The emission of nitrogen oxide (NOx), nitrogen monoxide (NO) and carbon monoxide (CO) from vehicle exhaust gas generates an adverse effect to the environment as well as the human health. Therefore, the need to reduce such emission is urgent. The decrease of the emission can be achieved through the use of catalytic converter. This study explains the application of catalytic converter prepared from activated carbon to enhance the activity through its adsorption ability. The activated carbon was derived from banana peels after heating them up at 400 ºC for 1.5 hours and activation using natrium hydroxide (NaOH). Several techniques including N2 adsorption-desorption, X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy-Electron Dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX), and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) were adopted to characterize the activated carbon properties. The activated carbon formed was then coated with copper. The activity of the catalytic converter using activated carbon coated with copper was then tested for its performance on diesel engine Yanmar TF 70 LY-DI with variations in the number of catalyst layers, namely 1 layer (C1), 2 layers (C2) and 3 layers (C3). Sample with three layers (C3) of catalyst exhibited the highest activity with the percentage efficiency in reducing emissions concentration of 48.76 %; 31.27 % and 29.35 % for NOx, NO and CO, respectively.

Pengukuran merupakan element penting cialam sebuah dunia industri, yang mana nhlai pengukuran selalu menjadi nilai kualitas dalam sebuah produk berdasarkan spesiflkasi yang telah ditetapkan dalam sebuah produk tersebut. Dan untuk memperoleh hasil yang maksimal maka alat ukur haruslah selalu terawat dan didalam perawatannya haruslah dilakukan prosedur kalibrasi yang dilakukan secara berkala berdasarkan batas waktu yang telah ditetapkan. Kalibrasi merupakan kegiatan yang dilakukan secara berkala dengan cara melakukan perbandingan besaran standar antara alat ukur dengan alat tester yang sesuai dengan alat ukur tersebut. Dan didalam pelaksanaannya seringkali terdapat nilal cakupan yang tidak merata dimana nilai tersebut disebut dengan stilah nilai ketidakpastian. Analisis prosedur kalibrasi dalam menentukan nilai ketidakpastian pada dial indikator berdasarkan JIS B 7503. Merupakan penelitian yang bersifat deskriptif sehingga penjelasan masalah akan lebih bersifat pemaparan dengan cara berpikir deduktif. Dan hash penelitian nilai ketidakpastian dan dial indikator masih memenuhi standar JIS B 7503, sedangkan dan hasil analisa secara regresi terjadi kesalahan sistematis yaitu pergeseran titik rid, dimana seharusnya berada pada titik nol tetapi pada angka fbI offside sebesar 0.2928 pm untuk putaran naik dan sebesar -0.3848 pm untuk putaran turun. Untuk nilai batas atas dan bawah secara statistik diketahui untuk batas atas adalah 0.2792pm dan untuk batas bawah adalah 020651pm berlaku untuk putaran naik sedangkan untuk putaran turun nilai batas atas adalah 0.5388pm dan untuk batas bawah adalah 0.00665pm. Hash mi menyatakan bahwa dial indikator masih sangat baik karena dalam JIS B 7503 indication error the whole measuring range ±5pm. Saran dan penelitian ml agar kalibrasi dilakukan dengan prosedur yang telah diakui dan tenaga kalibrasi harus memiliki ketrampilan dan keahlian yang memadai karena hasil kalibrasi bergantung kepadanya.

Every government institution must maintain a harmonious relationship with the community. As the front guard in establishing relationships between an organization and its public, public relations has a very important role in providing quality and satisfying public services for the community. The State Civil Service Agency as an institution that has responsibility for the management of the State Civil Apparatus makes public service one of the priorities that has targets that must be effective and efficient so that it must be taken seriously. This study aims to find out what roles are played by Public relations in carrying out public services at the National Civil Service Agency. This study used data collection methods through interviews and the selection of research informants through purposive sampling, which were in accordance with the selected criteria and were indeed relevant to the research problem, namely Youth Public relations Officers (Sub-coordinators). The results of this study indicate that the role of public relations in public services at the State Personnel Agency plays an important role in maintaining the positive image of the State Personnel Agency by publicizing all activities carried out by the State Personnel Agency, providing information, inviting scheduled hearings if problems occur and requires solutions by discussing directly, as well as ensuring that the public services of the State Civil Service Agency meet the required standards and can be used as evaluation material for improvement and enhancement of public services in the State Personnel Agency.

Each person must have experienced a variety of problems and obstacles in his life. If someone in his life is hopeless and strength to face the problems of life, the person may experience depression can even become stressful. Depression is not only experienced by adults but children may also experience depression knows no social class. Many factors that cause a person to become depressed and down. Depression is one of the main causes of suicide (suicide). As many as 40% of patients with depression have suicidal ideas, and only approximately 15% that succeed do so. WHO predicts that by 2020, depression will be one of the more experienced of mental disorders and severe depression will be the second largest cause of death after a heart attack. Based on data from the WHO in 1980, nearly 20% - 30% of hospital patients in developing countries mental emotional disorder such as depression. Depression is an emotional disorder or a bad mood characterized by prolonged sadness, hopelessness, guilt and does not mean. So that all mental processes (thinking, feeling and behaving) can affect the motivation to move in daily life and in interpersonal relationships

Lupus is an autoimmune disease that affects the physical condition and the individual's psychological. Lupus makes teenagers tend to have low subjective well-being. One of the intervention methods to improve personal well-being is through expressive writing. This research aims to observe the effectiveness of expressive writing to improve teenagers' subjective well-being with lupus. This research used one group pretest post-test design involving four people as the subjects (N=4). The data were collected using the measurement tools of Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE), Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), interview, observation, and the results of the writing of the subjects during the therapy session. The results of the experimental research were in the form of quantitative analysis with the data analysis technique of the K-related sample test, showing no significant change to the scores of the subjective well-being among the subjects after given the therapy of expressive writing. However, the qualitative results showed that definitive writing therapy could be a catharsis media for teenagers with lupus. Therefore, we can conclude that expressive writing is less effective in improving subjective well-being but can be used as a catharsis media for teenagers with lupus.

