Abstract

PT PLN (Persero) ULP Dua Langsa is a unit located in the Aceh region with losses of 4-7%. This research aims to analyze the reliability of 20 kV medium voltage overhead lines (SUTM) based on SAIDI and SAIFI. Factors that cause losses include loss of electrical energy due to load imbalances using unbalanced electrical loads in each phase. One of the programs to reduce losses to overcome this problem is using the MPR load balancing method (Reducing Technical Losses from House Connections) on New Installs, with the increasing number of customers and increasing growth in kWH sales, it is very important to control losses from balancing the transformer load. Compared with the system provisions at PT. PLN (Persero) The two-langsa flow is 1.04 for SAIFI, while the SAIDI value is 2.12. The ASAI (Average Service Availability Index) value is categorized as not yet reliable because it exceeds the IEEE standard of 0.999271.

Abstract

Hydroponics is a form of plant cultivation that is widely used without using soil and has several circulation systems such as (Deep Flow Technique) DFT and (Nutrient Film Technique) NFT. This research describes one solution to improve the weaknesses of manual hydroponics, especially in terms of circulating nutrient fluids and using pumps. Hydroponic farmers tend to circulate nutrient fluids using pumps that operate 24 hours continuously, whose electricity is supplied by PLN. In addition, the pump remains on continuously for 24 hours, which can shorten the life of the pump. This hydroponic design uses a DFT hydroponic system equipped with a DS18B20 sensor which can measure the volume of nutrient fluid, a water level sensor and also measure the temperature of the nutrient fluid in the hydroponic pipe. The electrical power to drive the pump comes from solar heat produced by solar panels. Here the relay sensor, water level sensor and assisted by a water flow sensor and DS18B20 sensor as the main key in the nutrient fluid circulation process in hydroponic plants are assisted by a 12V DC pump and all of this cannot be separated from the control system used to check sensor performance, namely the Arduino Microcontroller system.

Abstract

One of the disturbances that occur in the electrical network is short circuit disturbances. This interference can be overcome by using an OCR/GFR relay that works with circuit breaker equipment. However, if the relay experiences problems, then when a short circuit occurs in the network, the relay cannot work to secure the installation, and will cause an expansion of the affected outage area. At the Sei Rotan Bay Power Transformer Substation 3, there was a case of sympathetic tripping caused by the OCR/GFR Brand Micom P142 relay on the ST4 feeder experiencing an error and not being detected by the working operator due to the absence of an indication of the error relay, and the result was disruption to the feeder. This caused the Power Transformer Incoming Bay 3 to go out. For this reason, it is necessary to install an unhealthy relay condition monitoring circuit in the cubicle and protection panel. Experiments on installing the unhealthy relay monitoring circuit were carried out in the ST5 spare cubicle. Installing a monitoring circuit in the ST5 spare cubicle can work well by providing a visual indication in the form of an error relay indication light, and also an audible indication in the form of a buzzer which can be heard in the operator's room. Apart from that, installing the unhealthy relay monitoring circuit does not cause problems with the 110 VDC working system in the ST5 cubicle.

Abstract

The use of smart control systems is now very clear and its current use is very broad which is driven by current technological advances. In this paper, we describe the ink protection system on printer machines where d is a means of controlling the ink level where an alarm system is created which is expected in the future. can support the performance needs of printing machines on a large scale. The input given is in the form of an analog quantity and the output produced by the sensor is issued in the form of a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) quantity which is connected to the printer pump via a pipe to pump ink from the ink tube. Currently, many pump machines have automatic settings to determine the viscosity of the ink liquid. The pump referred to here is a pump that uses air pressure as a power source, especially for printing machines, this pump plays a very important role in pumping ink from outside and into the machine automatically, so in this way the operator on the machine no longer moves ink with the risk that the ink could hit the operator. or worst of all, the ink can spill and damage the printing machine's working system.

