This pre-experimental research aims to identify whether using audio-visual media in the form of learning videos can improve the listening ability of third-grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Mengkendek. The released fickle in this research is a learning video while the contingent fickle listens to ability. The inhabitant in this investigation was every third-grade learner of SMP Negeri 4 Mengkendek, as many as 5 classes, while the sample was class III. A with 20 students. The research instrument used a listening test; the test given to students consisted of 2, namely a pre-test and a post-test consisting of 30 multiple-choice questions. The data analysis technique is SPSS, built on the proceeds of data coverage, P = 0.001 is smaller than ɑ= 0.05, which means that H0 of this study is refused and H1 is received. So, it should be decided that the application of learning using audio-visual learning videos improves the listening ability of third-grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Mengkendek.

The objective of this study was to find out students’ perception of the use of Islamic English songs in learning and listening at Madrasah Aliyah of Pesantren Modern IMMIM Putra Makassar. This research used the mixed methods approach. The population of this research was the students of the third-grade Madrasah Aliyah of Pesantren Modern IMMIM Putra Makassar. Through a purposive sampling technique, there were 21 students in the third grade were chosen to be the sample of this research. The instruments of this research were a questionnaire and an interview. The research findings showed that there are 8 students (38.1%) in the category of strongly positive perception, and 7 students (33.3%) in the category of positive perception. It is supported by the data obtained based on the three aspects of perception. From the cognitive aspect, 8 students (38.1%) were in the strongly positive category and 8 students (38.1%) were in the positive category. From the affective aspect, 8 students (38.1%) were in the strongly positive category and 8 students (38.1%) were in the positive category. From the conative aspect, 10 students (47.62%) were in the strongly positive category and 6 students (28.57%) were in the positive category. The researcher also found some additional information from the interview results. It was found that the students “agreed to”, “were comfortable about”, and “were motivated to” the use of Islamic English songs in learning listening at Madrasah Aliyah of Pesantren Modern IMMIM Putra Makassar.

The objective of the research was to determine whether there was a significant effect of the use of audio podcasts on the students’ listening skills. This research was done at SMAN 4 Makassar. The population of this research was the students of SMAN 4 Makassar. The researchers used cluster random sampling to choose the sample of the research. The sample of this research was 25 students from XI IPA 3. The researchers used a quantitative technique. The instrument of this research was a listening test using audio podcasts which was administered as a pretest and post-test. Based on the result of the data analysis showed that the use of audio podcasts improved the students’ listening skills. It was shown by the mean post-test score which was higher than the pretest means score (51.76 > 63.63). The value of the t-test was more significant (0.005). Then, the researchers concluded that using audio podcast on listening skills has a significant effect on students’ listening skills.

The objectives of this study were to find out the students’ perception of the use of the Scrabble game as a learning technique for learning vocabulary and to find out the problems that the students face when learning vocabulary. A mixed-method design was used in this study. The population of this research was the students of Ponpes DDI Mattoanging Bantaeng in the academic year 2022/2023. Through the purposive sampling technique, 20 students in an English meeting of Ponpes DDI Mattoanging Bantaeng were chosen to be the sample of this research. The instruments of this research were a questionnaire and an interview. The research findings showed that eight students (40%) have a strongly positive perception, seven students (35%) have a positive perception, two students (10%) have a negative perception, and there are three students (15%) have a strongly negative perception. Based on the data, it can be concluded that the students positively perceive the use of the Scrabble game as a learning technique for learning vocabulary. There are three problems that the students face when learning vocabulary. They are students who find it hard in pronouncing, writing vocabulary, and memorizing vocabulary.

This research aims to determine the relationship between movie clips and students’ self-confidence of SMPN 18 Makassar students toward learning English using movie clips. The qualitative method was employed in this study. Students from SMPN 18 Makassar’s class VIII-5 participated in this study during the 2023-2024 school year. Simple random selection was used to choose ten students to participate. An interview is the tool utilized in this study to get information for the research question’s findings Overall, the majority of students gave positive responses to English learning using movie clips. Positive perceptions regarding English learning using movie clips were expressed as follows: 1) Increasing self-confidence, 2) increasing sense of independence, and 3) helping in learning. Therefore, it can be concluded that students have a positive perception of English learning using movie clips.

This research was conducted at MTS Guppi Pesuloang, involving 16 seventh-grade students and an English teacher as subjects. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to find out the types of student misbehavior that appear in the EFL class. Student misbehavior as a single variable. This research has two instruments, namely the observation checklist and the interview. From the research it was found that there were 7 misbehaviors committed by students in the process of learning English in the classroom during the research, namely 1) Ignoring the uniform rules, 2) Not paying attention to the teacher's explanation, 3) Distrupting classmates, 4) Using google translate, 5) Diverting the conversation from the subject matter, 6) Disobeying teacher's instructions, and 7) Talking too much.

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of using YouTube videos of procedure text to improve students' speaking skills in the tenth grade of SMAN 5 Enrekang. This research is pre-experimental research involving one class that is given a treatment. The population of this research is the tenth-grade students of SMAN 5 Enrekang. The sample was obtained from the population using the cluster random sampling method where one class, class X KM 8, which consists of 33 students, was selected randomly. The data collection process involved the administration of a speaking pre-test and post-test. The data collected from the speaking oral test was analyzed quantitatively using the IMB SPSS application and was used to compare the pre-test and post-test using the Paired Sample T-test. The analysis results show that the mean pre-test score is 34.36 with a "very poor" classification, and the mean score of the post-test is 60.45 in the "fair" classification. Based on the hypothesis of this study, there is a significant effect of using YouTube videos of procedure text in improving the students' speaking skills in the tenth grade of SMAN 5 Enrekang. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of YouTube videos of procedure text improves the speaking skills of the students in the tenth grade of SMAN 5 Enrekang.

New technologies have given students better ways to invest more productive time in class, such as listening classes. This study focuses on the effect of flipped learning on students' listening comprehension. Its objectives are to evaluate students' reactions to the flipped learning paradigm and to examine the effectiveness of flipped learning in enhancing high school students English listening skills. Quantitative research methodologies were used in this experiment. The outcomes demonstrated that the flipped learning methodology at SMA Negeri 6 Maros increased students' English listening abilities. Based on the questionnaire, students have a positive view of learning English with the flipped learning model. They agreed that using the flipped learning model made them more active in class. The results of this study can be very helpful in guiding the teaching of listening comprehension for high school teachers and improving listening comprehension for high school students.

This study aimed to find what types of speech errors uttered and investigate the dominant types of speech errors were uttered in HiHo Kids YouTube videos. This research approach was descriptive qualitative. The data sources in this study came from fifteen videos on HiHo Kids YouTube. Data were described based on the theory of Clark and Clark (1977). The results of the research showed that: (1) There were seven types of speech errors based on Clark and Clark’s theory. There were 98 speech errors uttered by 15 videos, consisting of 23 silent pauses, 27 filled pauses, 21 repeats, 1 retraced false start, 3 corrections, 2 stutters, and 21 interjections. (2) The most dominant error was filled pause, which consists of 27 utterances. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that speech errors uttered by the kids were normal because they did not use any script, they spoke spontaneously, and the listener can understand what the speaker said.
