the research area. In this research, the data used comes from mapping and taking surface data in a research area with an area of 12.5 km2, followed by petrographic analysis to determine the types of rocks found in the research area. The research area is divided into three geomorphological units, namely Sloping Volcanic-Structural Rolling Hills, Steep Volcanic-Structural Hills, and Sloping Volcanic-Structural Rolling Hills. The drainage pattern in the research area consists of parallel patterns in almost the entire area and sub-dendritic flow patterns in the central part of the area. The research area is composed of 3 lithologies, from old to young, namely, andesite, diorite which was formed as an intrusion, and breccia which consists of polymic and monomic breccia with fragments in the form of andesite, diorite, quartz fragments and carbon. The structures in the study area have the main directions northwest-southeast and northeast-southwest, both of which influence the morphology of the study area.