Perkembangan kurikulum dalam ranah pendidikan kian waktu kian berkembang pesat. Kurikulum merupakan nyawa dalam keberlangsungan sebuah pendidikan. Di Indonesia sendiri, perkembangan kurikulum cukup signifikan dan semakin mengarah kepada tuntutan zaman yang pada saat ini kita berada pada zaman era revolusi 4.0 di mana masyarakat digiring menjadi masyarakat industri sehingga segala aspek kehidupan termasuk pendidikan khususnya sangat dituntut kesesuaian atau penyelarasan dengan era revolusi industri 4.0 yang bertitik berat pada teknologi dan informasi. Sehingga, kurikulum 2013 hendaknya diperhitungkan sebagai pedoman penyelenggaraan kegiatan pembelajaran untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan bidang-bidang tertentu; termasuk untuk bidang Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, baik dalam posisinya sebagai mata pelajaran wajib maupun peminatan. Kemutakhiran dalam bidang pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia khususnya Sastra sangatlah dituntut guna menyelaraskan dengan tuntutan perkembangan dan kemajuan zaman teknologi dan informasi. Dari hasil kajian lapangan, diperoleh data mengenai proporsional pembagian materi atau beban material antara bahasa dengan sastra yang selama ini tertuang dan diatur dalam kurikulum 2013 yang dilaksanakan di sekolah. Selain itu, penerapan pendekatan integral dalam pengajaran berbagai materi ajar di sekolah merupakan jalan keluar awal untuk mengakhiri kepincangan selama ini, serta didapat pula kemutakhiran yang telah diterapkan di sekolah-sekolah dalam kaitannya pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia khususnya Sastra Indonesia.

Sebuah cerita fiksi realistik mempunyai daya tarik tersendiri bagi pembaca. Anak dapat memperoleh dan belajar berbagai pengalaman dari orang lain tanpa harus mengalaminya sendiri yang kemudian dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengambil sikap dalam kehidupannya. Salah satu jenis isi dari cerita fiksi realistik ialah cerita keluarga di pihak lain, dimaksudkan sebagai cerita yang mengangkat hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari di tengah keluarga. Film Pendek berseri “Nusa dan Rara” merupakan salah satu jenis karya sastra bergenre Fiksi Realistik, di mana kedidaktisan tersebut tersaji dalam teknik-teknik pengungkapan setiap unsurnya dan prinsip-prinsip kedidaktisan pendidikan dan pengajaran dalam karya sastra secara logis dan sistematis.

Pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia di tingkat sekolah disinyalir belum menunjukkan keberhasilan yang signifikan. Aspek keterampilan berbahasa seperti membaca dan menulis pun masih dinilai belum berhasil mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Dalam kurikulum 2013, bahasa Indonesia merupakan mata pelajaran yang dipertahankan pada segala jenjang pendidikan. Proses pembelajaran diarahkan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan anak mengobservasi dan memahami persoalan. Penyampaian materi pembelajaran Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia memegang porsi penting. Mengingat pentingnya kemampuan membaca dan menulis guna memahami ilmu-ilmu lain, maka pendidikan literasi perlu dibudayakan sejak dini. Pembelajaran Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia yang dilaksanakan di sekolah secara tidak langsung bisa menumbuhkan budaya literasi pada peserta didik. Kebiasaan membaca dan menulis dapat ditanamkan sejak dini.Kata kunci: pembelajaran bahasa; kurikulum 2013; pendidikan literasi.

Breast cancer is a condition in which cells lose their normal control so that it can result in abnormally rapid and uncontrolled tissue growth. Nausea and vomiting are one of the side effects that often occur in the use of cytostatics in chemotherapy. One of the non-pharmacological nursing interventions to reduce nausea and vomiting scores is acupressure. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of acupressure therapy on nausea and vomiting scores in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. This study uses a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test post-test design. The sample amounted to 11 respondents with a sampling technique that is purposive sampling. The data processing used in this research is the t-test. The results showed that the mean score of nausea and vomiting before acupressure intervention was 22.46 and the average score of nausea and vomiting after acupressure was 14.27. There is a difference in the score of nausea and vomiting before and after the acupressure intervention with p value 0.000 (p <0.05), meaning that there is an effect of acupressure on the nausea and vomiting score in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. It is recommended for nursing services to make acupressure intervention as a non-pharmacological therapy in reducing nausea and vomiting scores in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Implementing collaborative written feedback instruction is a way to develop students’ awarenes of writing as a process, the benefits of peer review and feedback, and the important roles of peer interaction for learning. The current research aimed at understanding students’ experiences of providing and responding to written feedback in group. It specifically sought to answer these questions: 1.) What are students’ perceptions toward collaborative written feedback experience? 2) What are students’ collaborative written feedback practices? and 3). What factors affect students’ collaborative written feedback experience? Conducted as a qualitative case study, the research reported the collaborative written feedback experiences of a group of three undergradutae EFL students in Essay Writing course. Data were drawn from observations, focus group interview, student reflective essay, and collection of related documents and artifacts. The findings show that students have positive perceptions toward collaborative written feedback instruction citing that it helps them improve their writing and develop their interpersonal skills. The study also reveals that changing roles in the group and the use of media paltform to communicate are among the strategies employed in collaborative written feedback practices. Factors such as peer’s characteristics, level of confidence and task seemed to have affected these practices. Suggestions on the ways in which collaborative written feedback instruction can be implemented effectively are also provided.