Abstract

Plants need water to grow well, so watering must follow the plant's needs. Parameters that affect the process of watering plants are air temperature and soil moisture, thus, we need a control system that can make decisions in the form of watering time to meet plant water needs according to their needs, namely an automatic watering system. Fuzzy method can be used for human-like decision making in a control system. This study uses the Sugeno fuzzy method which is integrated into the Microcontroller as the controller. Testing of this system is carried out on eggplant plants which are regulated based on how long the watering time is so that the air temperature and soil moisture are following the plant's needs. The test resulted that the effective watering time interval so that the eggplant soil moisture was maintained at 40-60% was 21 seconds. It can be concluded that the fuzzy inference embedded in the design has been able to overcome the problem of watering eggplant plants, where the test shows that after the watering process, the soil moisture value can be maintained at an average value of 55% so that the soil moisture is following the needs of the plant.

Abstract

The need for electrical energy efficiency is increasing along with the high cost of energy and concerns about environmental impacts. At the household scale, electrical energy waste often occurs due to the lack of effective monitoring. Internet of Things (IoT) technology offers an innovative solution by enabling real-time monitoring of energy consumption through connected devices. This study aims to design and implement an IoT system based on NodeMCU ESP32 and PZEM-004T sensor to monitor electrical energy usage in households. The research method involves the integration of current and voltage sensors with an ESP32 microcontroller, which is connected via a Wi-Fi network for data collection. The data collected includes electrical parameters such as voltage, current, power, and energy, which are then displayed in real-time through a user interface. The results show that this system is able to monitor energy consumption with good accuracy, detect energy waste patterns, and provide early warnings of electricity usage anomalies. This system also increases user awareness of energy consumption, thereby reducing electricity waste and supporting energy conservation efforts. Thus, this study contributes to the development of IoT technology for more efficient and sustainable household energy management.

Abstract

In today’s highly competitive retail and industrial landscape, multiproduct retail systems face growing challenges due to complex operations, fluctuating demand, and market uncertainty. This paper presents a data-driven framework for optimizing integrated decision-making and enhancing operational efficiency. By utilizing historical transaction data and advanced analytical techniques, the model combines key operational functions—including demand forecasting, inventory management, and resource allocation—to support real- time, data-informed decisions. The approach employs predictive modeling and optimization algorithms to minimize operational costs while maintaining product availability and service level targets. The initial model features five interconnected components: inspection, distribution, disposal, recovery, and retail centers. However, it currently excludes forward logistics, fleet operations, and is limited to a single product and planning period. To address supplier uncertainty, a deterministic equivalent formulation is introduced, relying on the estimation of statistical moments from limited data. Since supplier selection is critical to effective sourcing strategies, improving this process directly enhances supply chain performance. The study highlights that accurately identifying and modeling operational uncertainties is essential for achieving robust and optimal outcomes in retail environments.

Abstract

The effectiveness of social assistance programs depends heavily on the accuracy and transparency of beneficiary identification. In many urban areas, including Medan, challenges such as incomplete data, administrative bias, and inefficient targeting often lead to inclusion and exclusion errors in determining beneficiaries of the MBG (Makan Bergizi Gratis) program. This study aims to develop an explainable data-driven machine learning model to improve the accuracy and transparency of identifying eligible MBG program beneficiaries. The research employs a quantitative approach using socio-economic and demographic datasets collected from local government records, including variables such as household income, employment status, education level, household size, housing conditions, and access to public services. Several machine learning algorithms, including Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, and Logistic Regression, are implemented to classify potential beneficiaries. To enhance transparency and interpretability, the model integrates Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) techniques, such as SHAP (Shapley Additive Explanations), to identify the most influential factors affecting eligibility predictions. The results demonstrate that the proposed data-driven model significantly improves the accuracy of beneficiary classification while providing interpretable insights into key socio-economic indicators influencing eligibility. The findings indicate that income level, employment status, household dependency ratio, and housing conditions are among the most critical determinants in identifying eligible recipients. The implementation of explainable machine learning models supports more transparent and accountable decision-making in social assistance programs. This research contributes to the development of data-driven governance by providing a robust analytical framework for improving the targeting efficiency of social welfare programs in urban areas. Practically, the proposed framework can assist policymakers and local government agencies in designing fairer and more efficient beneficiary identification systems for the MBG program in Medan City, ultimately supporting better resource allocation and improved social welfare outcomes.
